I'm a new patient at dental excellence, if I had more stars I would give them more. The service here is great and it has made me smile tremendously. Given that they have to fix a mess that another practice incurred I am forever greatful, the staff is pleasant and lady and the doc that was working on me made me safe and comfortable! I can't wait to continue on project smile ! Appreciate you all for making a real difference ! Putting excellence first! The facility is high tech and clean !! Big details here!! Thank you !! As an individual who is terrified of going to the dentist, Dental Excellence Integrative Center (DEIC) did an amazing job at easing my fear and anxiety. I cannot say enough positive comments about this practice, they are clean, professional, kind, and patient. My review begins at reception, every individual I have spoken with at the front desk has been extremely kind and accommodating. As I was simply afraid to get my wisdom teeth removed, I called in to reschedule my appointment twice, and both times, I was met with patience and kindness, not frustration. The day of my surgery came, and I finally had to bite the bullet and get my procedure done. Worried and afraid, I struggled to walk into the facility. I was checked in immediately by the friendly staff and was sat down in the lobby for a few minutes before it was time for my surgery (scheduled for 1pm, in doctors' seat at 1pm). *NOTE: Best lobby music ever, orchestral Disney/Linkin Park was playing. After I was seated by the assistant, I took a quick glance around the room. The first thing I noticed was how clean and organized all of the equipment was. All of the equipment looked brand new, and simply put, this is the cleanest medical practice I have ever had a chance to visit. Dr. Kim performed nothing short of magic during my surgery. Just like the rest of the staff, Dr. Kim was extremely kind and welcoming. As we began, he told me I would feel a slight pinch when he was administering the anesthesia, and to my relief, that is all that I felt. Dr. Kim returned a few minutes later with additional tools, ready to begin extraction. He was vocal about the procedure and what was going on the entire time, and before I knew it, Dr. Kim had my first tooth wisdom tooth in his hands. A huge wave of relief hit me as I came to the realization that the removal of this tooth was truly PAINLESS. Dr. Kim continued to be vocal as he moved onto the second tooth, which was just as smooth as the first. The remainder of the visit kept the same tone as the rest of the experience. Simply put, DEIC is by far the cleanest and most professional medical practice I have ever visited. I never imagined coming out with such a positive experience, but I did. Not only will I be back, I will be recommending this establishment as well. I truly cannot thank DEIC and Dr. Kim enough. Getting over the fear of visiting the dentist wont be resolved after one visit, but I cannot see myself going anywhere else in the future. Thanks Again, Justin

The staff at Dental Excellence Integrative Center in Del Ray are amazing. Before my experiences here, I hadn't been to a more professional, friendly, and welcoming treatment center. I really applaud the way Dr. Kim and his staff treat each other and guests. It goes to show you that even in challenging times, a welcoming smile goes a long way. Felt at home there. Thanks for everyone's diligent work on my restoration!

I had an infection and the pain I had to go through was enormous. But after the treatment I felt day and night differences. DR. Janabi was exceptionally good, and I highly recommend him. He has great attention to detail, diagnoses problems well, and his work is very effective without being painful. The procedure time was longer than usual, but it was a pleasant experience. The only discomfort to my visit was having to keep my mouth open for a while.

like many, I dislike visiting the dentist, but this office is prob as good as it could be. Dr B and the staff are all attentive and caring and everything is quite modern. Have had issues with the office needing to frequently reschedule my appointments and some miscommunication about appointment scheduling.

Apparently they deleted my last review, so here goes... Good: the dentist herself is great. The technicians are also very friendly and useful Bad: it is objectively weird that you meet with their billing person to talk about treatment. He pushes unnecessary, expensive treatments harder than a timeshare salesman. I got a second opinion from a trusted dentist on the treatments recommended, and they said they were all unnecessary and would have cost thousands of dollars out of pocket. Overall: the care is good, but they will openly and aggressively try to rip you off.

I almost never write reviews, and definitely not bad ones, but this place really appalled me. I went for a dental cleaning and was told they couldn't do it without x-rays. I had x-rays done recently so didn't want to have them done again, and asked to reschedule for when I could bring them with me. They looked in my mouth so that they could 'at least get something done' and told me I had gum recession. When I left they gave me a multi-thousand dollar 'care plan' (some of which was 'optional'...but most was not). I was a bit overwhelmed because I just wanted my teeth cleaned, but okay. Proceed to get a several hundred dollar bill (not all of which insurance covered, but some) with scans and a dental exam listed on it. Calling lookin in my mouth a 'dental exam' was a big stretch, and I obviously didn't have scans done. I called and they offered to cancel the bill, but they still got some of it covered by insurance which was pretty scammy. I additionally did not feel like I was treated respectfully by the dentist. She was exasperated with me about the x-rays and let me know it. The place seemed nice upon entering, but I definitely won't go back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Scam alert ! I never been to a dentist that refuse a cleaning after you paid . I was told I need a deep cleaning . They will try to wake you other services . Do not recommend

Dr. Kim is the best. He and his staff are very attentive, detailed and helpful. I'm retired and on a fixed income. I have some insurance coverage, but not that much. I need a couple of implants and which are very expensive. Fortunately Dr. Kim does his best to work with my insurance company to access as much coverage as possible.

I just took my mom to these dentist because I could not fit here in our normal dentist. But I left these places feeling Robbed. We have health insurance by I was told the my health insurance did not cover much of our bill which was a total of 1190 for a tooth extraction and bone graft. I was told that my insurance only covered 150$ but when I reached out to my insurance only to fine out that they had billed my insurance over 2000$. So I called them to find out why and I was given a whole new bill and told that the other 1190 was for just the bone graft and that my insurance had cover everything but these. And that was what the 2000 that by insurance payed. My main point is these place keeps information from you when giving you your treatment options just to make more money these is not only a place that cost more then your average dentist but like to with help information from you to turn a bigger profit

Dr Kim & Lydee, thank you both so much for the amazing service you provided to me. Today I got my wisdom tooth out, and the process was easy. I came in nervous, and they made everything way better. Lydee is so sweet and attentive to her patients. We had some great conversations while waiting for the surgery to start. Also she is Filipino so we connected easily! Dr Kim is so professional and easy to talk too. He knows what he is doing, and has so much experience in making sure his patients are comfortable and know what the specific surgery/treatment is for. He is attentive and I truly thank you a lot for making everything easier for me. The team here are all so sweet and I love talking with you all! I am always thoroughly impressed by Dr. Kim's expertise and kindness during my appointments. He is as gentle as he is kind, a rare but highly desirable combination of attributes for dentistry. Trisha and my hygienist are worth their weight in gold. They are also extremely welcoming, warm, and perfect at knocking the edge off of what may already be an anxious situation. They truly make me smile.

Dr. Kim is a very capable professional I have come to trust over the years, 2017 to present. He resolved an ongoing problem with an implant, my first, that was implaced in 2005 where the abutment screw regularly became loose. Multiple attempts by different dentist to tighten the screw were unsuccessful. Dr. Kim recommended removing and replacing with new implant. He calmly and confidently performed the procedures with complete success. I have since had annual care and other work and I am completely confident in his knowledge and skills. I am a 72, a 35 year retired DOD Civilian and have had dental work performed across the US, in Canal Zone Panama, Mannheim Germany, and Seoul Korea. His has been the best of care. I am a big proponent of implants, the more the better, and sooner than later, dentures if you must, implants if you can. Dr. Kim is the best as are his teams at the Dental Excellence Integrative Center AND Franconia Dental Care.

I had an unfortunate incident that resulted in my right front tooth falling out. I was extremely worried and scared that I might never get my tooth replaced. I also had an important job interview coming up in the following days. Luckily, when I walked into Dental Excellence Integrative Center, Dr. Joongseo Kim and the rest of the team reassured me that everything will be taken care of by implementing a crown on my tooth and that I had nothing to worry about. They also made me feel very welcomed, understood, and comfortable. During my initial visit, Dr. Joongseo Kim examined and prepared the tooth that needed to be crowned. Next, an impression was made of my trimmed tooth and my surrounding teeth which were sent to the laboratory. After that, I received a temporary crown over my tooth. Two weeks later, I got a call from the dentist's office to come in and complete the remainder of the procedure. Dr. Joongseo Kim installed the permanent crown over my tooth. After the procedure was done, they gave me a mirror to look at the final results. When I tell you, the moment I saw myself smile again, I could not believe my eyes. My tooth looked perfect! I couldn't have been any happier seeing the results. Dr. Joongseo Kim did an incredible job replacing my tooth with a crown. He truly saved my smile and my confidence. I am extremely grateful for Dr. Joongseo Kim and the rest of the team at Dental Excellence Integrative Center. If anyone is looking to get a similar procedure or any other dental services I highly recommend Dental Excellence Integrative Center. They will treat you like family and they will take care of your needs with compassion!

Highly recommend. Dr. Kim was able to accommodate and perform an emergency extraction and implant on a short notice. Friendly staff, nice modern office and equipment, convenient location.

I am an extremely happy dental implant patient of Dr. Kim Joongseo. Dr. Kim has a rare combination of dental expertise and customer service. I was very apprehensive about the pain associated with my dental implant, but was pleasantly surprised with very minor discomfort under the skillful hands of Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim was very patient and detail-oriented explaining the procedure with phased approach and responded to all my questions. Dr. Kim assured me that I would not experience major discomfort with my implants. His friendliness and patience put me at ease to go ahead with the dental implants. There was no pain during administering the sedative before the procedure or post procedure. I did not take strong painkillers after the procedure and had no issues with bleeding or swelling. Dr. Kim gave his number to text him if I experienced any issues after my procedure and personally called me the next morning to ensure that I was doing good. I wish I had found Dr. Kim earlier which would have avoided a lot of frustrating experiences with my dental care. Thank you, Dr. Kim, for your patience, outstanding customer service with your personal follow-up and your expert treatment!

This place SCAMS you of your money. Literally do not go here. First and foremost, the dentists, hygienist and front desk are nice HOWEVER, they don't listen to you when you state that you have new insurance. My husband came in originally for a root canal on 12/30/21 which we paid $4,000 out of pocket because our insurance didn't cover that service according to them. On 12/30/21 they did not do a root canal only fillings but still sent in the claim as a root canal. As of 1/1/22 we switched insurance and continued services with them to finish the root canal that my husband originally came in for on 12/30/21 and weren't even able to do the entire root canal because of lack of experience with a type of nerve my husband had and was sent to another specialist which was completed by an outside doctor. Til this day we've been fighting with them about getting back our $4,000 for services that weren't provided. Then I found out services done in January were being sent to our old insurance which we were no longer covered by. THEY DONT LISTEN TO YOU AT ALL!! the office manager Ali is the worst manager he does not do his job. He doesn't care about customers only scamming people out of money for services not provided. Ali is never there and never calls you back. He made me call the insurance to figure out why they had not closed claims so that he could pay me the money he owes me and the insurance clearly stated that was not in fact true. Ali owes me a day worth of pay for doing his job by contacting my dental insurance when that is his job. Don't ever waste your time in coming here. Don't let the ambiance fool you !!!
