Dr. Paul N. Greico obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Loyola University Chicago and graduated from Loyola University School of Dentistry, Cum Laude, in 1989, where he was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
After dental school, Dr. Greico practiced for a number of years with his family dentists, Dr. DelMonico and Dr. Trocchio in Elmwood Park, Illinois. He was also an associate of Dr. DAmico in Elmwood Park. He then worked in Northwest Chicago for 7 years until finally opening his own practice, Dental Essence, in 2005. He has seen nothing but success there; over 3,000 patients (from even a few states away) now entrust him with their routine dental care. He is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society as well.
In the meantime, he married Maria. They have been married for over 24 years. He has three children; Nicholas, Carina, and Angelina, who all enjoy spending some of their free time working with him at the office. He loves being around family, friends, staff, and patients, reading, watching Chicago sports, coaching basketball, and traveling to new places.
In exchange for your trust, Dr. Greico strives to work tirelessly every day to guarantee your satisfaction and is prepared to bend over backward to ensure that you and your family have the perfect, healthy smile youve always wanted, for a fair price, with minimal pain or stress, and in the comfort of a relaxing, family-oriented atmosphere.
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, especially interacting with my patients and devoted staff members. Taking care of people is what makes me happy, and I try to treat all of my patients with dignity and respect. I am well aware that many of you make time in your busy schedules and great efforts to come to my office for your dental care, and I will never take that for granted. Dentistry is an art, and I take pride in all of my work. It is my sincerest hope that my patients are truly satisfied with my craft.
Dr. Patrick Brambert grew up in Bloomingdale, IL just five minutes away from Dental Essence. Afterward, Dr. Brambert attended the University of Iowa School of Dentistry where he graduated with a distinction in public health and published his research on tooth whitening and enamel erosion. He completed an externship at a special-needs clinic in Iowa and an additional externship on a Native American reservation in Cass Lake, Minnesota.
Following graduation, Dr. Brambert has practiced for several years in the Western Chicago suburbs. He is very excited to return to the neighborhood he grew up in and join the Dental Essence family. He currently lives in Winfield with his wife Jeanne, his son Jack, and their dog Nova.
Outside of private practice, Dr. Brambert also currently serves in the Army National Guard as a dentist. Getting to know people and their individual goal is the best part of practicing dentistry. It is very rewarding to meet and care for entire families. I always strive to make treatment decisions a conversation so that patients are comfortable and happy with the care they receive. I feel grateful to be in a profession where I can do my best to make others happy.
Digital x-rays are the newest technology used in dentistry to take and archive dental x-rays. Digital x-rays significantly reduce the amount of radiation exposure, as compared to traditional dental x-rays. This technique captures a digital picture of your teeth and their supporting bone structures and stores the images on our offices secure computer system. You and Dr. Greico will be able to instantly view and enlarge your x-rays to aid in the identification of dental problems and to gauge your overall dental health. Dr. Greico will then use this information to create an individualized treatment plan for you.
Taking pictures of the teeth and supporting tissue with a small video camera about the size of a pen is a wonderful addition to dentistry today. The intra-oral camera creates digital images that can be stored on a computer at Dental Essence. The images are shared with our patients so they can join with us in the co-diagnosis of problems with their dental health. We can show you how others view your smile and which fillings are broken or discolored. We look forward to showing you a dental tour of your mouth in the privacy of your treatment room.
Digital panoramic x-rays provide a broad overview of the entire mouth. These X-rays supply information about the teeth, upper and lower jawbone, sinuses, and other hard and soft tissues of the head and neck. Here at Dental Essence, we use the Planmeca ProMax 2D S3 radiograph system. It is truly state-of-the-art, continuously updated, extremely easy to use, and emits virtually no harmful radiation, meaning that dental x-rays can now be safer than ever before. It is very comfortable, especially for patients with sensitive gag reflexes, and its robotic arm automatically moves to accommodate patients of all ages.
To further our relaxing and care-free environment for our patients, there is a television screen above each chair equipped with cable, so you are able to watch your favorite program, sporting event, or even your own DVD while your smile is being perfected. This is especially good for anxious patients and children, as it provides a distraction and also a bit of entertainment in your busy day. The television screens can also be used to display your x-rays or treatment plan, so you can take a front seat in your dental treatment experience.
Rarely does a clinical tool emerge with so many possibilities for treatment as the dental diode laser. These lasers are ideal for procedures involving cutting or contouring soft tissue, which is why dental diode lasers are also known as soft tissue lasers. Diode lasers are capable of creating precision cuts in gums and other soft tissues while also eliminating bleeding at the site and reducing your healing time. Soft tissue lasers are also ideal for scaling around the gumline, sterilizing endodontic canals, treating periodontal disease, and tooth whitening. Our dental diode lasers are portable and easy to use with simple, touchscreen controls, providing you with comfort and guaranteed speed and reliability.
A cavitron is a dental tool that uses high frequency sound waves to clean teeth. These high frequency sound waves vibrate built up tartar and stain off of the surface of your teeth, and water then flushes away any excess bacteria, plaque, and other biofilms. It is a useful tool for getting your smile back to normal quicker and more comfortably than traditional hand tools.
DIAGNOdent aids in the detection of cavities (or caries). Even very small lesions and incipient caries can be detected, enabling us to better protect and preserve your teeth. The accuracy of diagnosing hidden cavities can sometimes be a challenge. Proven to be over 90% accurate in cavity detection, Your visual and radiographic evaluation can be significantly more accurate with the use of KaVos DIAGNOdent laser cavity detection aid. This means that cavities can be treated at their earliest stages to prevent more extreme tooth decay.
Here at Dental Essence, we make your health and safety a primary concern. This means that we go through great lengths to ensure that every instrument that enters your mouth is sterile and bacteria-free. To do this, we use an ultrasonic maxizyme bath to vibrate any dental materials off of the instruments. They are then scrubbed, individually bagged and placed in an autoclave or Statim, which is proven to kill off all bacteria using hot, pressurized steam. The bags are opened chairside, eliminating the potential spread of disease or bacteria from patient to patient.
