Dr. Charles A. Vogel arrived in Springfield, Missouri December 11, 1941 a bouncing baby boy who idolized his grandfather Dr. Charles B. Holt. His formative educational years were at Sunshine and Delaware Elementary schools and Jarrett Jr. High. He graduated from Parkview High School in 1959.
Drury College was his choice for undergraduate work and then onto the School of Dentistry at University of Missouri at Kansas City(UMKC). Upon graduation, he returned to Springfield to join his grandfathers dental practice located in downtown Springfields old Medical Arts Building at South Avenue and Pershing Street.As the Springfield medical community moved south so did his general dentistry practice, where for 40 years he created healthy, beautiful new smiles for his many patients.
Around age 60, he began to look for additional ways to contribute further to the community. Services were donated and continue to be to The Boys and Girls Town of Missouri and victims of Katrina. However his life changing experience came when Stacy Schultz, fundraising volunteer with Project H.O.P.E., approached him and wife Ann (also from Springfield) to join them on a dental/medical mission trip to Nicaragua. This kind of dental service reminded him of stories his grandfather had told about dentistry in the 1930s in the USA.
In Springfields News Leader, he learned of the great need here at home for dentists at the Kitchen Clinic. With surgical skills well honed from 40 years in dentistry and 1000+ extractions under primitive conditions in Nicaragua, he, Dr. David Small and Dr. Nathan Bauer cleared a 9-month waiting list at the Kitchen Clinic.
Back at his office, his brilliant and forward-thinking mind, coupled with his love for humanity and philanthropic spirit, bore the idea to create a walk-in clinic treating only dental emergencies. Thus in October 2009 the Dental E.R. was born at 222-A Primrose. The Dental E.R. is across from Kickapoo High just one block east of Campbell. Staffed by a team of highly qualified dental professionals committed to the health and well-being of each patient, they administer their emergency dental services in a comfortable, safe, highly technical and sterile dental environment.
Congratulations to Dr. Charles A. Vogel who has been nominated again by his peers as a Top Dentist in the 417 Metro Area. Dr. Vogel will be featured in the August issue of 417 Magazine. This is the eighth year for him to be honored.

1000% DO NOT RECOMMEND I just had a tooth pulled from here, and I wouldn't even give them 1star, but you have to. The dental assistant, and doctor were INCREDIBLY RUDE, and acted as if I was beneath them. Correct me if I'm wrong but, are you not supposed to voice your concern about the issue you are having with ANY medical professional?? Are you not supposed to voice your concern, and try and understand/ get an explanation of ANY procedure, with ANY medical professional?? When I did that, I get a response of hatefulness, disregard for the questions I had, and just plain RUDE!! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE, UNLESS YOU WANT TREATED LIKE A DOG!! TO THE DOCTOR, AND DENTAL ASSISTANT, IF YOUR HAVING A BAD DAY DONT TAKE IT OUT ON THE PEOPLE PAYING YOUR BILLS!! GROW UP AND BE PROFESSIONALS!! GOD BLESS! hopefully the work you done was correct. But I am doubting that!

My husband has been having issues with his teeth it's getting bad and the staff was rude and demanding payment up front so I don't recommend we are struggling and He's a US ARMY VET unfortunately that doesn't receive dental insurance so love the rudeness and lack of care he's being faced with. Also there's no way to really get information from this place unless you go in unfortunately they aren't truly in the business of helping people that are in need. And their idea of low cost isn't set for suitable means of income for most definitely won't ever waste our time here what snobs

Called at 9 while I was on my way there. Got there around 9:40 and by 9:50 I was sitting in the room talking to a very sweet lady about my tooth pain. They immediately numbed me, and by 10:30 I was out of there with no more aching tooth. The doctor was very kind and straight to the point. Super efficient, super nice. And the place was very clean. If I need assistance quickly again I will for sure make the 45 minute drive to Springfield again.

Very kind staff and dentist! Actually felt like they truly cared that I was in pain and truly wanted to help me. I got two teeth pulled it was quick and practically painless especially compared to the pain I was experiencing. Thank you so much! Highly recommend to anyone! These people are wonderful!

I was very nervous going to get a tooth taken out. Thankfully I went to this place. The doc definitely mad it painless. It wasn't pressureless but it was painless. Which is obvious. Super fast and simple. I was in and out. Had a great experience with this place.

I have no insurance, and this tooth has been bothering me off and on for months. I finally could not take it anymore, and found this place online and drove from Branson. The entire place is geared towards getting you in and getting your pain to stop FAST!!! The registration process was streamlined on a computer, so it can be done in about 2 minutes or less. Then they immediately pulled me back, gave me a much needed shot of numbing relief, and got my molar out QUICKLY AND PAINLESSLY. The entire procedure was done in about 10 minutes, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who NEEDS THEIR TOOTH OUT NOW!!!! The dentist was very good, you could tell he was an expert in his field, and I will be reccomending DENTAL ER to people here in Branson.

I am so grateful to have found Dental E.R. I called too late in the afternoon to be seen the same day, but I was one of their 1st appointments the next morning st 9:30am! They were extremely empathetic to my phobia and helped me though it with perfect compassion. They took care of my problem that I was experiencing and showed me some other things to watch out for in the future. Thank you so very much Dental E.R team!!

They staff was Slapin'... I was in pain, swelling up, They immediately steped up when other offices did nothing. The Dr. Addressed my wellness , Was fast to the point. completely satisfied... if your in pain and need action now .... call now.

My son needed a tooth extracted and this place has walk-ins welcome. He got right in and was well cared for. They don't take insurance, so keep that in mind before you go. Great people.

The best dentist and team you could ask for. I've always had a lot of anxiety and they do everything they can to ease your mind. Everyone that works there genuinely care about people and that is worth so much to me. Like anywhere yes they need and got to make money but they care more about taking care of you, and you can really tell. They what to get you out of pain and feeling better asap. They never judge and always give it to you straight. All while being extremely kind and thoughtful. I'll be sad when you retire sir but when you do I hope all the best for you. i went in Monday after spending the weekend stressed about jaw pain and my dental health. I knew I had an infection so when I showed up Monday they got me a script for antibiotics and scheduled me for 1030 the next day to have X-rays. i thought I had an infection from my wisdom teeth but it ended up being a different tooth. they let me know my options, I decided to go with extraction and when I tell you I have never had a dentist get me as numb as they did ever! And I have had 18+ cavities filled in my life as well as 2 other extractions where I had much more feeling while having them done. They were very informative about after care and were super helpful through the whole experience. Compared to the quotes I got from other places w/o insurance for extraction they were a very quick and cheap option. very thankful they provide the services they do.

This clinic is the best I've EVER been to wish they did all kinds of dental work so I could always go there the staff was so polite and very helpful with my anxiety they made me feel safe and very welcomed and the DR was absolutely nice and not harsh at all I give them 10 stars

This is such a great affordable place to get dental work done. Codi at the front desk is such a sweetheart she was so nice and doctor Wheeler and his assistant is amazing as well! We will be using them for any dental emergency! Great and friendly staff!

I went in with a gnarly rotten tooth today. Everyone was super cool and friendly. The dentist pulled my bad tooth and everything was done in under one hour. They are awesome.

Very good ...had an infected tooth and got in the next day relatively early and was in and out in about an hour or so.
