A 1977 graduate of Southern Illinois University, Dr. Kris Tumilowicz has practiced dentistry in Northern Illinois for over 45 years. Dr. T. received post-graduate training from The Misch Implant Institute and Anesthesia training from The University of Illinois. He is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and a Diplomate in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Emphasizing Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry, Dr. Tumilowicz also completed the Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry program through the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies. He is an active member of The American Dental Association, The Illinois State Dental Society, and The Winnebago County Dental Society. Dr. Tumilowicz is also active in our community. He served as President of The Rotary Club of Loves Park and The Cosmopolitan Club of Rockford. He is an active parish member at The Cathedral of St. Peter, where he is also a cantor and choir member. Dr. T and his sons are Eagle Scouts, and he is a board member of The Blackhawk Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. He has been the team dentist for various local professional teams, including The Rockford IceHogs and The Rockford Rivets. He and his wife Patti have made Rockford their home since 1980, and have three adult children and threegrandchildren.
