Dr. Kai Weng DDS, FICOI is a Perry Hall resident of nearly 15 years, and a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. After graduating, Dr. Weng worked several years in private practice while furthering his clinical education through renowned institutes including Spear Education, Live Implant Academy, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, AIC Implant Research, Aligntech, and more. Through these years Dr. Weng has gained a reputation for delivering high quality dentistry with a caring and compassion demeanor. With Dental Designs of Maryland, it is Dr. Wengs hope that he can play a vital role in the community as a healthcare leader, serving to improve the lives of the greater Baltimore area through both dental care as well as community involvement.
Dr. Weng is licensed by the Dental Board of Maryland. He believes that Continuing Education is the key to improving both professional development and patient care, and regularly attends classes to stay up-to-date with the latest dental techniques and research.
Dr. Nina-Cecilia Santos DDS, MS is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and as a native of Perry Hall, is honored to be serving the community she calls home. Dr. Santos has had a lifelong passion for dentistry, having worked as a dental assistant after college for four years prior to attending dental school for her doctorate. As somebody who knows both sides of the profession and having deep roots in the Baltimore community, Dr. Santos is uniquely positioned to provide quality dental care with the highest level of compassion and a light touch that our patients love.
Dr. Santos offers a diverse range of dental services and specializes in cosmetic dentistry including porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns, laser gum treatments, and Invisalign orthodontic treatment. She also is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of orofacial pain and sleep apnea treatment. She actively pursues specialized education through Gordon Christensen, Dawson Academy, Aligntech, and more. It is her goal to provide cutting edge dental care and give each of her patients the beautiful smile of their dreams.

I've been a patient for three years now, and I'm so pleased with the staff and doctors. The front desk is so kind and efficient. The dental assistants and hygienists have all been friendly and do their work quickly and skillfully. Dr. Levine did a small filling for me and it was such a breeze. The office is always spotless, so I really love coming here, which is weird to say about a dentist!

All the staff was amazing. I'm very terrified of dentists because of my childhood experiences but from the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted and made to feel like I was in good hands. My exam went well and I have to return for some additional care but I'm sure that will also go well.

I used to hate going to the dentist. I would try avoid it and just go when I had to. This dentist office has changed how I felt. I see Dr Weng. He is very nice and explains everything he is doing. He makes sure you are comfortable with everything. The hygienist I had twice is very sweet (Maria) I think is her name. From the minute you walk in until you leave you are well taken care of from the receptionists to the check out. You won't regret using them!

Dr. Santos and her team are amazing! Their responsiveness, professionalism and friendliness is outstanding! I know going to the dentist is probably not the best place everyone wants to go to, but Dr. Santos and her team makes you feel comfortable and at ease with the whole process.

I normally am skeptical of a business with THIS many 5 star reviews. I usually assume the reviews are largely fake. But in this case, they are 100% spot on. I came for an emergency visit, and this was my first time coming here. The first thing the office did was introduce me to everyone. Literally gave me a tour of the office, introduced everyone by name and what their job was at the office (and there are a lot of people), and showed me their various lab equipment and workspaces. The office is probably the most high tech office I've ever seen. I was very impressed with these folks before I even got to the chair. The staff was very knowledgeable about my situation and had impeccable "chairside" manners. They were quick and efficient with the x-rays and then showed me what my issue was and gave me multiple options for a care plan. There was absolutely not an ounce of pressure to go with any particular choice. The dentist was very careful to inform me of my options but not try to sell me anything. And he also talked in detail with me as I explored each option. My procedure was removing what proved to be a very difficult tooth. The doctor did an amazing job. He was encouraging and empathetic throughout the entire procedure, and he was very clear with what I would experience and what his instructions were for me. He did an amazing job fixing my issue. But I have to take a moment to talk about Ms Sandy who was assisting him with the procedure. If there was an awards show for dentists offices (I don't know, like the Toothies or something), Ms Sandy would get the award for...she'd get a bunch of awards. She did her best to make sure I was comfortable, that my paperwork was correct, and even kept the atmosphere light for what would normally be a very nerve wracking procedure. But the shining thing that stood out to me was her consideration and compassion. She was scheduled to be off work 30 minutes after my appointment started. However because she knew how much work I had to do to make this appointment time work, when it was decided that my tooth needed to come out, she stayed late at work (on a Friday) just to help the doctor with my procedure. She did this both out of consideration for me and out of consideration for her fellow employees who would have had to come in and take over for her. Even the dentist told her she could go home (it's clear that this business cares about its employees as well), but she was determined to stay until my procedure was finished (not a short procedure let me tell you). This is a level of care that you cannot put a price on. You cannot find it just anywhere. She is the type of person that you can't find just anywhere. And when you do, you stick around them. Dental Designs is the type of practice that you're willing to drive out of your way to get to. This will be the practice that I will bring my family to. And I hope you'll bring yours as well.

Dr. Santos is the best, she is so upbeat, friendly and knowledgeable. I've been going to dental designs for a few years now and have had a fair amount of work done. Every experience that I have had at Dental Designs has been fantastic from the receptionists to the Hygenists and even the Dental Assistant's. My only complaint is that appointment wait times for cleanings are pretty far out but the wait is worth it imho.
