Achieving excellence consistently requires dedication. Dr. Marie Alejandrino-Buell has over 28 years experience in providing state-of-the-art dental care. She is committed to keeping pace with the exciting new changes in dentistry today by raising patient awareness while providing the highest standard of care possible in a warm and caring environment.
Dr. Marie Alejandrino-Buell is committed to community service. After completing her dental degree in 1992, she interned as a volunteer at the St. Martin de Porres Charity Hospital, the birthplace of Operation Smile International. It was there that she first trained in providing comprehensive care to the underpriviledged. She worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team that provided care to people with facial deformities.
After moving to the United States, she completed the DECOD Program, a Post-doctoral Fellowship at the University of Washington, a program that focused on providing care for persons with disabilities. It was this love for people who were unable to receive care due to physical, mental and psychological issues that led her to pursue a relationship with the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS). This has allowed her to provide care to people who are afraid of coming to the dentist. Dr. Marie Alejandrino-Buell is one of the few dentists in California and the US who have a permit to provide Adult Oral Conscious Sedation in an office setting.
Dr. Marie Alejandrino-Buell actively participates in advanced continuing dental education programs which provides you with the most recent technology and procedures in dentistry. She has participated in the Mastership Series at the Newport Coast Oral-Facial Institute, one of the leading training and research centers dedicated to mastering the use of the clinical microscope for all disciplines of dentistry. She has also participated in the PAC-live Aesthetic Continuum founded by Dr. William Dorfman of TV's Extreme Makeover fame.
Prior to opening Dental Designs in Oxnard, Dr. Marie Alejandrino-Buell ran a successful practice in La Jolla, California. Moving to Ventura County allowed her to be closer to her family. Together with her husband, Todd, they are raising two beautiful boys.

Great and friendly staff but they won't help you if you have problems with your teeth. Then will try to convince you that you need products or services that you don't need or want. Make sure you do your homework.

I've been going to this Dental Design for several years. The service is great and Dr. Alejandrino-Buell is very nice. The office staff is very professional, friendly, and caring.

A really talented and kind Dentist, I highly recommend ! I am very happy with the results with our fast braces, and it has only been about a month! Dr. Buell is so thorough, and really takes her time explaining the procedure so I felt very comfortable. I can not say enough nice things about my overall experience. Great office staff also :-)

I was welcome very friendly I was given a small tour to let me know and get a feel of the dentist office the primary dentist she was great very understanding reassuring and most of all like very supportive I see really really makes you feel welcome and really makes you just relax during this whole process of you know getting things done which most people don't I mean I was scared but she made me feel so welcome there so thank you so much

Dr. Marie & her team are awesome. As soon as I arrived, they checked my temperature & everyone on their team seemed serious about protecting their lives and mine while maintaining a friendly atmosphere. I appreciate that they are open and still trying to see customers while protecting their team. My check up was wonderful (no cavities!) and Olga showed me how to brush my teeth gently, like literally putting a toothbrush in my mouth & letting me feel how a thorough brushing should feel like. (At other dental offices, I was just told I brush my teeth too hard but was never shown how to execute it gently.) I definitely recommend this team!!

Dr. Alejandrino-Buell is an amazing professional, and runs a very warm and professional office. She is extremely well versed as a clinical expert and also as a very warm and caring person who can put you at ease. She can answer any question raised with clear, understandable, and accurate detail. Her staff members are equally lovely people, all very warm and caring. The entire ambience puts you at ease. I am very impressed with Dr. Alejandrino-Buell's dedication to training her staff members, providing opportunities to develop career paths. I am also impressed with how well each staff member remembers patients -- you can tell when someone walks in the door, they are greeted as friends. I highly recommend Dr. Alejandrino-Buell for dental care.

Thank you for making me feel like I'm at home! I love the positive attitude the staff has. Dr was able to accommodate me before they open. She explains everything before she starts working on your teeth. If I can give them 10 stars I would. I never thought I would look forward to my next dental appointment.
