A graduate of Luther College, Dr. Scott Quandt also attended Marquette University Dental School, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Hes earned the title of Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and is one of the few dentists who have studied at the Las Vegas Institute, the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum, and the L.D. Pankey Institute. Hes a dedicated life-long learner who has devoted thousands of hours to continuing education and mentors dentists through other dental organizations. Dr. Quandt is passionate about cosmetic and implant dentistry and keeping up with the latest in dental medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Quandt has two sons, a grandson, and is immensely proud of his family. He is a big fan of fly-fishing, and spends his free time stalking trout in south-west Wisconsin and south-east Minnesota.

At Dental Designs, we are focused on providing patients with the latest, most effective dental technology. Our dedication to continuing education ensures that were making the most of our technology by implementing the latest advances. That also means that we make better use of your time while decreasing or eliminating discomfort during your visit. One of the ways we do this is by using lasers, which eliminate the discomfort that can be experienced from using a drill.
This software was developed to plan fast, safe, and precise implant insertions. It uses a patients CT scan to generate a three-dimensional model which is used to generate a surgical guide. It also includes any necessary bone grafting so there is no guess work resulting in aesthetically pleasing, natural looking teeth, greater functionality, and precise placement, all of which results in longer-lasting implants.
Identifying and filling cavities is one of the most important services Dental Designs provides. Given enough time, any spot of decay can threaten a tooths integrity. That makes detection key to preventing problems. Our advanced imaging technology uses a handheld wand and fluorescence to capture radar-like images of teeth. Our toolset allows us to find smaller areas of decay and decay that is hidden between teeth and fillings. This tool allows us to detect decay early and provide shallower, simpler fillings that preserves more of your natural tooth structure.
A Panorex image is a panoramic x-ray of your mouth. This image helps the dentist understand the relationship between your teeth, jaws, and how your top and bottom teeth fit together (also known as your bite or occlusion). When planning restorative or cosmetic dentistry, a Panorex may be necessary in addition to intra and extra-oral photos and imaging.
Laser dentistry uses a focused beam of light to perform various dental operations, including removing tooth decay, treating gum disease, removing growths, and more. Laser treatments are less invasive, and provide an experience that is less traumatic and painful than treatments that use dental drills. It also helps reduce the need for anesthetic. At Dental Designs, we have soft and hard-tissue lasers to treat gums, teeth, and bone. Laser dentistry is often quicker, easier, and less painful, making your visit shorter and more enjoyable and your recovery time quicker.
With patient comfort being one of Dental Designs primary concerns, we are proud to have integrated the Wand anesthesia delivery into our practice. This delivery system is a more effective method because it manages the flow and volume of anesthesia being delivered, preventing over or under-concentration. The Wand, through which the regulated anesthesia flows, does not look or feel like a syringe. A drop of topical numbing agent first numbs the injection site, then the needle creates a comfortable injection pathway. This method helps relive anxiety before treatment, regulate medication to keep patients comfortable during treatment, and allows them to quickly return to normal activity after their treatment is complete.
The team at Dental Designs is trained to use TENS & K7 technology that allows us to provide neuromuscular therapies that can alleviate a long list of chronic symptoms, including migraines, crowded and loose teeth, clenching, grinding, wear and notches at the gum line, and much more. To determine if youre a good candidate for neuromuscular dentistry, we use a TENS (transcutaneous electrical neural stimulation) Unit, which delivers small impulses to the muscles responsible for jaw movement. After the TENS unit relaxes your jaw to its ideal position, we can then use our computerized mandibular scanning unit, which records the proper alignment of the jaw and creates digital models of the teeth. Using these models, we can determine if the jaw joint is damages, and to what extent. We then use this information to determine a treatment plan.
Using digital radiography, we can clearly identify all external and internal anatomical structures and make more accurate diagnoses. Using a tiny sensor that emits 90% less radiation than traditional x-rays, we immediately see a detailed image of your internal oral structures. These images store easily, can be color-coded, and make accurate reproductions indefinitely. Additionally, they dont require the use of harsh chemicals to process, which is both better for the environment and means no processing time so your visit is quicker.
At Dental Design, our dentists and hygienists can quickly and painlessly screen for oral cancer using ViziLite. This identification and marking system detects tissue abnormalities and is used in combination with visual exams. Annual screenings can catch oral cancer in its early stages, which increases the chance of curing the disease to 80-90%.

Very disappointed with people that just like to make money but not help you out . They told you what you like to hear and then your bill cone and they explain that you have to pay even they assure you a day before it is all covered by your insurance !!! There is other ways to make money ... not laying to people !!! Don't go there .

I had a dental appointment on March 18 to have fillings. It was the most awesome dental experience I have ever had. No shots and was done with a laser instead of a drill and I had no pain. With the fillings that were put in I could go home and eat right away. Also want to mention how profession all the staff was and Dr. Scott Quandt. Also everything was thoroughly explained every step of the way. If your looking for a dentist i strongly recommend Dental Designs By Quandt.

I was searching for an alternative to CPAP therapy and found Dr. Quandt online. I got the Somnodent sleep apnea appliance and the first night I noticed a difference! I used an app to track my apnea/snoring from the beginning, prior to treatment, and I went from over 100 episodes per night to 1!! YES!! 1! I am so pleased not only with the appliance, but the staff and Dr. Quandt. Professional, quality practice. I'd be happy to answer any questions regarding the Somnodent appliance. Its changing my life!

I had switched to this dental office recently. I just love it. The staff is very friendly and Dr Quandt stays up to date with all the latest technology. Also all the staff have been employed there for a long time which I see as a sign of a great employer which equals happy employees. Happy employees are the best advertising ever.

Scott and his entire team are friendly, professional and caring. Each time I go for my cleanings I see Margaret and she's amazing! Both her and Scott remember everything regarding my dental history and even my personal life. Strongly recommend checking them out if you are looking for a new dentist.

Needed a crown. Dr Quandt put on a temporary. "crown" that i had for 2 weeks. I immediately experienced pain with temporary crown but was assured that there would be no problems with the permenant crown. Experienced PAIN immediately with new cown. Contacted office. No response. Sent certified letter, no response. Went to another local dentist who said that the reason i was experiencing pain was because the new crown was leaking....since this pain occurred on day 1 of new crown, i have to think quandt messed up big time. Quant`s bill for this was over $1000 and it cost me another $1000 to have it done correctly. There have been no problems with the new crown that the other dentist put on. Nobodys perfect, we all make mistakes but Quandt didnt have the decency to own up to his mistakes and to make things right. I'll never go back, nor would i recommend him for any dental procedure.

I have been a patient of Dr. Quandt and his team for over 15 years and I am remiss for not having written sooner! I have never been more confident in a Doctor's expertise and abilities than Dr. Quandt. He and his staff are genuinely kind and compassionate. When you add up to the minute technology and years of experience you have the best dentist practice in the area!!

Dr. Quandt helped me after a really bad experience with another local dental practice. He was upfront and honest about the work that needed to be done to repair the issue and was by far the most professional and compassionate of any other dentists I consulted with. His practice is state of the art and he is a true artist with the vision and capabilities to help you achieve your best smile and to do it right. His staff is great and the office is so nice. I would have expected that the cost would be higher for all these amenities and technology, but was actually considerably less than other area practices. Now that I am a patient there, I won't ever be leaving. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

Dr. Quandt and all the staff at Dental Designs by Quandt are awesome! They are extremely polite and courteous. I have had trouble with my teeth my whole life and dreaded every trip to the dentist until my most recent visit with Dr. Quandt. I had to get a tooth filled and he used the "laser" on me for the first time. I was in and out of the dentist office in 20 minutes. I've had a root canal and replaced two fillings with the Doctor and his team. They are incredibly sensitive and want your experience to be positive. I had absolutely no pain with any procedure and after the horror stories I've heard about root canals at other offices, I was nervous for sure. But they made it a calm procedure. The hygienists are wonderful and have extra patience for our 4 year old son. I would highly recommend this office for their professionalism and empathy. Also they have dark chocolate treats :)
