Dr. Hansen grew up in the Chicago area, IL. He earned his bachelors degree at Purdue University, before achieving his doctorate at Loyola University School of Dentistry. After graduating, he worked as an Associate part-time and opened his first office. Within a few years, he had expanded to five dental practices. He has been a Rockford dentist for more than 25 years. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Winnebago County Dental Society, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and trained in oral conscious sedation.

By far the worst customer service I have ever recieved at a dental office. Dr. Hanson seemed like a decent fellow, but his reception staff and dental assistants we're very unproffesional and unable to explain to me all the steps needed to complete the process. I had agreed to have a broken tooth pulled and fillings replaced while under anathesia, however, the scheduling process and steps to get the procedures done in a timely manner were never presented to me in a way that was not confusing and at times seemed contradictory to what the initial plan was. They scheduled and cancelled two appointments, then called to tell me Dr. Hanson was not willing to work with me. I can only assume it is because I utilize a medicaid insurance plan that chose not reimburse him for unnessasary procedures that he wanted to bill them for. I would have gladly payed cash just to get it done, but this is evidentally not an option. There are only a few options for people on medicaid dental insurance in the greater Rockford region, do yourself a favor and skip Dental Designers.

BEWARE! Of hidden "management fee's" not discussed prior to care received. The fee was $1200 and could not explained other than to manage care. This is AFTER services were covered by insurance, and out of pocket.

After two different dental appointments, my husband, who has insurance that this office said they accepted, was asked to pay more than $400 on a couple of separate occasions just to get his teeth cleaned. This business created "required" services we have never heard of before. They wanted to charge almost $100 to have his gums tested, another few hundred dollars to have his mouth rinsed, and even more money to finally do a cleaning. Please beware! This is one of the most unethical dental businesses we have ever encountered. They are quite literally robbing people.

Absolutely recommend, all the staff were beyond friendly and amazing with children. I was nervous going in knowing my toddler cries at the dentist and they made him so calm and welcoming. Fantastic dentist!

I have been seeing dr. Hansen sence I was 17 he has amazing staff..and if you have anxiety like i do i highly recommend you getting the nitrous..note i never felt a thing and he fixed a toot that was un reparabul just give it a shot...amazing A+++

I took my daughter here and they rushed through the xrays and the cleaning. They informed me she needed sealants and a possible root canal and told me I had to pay $400 before I could even make an appointment to get the work done. I made the deposit under the impression if the work didn't get done I would get my money back. Her appointment was at 6pm on a Thursday I called them back at 930am the next morning (Friday) to inform them I would like to cancel the appointment and receive a refund due to me getting her an appointment at UIC. They stated they don't do refunds I signed a paper that says no refunds. I said that is a compete lie I have the paperwork where does it say that. The receptionist said oh it doesn't say that hold on please then came back and said well we don't do refunds sorry even though it didn't say that on the paperwork and they aren't performing any work and I called early enough to allow someone else to take that spot if they needed to since we were the last patient before closing Thursday and I called when they opened on Friday. They are complete crooks. I got a second opinion and my daughter doesn't need sealants she needs fillings. They want you to pay your money then have to come back and pay more. They aren't in the best interest of you or your children. I spoke with the office manager Tony that apologized and said my refund would be on my card in 7-10 days and it's been 3 months and now Tony isn't with them anymore and the head dentist won't take any calls. DONT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!! Money hungry crooks!!!

Unprofessional. Failed to inform us of their new location. Next visit with other children was informed that I couldn't go in with my 6 and 10 year old. Mind you, I have always gone in with them with this dentist. I said I will go in with them. Dentist came out and said that if 6 year old couldn't go without me (she has anxiety since her eye surgery) then she would have to wait till she was grown up. Then asked me if this was why I homeschooled. At this point I decided to leave and find a new dentist. Don't need to be insulted

I went to another dentist where they told me I needed multiple root canals and after I would have to get approved for crowns.... Scary. Dental designers though did all the work no root canals. I didn't feel a thing!!! I also got all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled and I'm 34.... My face did not swell up and I had 0 dry socket and I'm a regular smoker. Staff is very friendly and kind. I didn't feel judged at all here, which really helped with my anxiety about getting the work done. I would say it's a game changer, but it's more than that... literally a life changer. I would recommend Dr. Hanson and his professional staff to friends and family without hesitation. That being said this has been the best dental exp of my life. I'm extremely happy with what they achieved!!!! Hands down 100\10!!!

Dr. Hansen is dishonest and money hungry. Robbed me and my insurance company for thousands of dollars. Ruined my teeth!!!! He is very deceitful! You are taking a HUGE risk by going to this dentist unless you need a simple cleaning or filling. Think twice and read his reviews carefully!! He pays for fake good reviews.
