Dr Tracy E. Blount (formerly Mathis) was born in Grand Rapids, MI. She graduated from Creston High School. She attended the University of Michigan and received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree May 1991.
Dr Blount has a fee for service practice on the Southeast side of Grand Rapids. Her practice is General Dentistry with heavy emphasis on Periodontal Disease and Cosmetic Dentistry. The Dr. Blount and Staff, are God oriented; working to fulfill His purpose in their lives.
Dr Blount previously served on the Dental Advisory Committee at the Grand Rapids Community College, where she also worked as a Clinical Instructor in the Dental Hygiene Department for 3yrs. Formerly Dr Blount has served on the board of the Salvation Army, Cherry Street Health Services, Adult Dental Services, and Southeast Economic Development (SEED). She has also volunteered in the dental clinic at Cherry Street Health Services and Baxter Community Center.

It was my first visit and I was extremely impressed with the customer service! The hygienist was very thorough in the exam, they explained every step to me, I watched videos on various dental procedures and how to remedy the issue, and they gave me a blanket during the exam because I was cold. Excellent service!

Since it is important to take care of your dental health, Dental Design is the place to get that care. The office staff are thoughtful and efficient. Dr. Blount is an excellent practitioner. She explains your treatment plan clearly. She performs procedures with skill and as little discomfort as possible. I enthusiastically recommend this practice.

I had a VERY extended time of not seeing a dentist. I was nervous, ashamed, just not looking forward to this process at all. I sat down and immediately told my hygienist that I was pretty anxious and she was awesome. She and Dr. Blount explained every process to me, they were kind, non judgmental, just very encouraging.
