Dr. Chopra earned her dental degree from Howard University in Washington, DC in 2005. She then completed an intensive residency in AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) from Lutheran Medical Center, currently NYU Langone Dental Medicine, in Casa Grande, Arizona. After completing her training she moved to New York City where she was in private practice for 10 years at one of Manhattan's premier dental offices.
She moved back to Maryland in 2017 to raise her family and start a new practice. Her office is located where her father once provided medical services as a family practice physician to the residents of Wheaton and Montgomery County for over 30 years. She is continuing her father's legacy of healthcare in the community while creating one of her own. She not only brings her Big Apple experience to her practice, but also her passion to get to know her patients in a comfortable environment- to create a long lasting relationship built on trust and excellent care.
Dr. Chopra is a proud member of the American Dental Association and the Virginia Dental Association. A proponent of technology and always keeping her practice forward thinking, Dr Chopra is an active member of Spear, a world-renowned continuing education program dedicated to implementing the latest techniques and advancements in dentistry. She is also a new member of the MDIB (Mommy Dentist in Business), a nationwide group of female dentists who are business owners and mothers raising their families. The camaraderie with other female dentists in the profession is of one she is most proud.
When she is not attending to her patients, Dr Chopra can be found with her husband and three beautiful children. She loves traveling, international cuisine, gardening, and attending live music events.
After ten years in private practice at one of Manhattans premier dental offices, Dr. Shri Chopra returned to Maryland in 2017 and opened Dental Design of Wheaton in August 2019. Her office is located in the building where her fathers family medicine practice cared for patients for over 30 years. She is proud to continue her fathers legacy of delivering exemplary healthcare in the community while creating her own.

Update 4/16/22 I had an appointment cancelled a week before rescheduled a new one and day of I called to double check as never received a confirmation so sorry not in system okay bad on me, rescheduled and this time asked for a confirmation that it's a system that will send day before did receive one called in this morning sorry your not in the system for appointment that you must of talked to a system no I talked to a person. Apparently trying to keep clients in the office is not as important will let all my family and friends whom I recommended to save themselves and beware to others will be looking for a new dentist Old review 2020 A new patient with Dr. Chopra, very nice, professional and educational. She took her time to show my areas of needs and explain things to me. She would take pictures and then showed your teeth on the tv in front of you to explain things. I was impressed with how clean, and welcoming the space is. Her staff were very nice and so courteous! Susana went above and beyond as prior to going she asked about form you fill which was very simple and straight forward about my insurance she was patient as I had wrong insurance on there to make sure I was covered. The area is very close and convenient. Parking is right in front. During this covid time I saw I was only person scheduled and felt very safe. Look forward to making this my new dentist as my old one retired.

Dr. Chopra is my dentist for more than two years. She is very gently and caring person. I knew when I found her that I will ber her patient for life at least when I turn 100 years old in 25 years. I hope that Dr.Chopra practices that long. I know who is a good dentist since my wife was my dentist for 38 years. I will recommend Dr. Chopra to every person who needs a good dentist. Hands down to the best clinic in the DMV area. I've personally been to many Dental clinics and for sure this is one of the best clinics when it comes to communicating with their patients . They explain everything with detail and provide the best option when it comes to your dental care . Not to mention that their staff are always welcoming and their clinic overall is clean/neat.

Dr Chopra is amazing! Very kind, gentle, swift, and awesome! The forms were available to fill out online before arrival, which is a huge help. Dr Chopra actually read everything before I got there, which is such a relief. I felt like she truly cared about my health. Her front desk staff was nice and helpful and got me scheduled right away. Her assistant was also amazing! Close to home and takes my insurance and such a great quality of care! Highly recommend!!!
