My daughter is severely autistic making most "normal" activities a bit more challenging for us/her. We took a chance on Dental Derby after moving here in 2020. This place has been absolutely, positively amazing. They have welcomed my family with open arms despite how difficult our appointments have been. Just to get our daughters teeth cleaned, my husband and I both have to help hold her while the dentist and hygienist risk getting bitten while cleaning her teeth. We've experienced a lot of things on this journey and appreciate kindness along the way. Dental Derby has made our entire dental experience for our children much more tolerable. Our neurotypical child and our special needs child are both seen and taken care of in a way that is equitable to them both. If you're looking for a beautiful, clean and inclusive facility, Dental Derby is amazing! I wish I could remember the dentist (female) so I could give her a shoutout bc she has more patience than most! From our family, thank you so much!

We took our 10 month old in for his first Dentist visit. Everyone at the office was great and super welcoming. Dr. Kim was great and patient with our little one, who surprisingly did really well with the check up. Can't wait to come back for our 6 month cleaning. Thank you!!

I took my 2 yr old son to Dental Derby today. Dr. Cangas got upset that my son was crying and told him "I'm not done until you're done, you need to stop crying" "shut your mouth" "be quiet" while trying to force my sons mouth shut and when I intervened and tried lifting my son off his lap, he tried to stop me. He basically told me that I shouldn't give in to my son crying for me cause he would just learn that if he cries loud enough then he doesn't have to go through with getting his teeth cleaned. I didn't hear the rest of what he said cause I was focused on consoling my screaming child. I was so confused and shocked in the moment that I just wanted to get us out of the situation and I wish I would've reacted differently and stood up more for my baby. This happened almost two hours ago and my son still isn't acting like himself and he won't leave my side. Cangas is extremely unprofessional and completely goes against his practice's mission of creating "a fun and welcoming environment where children and parents feel comfortable"

We drove over a hour for a sedation visit and it was definitely worth it. Dr.Cangas and Dr.Ross were so professional and nice. The office staff was also great!! Dr.Cangas also followed up with us after hours to make sure our little one was doing ok after his extensive work that was done. We will definitely made the right choice choosing Dental Derby.

Took our son for his first dentist appointment yesterday. The staff is absolutely phenomenal! Kristin and Kaylee were so helpful. Dr. Cangas Was very patient with our 2 year old! Highly recommend!

Had my sons first dental visit a couple weeks ago and found out he had a lip and tongue tie .. they were amazing at getting everything done quickly and professionally. Dr. Cangas and Blair were so informative and their professionalism kept me at ease during the procedure. I would 100% recommend them to anyone!

GREAT STAFF. my 9 yr old son had anexity issues but the staff was fantastic working with my son. Though we still have work to do everyone was patient t, understanding and professional. THANK YOU- Dental Derby !!!

Dr. Cangus is a fantastic person and wonderful pediatric dentist. From the moment he introduced himself to my daughter and I, and throughout my young toddler's first appointment, he gave off a calm and friendly demeanor that made us feel at ease. During caring for my child's teeth he knowledgeably explained certain implications in my daughter's oral health in easy to understand and relatable ways so that we can best care for her at home as well. I was so grateful Dr. Cangus and Dental Derby was everything great I had heard about and so much more! Seriously, everyone should take their children! Thank you, thank you, we look forward to our next visit!

My initial experience was good when I only had my son going to the office about three years ago. Not sure what changed. Not sure if it's Covid or they have a staff change. More and more rules. Siblings are not allow in the treatment room (not sure the reason could be a safety thing but don't know). Their appointment system sucked so I had to opt out text message for appointment reminder because at one point I was getting two different texts to remind me of my kids appointment with different time and date!!!! I called to ask to fix it they couldn't figure out what the problem is (WHAT???) that's just mind blowing to me. I used to work at a doctor's office you will know everything in the office you use. Then it's their phone. You need to call to check in due to Covid. Cool. But their phone is alway always busy!!! Like a business didn't have a call waiting service? I don't get it. Just signed another form to inform me that if I don't call to cancel my appointment it's $50. If I use their service after hours ie emergency it's $150 more. Maybe because I used to work at a doctors office I expect more out of a service I received I don't know. But it's really not for me. I get upset almost every time go in to their office now. There's always something. Yes it's cool they cater their decorating, their derby dollar for kids but I can go without those things but just a better customer service and better organization.

We have literally been to dentists all over the country, as we move a lot for work. This is hands down the least professional dentist we have ever seen. He is smooth talking and condescending and every single parent who I've ever talked to that goes there (even the ones who LOVE him) seems to have a kid who needs dental work that other dentists don't recommend but is expensive. He recommended some things to us and everything was a lecture. Even x rays, which I told him that every other dentist we had ever seen agreed was unnecessary on a 3.5 year old and he lectured me that I wasn't letting him do his job fully. It was all I could do to finish the appointment bc I literally knew he was just making up a list of things (expenses) he could recommend for my child. Not only has no other dentist ever recommended half the things he does for kids, but when I've asked other dentists about some of the things he said and they were shocked. He said my son had a major cross bite at 3.5 and would "have Michael Strahan teeth" as a grown up and he would definitely need orthodontic work early and probably again later. We said he had a severe lip and tongue tie. Guess what? He doesn't. And 3 subsequent dentists were all baffled by this. And his grown up teeth? He's outgrown the cross bite and there's no front gap. He presents himself as an expert and while I will agree he puts kids at ease and the theme of his office is fun albeit odd, I am actually shocked by his 5 star reviews because many people I've talked to have and "very bad experiences" with him as well.

Dr. Cangas and his staff were awesome with my son. We had to go for a sedated extraction and he was incredibly accommodating to fit him in in a timely manner. It was a very smooth process! Very clean and unique office! His staff was very friendly, professional and incredibly kind to us. Would highly recommend this Dentist to anyone in the are!

We've always loved Dental Derby and felt so comfortable in Dr. Cangas and his team's care. But yesterday our daughter took a bad fall at school and hit her mouth. The Dental Derby team got us in for an emergency appointment minutes after I called, even though it was when they were closing for the day. Dr. Cangas calmed my fears about teeth and gum damage but suggested stitches for the lip, which the pediatrician agreed with...so he got me going in the right direction right away. And THEN later in the evening, way after work hours, he sent me a message just to check in on our daughter. It meant so much to a worried mom after a stressful afternoon. Can't recommend this team and this practice enough! Can't imagine going anywhere else!

Dr. Cangas has us as patients for as long as we can stay. My son has a rare congenital disorder, and for the most part doctors enter the room and ask me to explain the condition to them, or worse, don't bother to look at his history at all and I have to tell them. Dr. Cangas entered the room with a few questions, but it was obvious in the questions that he had reviewed my son's history (which is pretty lengthy). My son has seen A LOT of specialists, and I can honestly say no one has reviewed his history in such detail....and my son was only there for a routine dental cleaning. This speaks volumes to Dr. Cangas' dedication to his patients. You can feel 100% confident in your child seeing him. Thank you, Dr. Cangas and staff, for caring so much.

I'm not one to quickly trust a dentist for my family since I have had bad experiences before, but I'm happy to say Dr. Cangas has been extremely supportive and informative throughout my experience with Dental Derby. You can tell he is a seasoned practitioner and cares about his patients. From fielding my calls during a dental emergency situation to going in detail about treatments, I'm very glad to have found this office.

Everyone at this practice has always been very welcoming and made my children feel comfortable. My daughter recently needed a dental procedure and I was very nervous due to her anxiety but Dr. Cangas was amazing, he did a beautiful job and made her feel comfortable and at ease. I worried for nothing! They are very honest and thorough and we appreciate it so much!

My five children have been going to Dental Derby since it opened. This is an exceptional practice staffed with professionals who are invested in their patients and love children. They have always been honest and caring, and they have only recommended treatment that was absolutely necessary. My adult, married children are now taking their own children to this wonderful practice. All of my children would have loved to stay with the Dental Derby team through adulthood if possible! I wish I could give it more stars!!!!!
