I am dedicated to providing each patient with exceptional dental care and education in order to help them enjoy the many benefits of a beautiful, healthy smile. Ultimately, I want to do everything possible to improve not just their oral health and appearance but also their self-confidence and overall quality of life.
Dr. H has also found it quite edifying to provide instruction for his peers on advancements in a range of dental services. Most recently, he traveled across the country to teach new strategies for removable aligner therapy and other cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Hackbarth and his wife, JoAnn are both Texas natives whose ancestors were here way back when revolution led to the creation of the Republic of Texas. While Dr. H and JoAnn enjoy traveling, they are always happy to return home. Dr. Hackbarth simply enjoys spending time with his family, regardless of whether they are shopping, working in the yard, taking long walks, or biking around Texas Citys scenic parks. He is also a gourmet chef who loves to create new dishes. (Ask him about his jalapeo cream sauce on fresh red snapperdelicious!)
JoAnn is vital to the offices success, acting as the bookkeeperand overseeingboth customer and staff relations. In addition to her administrative excellence, patients rave about the personal touch she has added to the office decor. In her spare time, JoAnn enjoys decorating at home and at the office. She is a former educator and servedon the local school board for six years.
After 21 years teaching elementary school, JoAnn Hackbarth joined our team 18 years ago as the office manager. She has most recently transitioned back to working on Public Relations and Marketing for our office so that she can spend more time with her grandchildren. She is deeply embedded in our community where she has served on many community boards. She truly enjoys seeing our patients smiling faces year after year. After hours, JoAnn loves entertaining, decorating, listening to a wide variety of music, craft projects, and keeping up with her grown children and grandchildren.
Valerie is from Needville,Texas and, although new to Texas City, she's been in the dental field for 14 years! One of Valerie's favorite parts of ever day is working closely with patients. Outside of the practice , she loves spending time with her family and traveling.
Esther is our Registered Dental Hygienist. She has earned two degrees in applied science, one focused in Dental Assisting and the other in Dental Hygiene. Esther is a member of the ADHA, TDHA, & BADHS. She's called dentistry her career for over 25 years. Esther and her dog, Pap live in the Kemah area. In her spare time, she plays the piano and sings professionally with her boyfriend, Scott, as well as in a new girl band, The Flowerettes. She also enjoys driving limousines.
Jan worked with us many years ago and has come back as our financial coordinator. Jan works with our clients to help them receive their maximum benefits from dental insurance, look for financing for larger treatment plans, and manage their dental accounts. Her bubbly personality makes her a fun addition to our team and dental family. During her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She also enjoys remodeling houses and teaching private softball pitching lessons.

Excellent customer service. I was having extreme tooth pain and wanted to see a dentist as soon as possible to address the issue. I called numerous dentist offices in the area and was unable to get a same-day appointment (it being a Friday is understandable), but Dental Cosmetic Center Bay Area said they could fit me in if I came right away.. even as a first time patient! I am so thankful for them because I was in severe pain and they cared enough to fit me in their schedule very last minute. Dr. Hackbarth was also very nice and professional, he helped me address the issue right away. The office is a very clean and comfortable place as well. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist!

This was my first time coming here and everyone was super nice and efficient. The doctor let me know everything that she was doing and was very nice as well. I will definitely be going back.

Dr. Laren discovered Calcium buildup on my arteries to my brain, great find on their part. Esther is my hygienist, and is always concern about my condition and wellbeing. I enjoy visiting with their office personnel, and is always treated with upmost respect. I plan to continue using this office for their service and refer others to Dr. Hackbarth's team. Thanks Again.

I've been going to the Dental Cosmetic Center for 13 years. After years of neglecting my dental hygiene and wanting to see a private local dentist I found THE full service all inclusive package. I was given more courtesy and respect than I could have imagined. This place and the great people who run it have been 5 stars since the beginning. Early on I gained a great respect for my need to maintain my dental hygiene, and have fully restored teeth. I also had a heart condition that possible started from bad dental habits (mostly neglect) that's since been fully restored. The gaps in my gums and bleeding when flossing was quickly restored. The crowding in my teeth were fixed within 9 months and the old silver filings allowing mercury to leach into my body were removed and replaced with solid crowns. Dr. Hackbarth has been open, honest and direct in guiding me through a mostly painless process of better habits and healthier teeth and guns. Ester (my dental hygienist) is an absolute rock star. She takes her work with such a passion that it changed my perspective on my dental health early on and is a lifestyle today. The staff is always on time, easy to work with and a pleasure to interact with.

My sister in law and I came in to get a consultation done (I was there for moral support) and I HAVE to say, this is the nicest and most friendly office I've ever been to. Clean, put together, beautifully decorated. It felt like visiting a friend. The bathrooms are clean as well, and actually SMELL clean. The whole place smells like a home and not a dentists office. I can't give these people enough stars. Dr. Hackbarth is so funny to talk to, but you can also see how much knowledge he has in what he's doing. Thank you for being accommodating and understanding my family members concerns and answering any questions she or I had. Thank you thank you.

Coming from someone who has horrible dental anxiety, this office is the nicest, most warm hearted, coziest dental office I have ever been to. Not only did they accommodate me beyond means, but they answered every question I had and actually listened to my concerns. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I'd give them 1,000,000!! Dr.Hackbarth and his amazing staff know how to run an office!

Dr. Hackbarth and his team are great! No one likes to go to the dentist but they really make it as nice as possible. The place is clean and the staff is so accommodating. I was quite nervous because it had been to long between visits and they set up a plan and made me feel comfortable. Thank you all so much for your wonderful hospitality!
