In addition to his tireless work inside the dental office, Dr. Hackbarth is proud to be a long-time member of the Texas City neighborhood.Our team regularly provides support to the Texas City Independent School District, Texas City Friends of the Library, Texas City Heritage Association, and more. Dr. Hackbarth actually grew up with a dentist for a father, and ever since he can remember, the man was encouraging him to follow in his footsteps. While Dr. Hackbarth wasnt especially interested at first, he eventually agreed to take the dental aptitude test. Imagine his surprise when they got the results back and hed scored an 8 on one part and a 9 on the other! He thought hed done horribly at first, only for his dad to let him know that the test was graded from 1 to 9 and hed actually scored in the top 1% nationwide. He decided to apply for dental school because of the test and quickly realized that he really did love the field. The rest, they say, is history.
Dr. Hackbarths college career started out at the University of Houston. Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, he pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. After graduation, he went into practice with his father and completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in all sorts of topics, including TMJ/head/neck pain, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, endodontics, dentures, and much more. Today, he is an Associate of the Texas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and a founding doctor of ClearCorrect. Hes also an accomplished speaker/teacher who has presented both in the US and abroad!
Dr. Houliston is new to Texas City and the Texas Gulf Coast area. She is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and went to dental school in Glendale, Arizona. Dr. Houliston strives to help her patients feel relaxed, comfortable and at ease during their dental visits so that every visit is enjoyable.
Dr. Lauren Houliston did her undergraduate studies at the Universitty of New Mexico. She then continued and received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Midwestern University in Glendale Arizona. Dr. Houliston is a certified Invisalign provider and is particularly interested in utilizing the latest technology in dentistry to achieve the best dental results possible.
Dr. Houliston is the second of four children in her family. She played basketball during high school and won the state championship one year while playing there. Dr. Houliston loves to read ( mostly fiction and mystery), bake, travel, and try new restaurants. Her bucket list includes visiting every state in the United States. Being new to Galveston County and the Texas Coast, she welcomes restaurant recommendations from her patients.

I have spent a LOT of time & money at dentist offices from Texas to Florida to Washington D.C. Deciding to finally get veneers was a BIG decision. Finding the right dentist was important to me so I did tons of research. When I found Dr. Hackbarth, I went doing research. Me & my husband have been extremely happy with the dental work we have had done. The office staff, the hygienist and the dental assistant have been responsive, gentle and helpful. We couldn't be happier. I love my veneers and the experience make me super happy!

ABSOLUTELY love this place. All the staff are friendly,caring,and makes you feel welcomed. They took the time while In a meeting to open the doors and wanted to help my boyfriend immediately when they knew he was in pain.

Over the years especially as a kid I have had some bad dental experiences and as such I had let my oral hygiene slip away. However this past August I had to find a dentist to take care of an old filling so I found Dr. Hackbarth's office. Dr. Houliston saw me and immediately came up with an action plan since I needed more work than I had thought. Over the past few months my teeth have improved and I can't say enough about the team here. Everyone is so courteous and friendly yet very efficient and the facility is very modern and not cold like so many dental officices. If I had found this place years ago I'd be willing to bet that my teeth would be in much better shape and I'll definitely be a patient for a long time.

Wow! Just amazing. Who would say that about a dentist visit? But its very true. I've never even reviewed a dentist experience before but had to with this one. We moved to this side of town and were looking for a new dentist and found them on an internet search. Low and behold, these guys are outstanding. So nice. Beautiful office. Dentist, dental hygentist, plus office staff made me feel so very comfortable and trust me, I was nervous because going to the dentist is very difficult and scarey for me. I instantly felt calmness like I knew them forever. Great experience top to bottom and looking forward to using them moving forward. They have a customer for life and my family will be using them as well. Many stars!!!

During my initial visit I received the most thorough explanation of my personal dental health I've ever had; the Dr was informative and educational. Everyone that helped take care of me- from check in to check out were all very kind and made me feel comfortable. Pricing was given up front so no surprise bill at the end.

I normally hate the dentist office but Dr Hackbarth, and his entire team made me feel so welcome. They were honest and to the point with my teeth and very genuine in personality. I value people on how genuine or professional they are and prefer people to be genuine. I got what I asked for and it eased my nerves even more. His Dental assistant was wonderful and kind and his dental Hygienist also wonderful and very knowledgeable. It took me 6 years to stomach the nerve to go to a dentist again but with this office I'll be back as many times as it's possible to get my teeth in order. Brian Jordan-Dean

I recently had new dentures made and I am also an older patient of this office. The office is a total package from your appointment until the final product was delivered . Dr Hackbart is very thorough making sure that he doesn't miss a thing. He is very professional and care for your needs. He explains well and respect your choices. The office ambiance is welcoming and very homey. The staff are all caring and respectful. You have to come to this clinic and experience it firsthand.

I went in for a cleaning on a free dental day, and I couldn't be happier. The staff was very nice, the dentist was funny while explaining what he saw in the exam, and the hygienist did an excellent job cleaning my teeth while being gentle on my teeth and gums. Thanks so much!!!

Great experience! The dentist & staff are super friendly. My hygienist was Ester. She was very thorough with everything she did. I had x-rays, cleaning & counseling all for FREE! Ester was very careful and made sure I was comfortable at all times. The moment I walked in the door I was greeted by a lovely lady named Joanne (sorry for the spelling). The office is beautiful and it doesn't smell like medicine; it was like a spa. Thank you Dental Cosmetic Bay Area! You guys are amazing! I highly recommend this place. You guys rock!!!!!
