  • Intraoral Camera a tool the dentist uses to examine your mouth in a detailed way. The instrument, which may look like an oversized pen, has a camera that takes high-resolution footage or images of a patients mouth and shows the visuals real-time on a monitortheyre like high-tech versions of the hand mirrors.

Hi, Im Dr. Brian Kwapisz, I grew up in Detroit and attended college at U of M- Ann Arbor. From there I attended dental school at University of Detroit Mercy, completing my degree in 1997. I worked as an associate at Family Dental Centers for 7 years. In 2005 I relocated to Charlevoix with my wife. We have 3 children. I enjoy outdoor activities like boating, fishing, camping, and hiking.

What I enjoy most about dentistry is interacting with different people and simplifying their treatment, especially those who are anxious or afraid. Many people have had a negative experience in the past. I enjoy providing them with positive and enjoyable visits while we get to know one another.

That was the best dental visit/filling I have had. The doctor is so skilled and careful and the staff is professional and warm and knowledgeable. Dentistry is my least favorite procedure but this was great. Highly recommended them!

I had quite a few fillings today, and normally I ALWAYS get the nitro gas if any needle is going into my mouth. I was so nervous, but Dr Pruden did amazing and made me feel comfortable. After 25 years I no longer need the gas to get numbed. Thank youuuu (:

Always a struggle to get in. They don't schedule right and you will be waiting forever.

I got some wisdom teeth removed at West Branch office after Labor Day. The day after my oral procedure, they called to check on me. Dr. Ackerman was good. He made sure I was numb from the shots before removing my wisdom teeth. He didn't want me to experience pain. I wish the AFTER THE ORAL PROCEDURE DIRECTIONS on the paper that I've received after would have more information on it. *** However, the office manager could improve on her customer service towards the patients. I live 1 hour and 30 minutes away from the office. It's quite a trip to check in someone's mouth for like 2 minutes or less. I am experiencing some difficulty in my recovery. She would NOT ask or forward an email towards the doctor about some things that he could answer for me that may save me a trip. I feel absolutely miserable. If I go, I feel the doctor should prescribed something if everything looks alright....It's a must. ............... It would have been better if my questions about my wisdom teeth extraction would have been answered!!

And in 1 day caused one of my fillings to fall out, had to wait 2 weeks for the appt at 8am to get the tooth fixed and then told would have to come back at 12:30 to have the filling replaced when that was what the appt was for in the first place this dentist is a joke

I had two fillings replaced that didn't hurt at all and I've been in agony ever since. They keep telling me it's normal but it's definitely not. I told them that it's so painful I can't eat and I've been losing weight...they told me I was lucky to be losing weight. If you had COVID and call after you're done with your quarantine don't tell them because they'll make you quarantine for an extra 20 days. You could say "I had COVID 16 days ago." and they would still say the quarantine starts from the day you informed them. Now I get to live in agony until December probably but hey maybe I'll lose some more weight

I have had nothing but problems after they worked on my teeth. From 2 separate infections to a necrotic tooth that swelled up my whole face and ended up costing 2000$ to have an emergency extraction by an oral surgeon who told me the 'dentist that filled that tooth drilled too deep and killed the tooth'. Through all of these complications from THEIR work, they refused to see me or treat any of my ailments. Their 'emergency' appointments are scheduled a month or 2 from the time you call. This is NOT adequate care for your patients. No thanks! I do NOT recommend getting any work done here.

Just got the parcel I didn't want today was told I was getting a flipper ended up with a mouth full of metal they don't listen to the opinion of the patient at all I needed 3 teeth in this parcel but I got 2 out of place front teeth with a gap instead it took them nearly 7 months to get me a janky peice of rough metal so here's to looking like sponge after a failed attempt at rehab if ur smart don't go to this place

When I first visited this dentist I knew something was wrong with my mouth. I had a tooth that was chipped in half on one side and a pain on the other side. When I came in and got my X-rays they told me I did not have an infection in either side but would have to get the tooth chipped in half taken out. I asked multiple times if they were sure there was nothing wrong and I did not need antibiotics. A couple of weeks later both sides started to get abscesses and I had to call and ask for antibiotics. . Fast forward 3 months I came in to get my tooth pulled and a different dentist looks at my first X-rays told me that I in fact had two infections right were I thought I did and right were the last dentist told me there was nothing. Today I called with a question about my extraction site and was told the nurse would call me when she was done with a patient. They are now closed for the weekend. These people are not through and do not care.

My four kids and I come here from Houghton lake because of the service. Everyone in so nice to us, the kids get along with everyone there and im sure that helps them feel more relaxed. If there not to busy they have taken 2 kids at a time so I don't have to come back a week later. I had four teeth pulled not to long ago and I was terrified but the dentist did such a good job I definitely feel more comfortable if I have to get more done in the future.

Waited 6 months for a consult. Was seen quickly, got x-rays within the first 10-15 minutes. Then I sat and waited for over an hour and never saw te doctor so I left. Obviously there was a scheduling problem that couldn't be worked out in 6 months. Absolutely garbage.

Being new to the area, I simply chose a dentist from my insurance's "in network" list...They pulled a tooth that my NEW dentist has since determined was in NO way necessary to remove. Their 1st silver filling FELL OUT within 2 days. Their 2nd (replacement) filling FELL OUT while I was still in their office. Their 3rd (replacement) filling started FALLING OUT within a week later. My NEW dentist has identified that the tooth they filled THREE TIMES is actually broken in half. Surgery in May to remove the tooth, it is now unable to be repaired. I have been in pain due to their shoddy work for THREE MONTHS. In addition, I witnessed staff discussing how "disgusting" a patient was, after the patient had left thier office. I can't find the words to fully express how awful this experience has been. DO. NOT. GO. HERE.!!!

Rudest office manager at the West Branch office that I have ever dealt with!! She wouldn't let me get in a word. I had a question about an appointment and she was very rude in front of other staff member's and patients. It's a difficult time for many and it only takes a second to be nice and show other's respect and some compassion. Her attitude was very uncalled for and her behavior was disrespectful. The Hygentist and Dentist were a total different story very polite and professional.
