  • Panoramicradiography, also calledpanoramic xray, is a two-dimensional (2-D) dentalxrayexamination that captures the entire mouth in a single image, including the teeth, upper and lower jaws, surrounding structures and tissues.
  • Intraoral Camera a tool the dentist uses to examine your mouth in a detailed way. The instrument, which may look like an oversized pen, has a camera that takes high-resolution footage or images of a patients mouth and shows the visuals real-time on a monitortheyre like high-tech versions of the hand mirrors.
  • Soft Tissue Lasers are used to treat many common dental conditions in a gentle, minimally invasive way. Using soft tissue lasers reduces bleeding, reduces pain, discomfort and swelling, and makes for a more comfortable healing process. We use soft tissue lasers for applications, such as gum surgery, reshaping gum tissue after receiving an implant, and treatments for gum disease.

Hi, Im Dr. Brian Kwapisz, I grew up in Detroit and attended college at U of M- Ann Arbor. From there I attended dental school at University of Detroit Mercy, completing my degree in 1997. I worked as an associate at Family Dental Centers for 7 years. In 2005 I relocated to Charlevoix with my wife. We have 3 children. I enjoy outdoor activities like boating, fishing, camping, and hiking.

What I enjoy most about dentistry is interacting with different people and simplifying their treatment, especially those who are anxious or afraid. Many people have had a negative experience in the past. I enjoy providing them with positive and enjoyable visits while we get to know one another.

Really bad service. Female dentist on duty had no compassion or understanding. Was so rude I left without finishing the appointment. Wasn't able to sympathize with confusion over coverage. Was rude about me being upset and crying about insurance issues.

The dentist that did my wisdom tooth extraction was the best dentist I have ever seen. He made me feel relaxed and confident in his abilities. The next day I have no pain or problems.

Super disappointed with the service here. Besides needing a tooth removed that can't be performed here, I was referred to a doctor who didn't accept my insurance and informed me I'd only have to pay about 1500$. "ONLY". Not to mention my pain being dismissed as normal. I feel like nowadays women especially are gaslighted into thinking they need to endure pain and suffer. I am tired of any and all medical professionals dismissing women in general and making us feel like our pain and medical needs aren't as important.

This facility has a policy where you need to confirm your appointment within 24 hours of your appointment otherwise they will cancel your appointment. The "office manager" is not personable at all. She talked down to me in a condescending way any chance she got. I clearly stated that I had no prior knowledge of this policy and that I understand the policy going forward. However, I asked if she would be able to check in with the other person that just accepted my appointment (less than 1 and half hours ago) if they would potentially be available for the appointment they were offering me as I had an orthodontist appointment and needed to keep my scheduled time. (If they weren't available- no big deal) She gave my request and situation no thought or care. I am disappointed and sadly finding a new office. I have been going to this clinic since I was a little girl. Chivalry is dead.

I must say I have been going here for years and have always been pleased with the service and the staff. However I am not impressed with their current dentist. I consider it major when you have to make the decision to treat an old root canal or have it pulled; yet she never talked to me at all. She talked about me to the staff cleaning my teeth and ask one question I could not answer because there were fingers in my mouth. It was like a tornado blew through and the staff assumed I over heard and said she would give me a referral to for treatment on -then told me I would have to pay for that so only option was to have it pulled. I really need a second opinion as to whether this is even necessary. Now they call to find out if I want it pulled or treated. Any other dentist said it was sinus infection not tooth infection. Need the dentist to at least discuss it with me...Frustrated

The staff is so professional and knowledgeable. They are so busy right now and I was given the best treatment. Dr. Thayer is excellent! And the hygienist staff are too.

According to all available information, they were supposed to be open today (October 12, 2020). However, after calling their business number I was informed that they were closed, and I was not provided with a reason. I would be willing to wager that their closure was due to Columbus Day, however they provided no indication of that, and to top it off they are not comprised of federal employees to the best of my knowledge. In addition, the last time I visited them (some time in February, I believe), their work was subpar at best. I would severely recommend finding another dentist if you are able.

By far the worst experience I have ever had directly with a dentist (Dr. Clark). I have worked with plenty of surgeons, nurses, nursing assistants, office staff and never seen someone treat a patient in such a disrespectful way. I was questioned about my pain then laughed at, asked why do I keep flinching when I was anxious about the pain, and finished the appointment with her once again skeptical about my pain because I described it differently when I was trying to give a different example to help her understand. I left in tears and I will never return. Dr. Clark needs a lesson in respect and empathy. I called the Traverse City office where they welcomed me and will be trying that office.
