We also integrate nutrition and natural supplements into our treatment plans so our patients can always smile from head-to-toe.
Dr. Kogan became a dentist because she is very passionate about helping others become their best selves. The lasting power of a smile is definitely underrated in todays world, as far as shes concerned its amazing how this one characteristic can help adults gain newfound confidence and even lead to better jobs, new relationships, and other lifelong benefits. She also really enjoys being around other people and hearing about their life struggles; she provides the advice they need whenever possible. More than anything, she believes in treating people, not teeth, which is why this career is such a good fit for her.
Dr. Kogan attended New York University for her undergraduate degree and then proceeded to NYUS College of Dentistry in order to achieve her Doctor of Dental Surgery. Following graduation, she attended a General Residency at Hackensack University Hospital. Over the course of her career, she has pursued continuing education regularly, including advanced education at SPEAR and the Apa Rosenthal Institute. Shes also trained extensively with BOTOX and Invisalign.
Dr. Kogan is happily married with a teenage son and daughter. When she isnt busy at work, she is an avid traveler and her favorite place on the planet is Positano, Italy. She also loves cooking she makes a point to take cooking classes everywhere she travels, and her go-to cookbook is by Ina Garten. Additional interests include alternative medicine, supplements, and natural ways of healing.
While in high school, Dr. Romano actually interned at a local dental office for a year. She also took a jewelry-making course with the dentist, who noticed that she had great manual dexterity. He ended up advising her to pursue oral healthcare as a career, and from there, she made the decision to become a dentist when she was only 14 years old! All these years later, shes never regretted that choice and truly loves her work.
After graduating from Providence College with her degree in Biology and Public/Community Service, Dr. Romano entered in the NYU College of Dentistry, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery. She also participated in the honors program, providing important dental care to individuals with complex medical needs, and completed research that was showcased at the ADA conference.
Upon graduation from dental school, she completed a residency at New York Medical College, where she worked at Westchester Medical Center alongside the oral surgery team. She has also continued her studies by attending courses on the surgical placement of dental implants, TMJ therapy, Accelerated Invisalign, and BOTOX. This advanced education has taken place at prestigious institutions like SPEAR Education, New York Implant Dentistry Continuum, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
Dr. Romano is originally from Long Island, where she grew up on a farm and spend most of her time helping with the vineyard and riding horses. Today, she is happily married with a Miniature Dachshund at home named Olive. When she isnt busy at the practice, she spends her free time boating with her husband, walking her dog on the beach, hiking, and learning as much as she can about nutritions role in physical fitness.

I've been with Dental Center for 14 years and love them. They're excellent dentists who care for their patients. My kids and I have healthy teeth thanks to them. And their new office is spectacular!

My experience here is generally good. The hygienists, reception staff, and doctor are all always cordial and friendly. I have had billing issues resolved with them in a timely and helpful manner, and they have been great about helping me reschedule without the missed appointment fee (it had to be on the same day). What I do wish is that the medical staff would explain more often what they are doing, what they notice about your teeth/mouth, and ask questions/give you advice on how to improve your habits and routine. I feel like they have a habit of quietly noting things to themselves, but only offering the information if I explicitly ask about it. I'm curious about what they see--I'd love to understand more! It would also be nice during procedures (like fillings) if they would tell me exactly what they are doing and what is happening at each step. Obviously I want the procedure to be done quickly and efficiently, but a brief explanation would be really appreciated.

Every experience I've had at the Dental Center of Westport has been like none other. Over the years, I've lost a lot of enamel from undiagnosed nighttime clenching and gum recession. Dr. Masha Kogan immediately knew what was happening and put me on the right path. We started out with Invisalign which lasted 11 weeks to correct minor issues. Then, she whitened my teeth with Zoom and I was sent home with trays and gel to continue the whitening as needed. Next, she bonded my damaged teeth with amazing skill, patience and care. The bonding is undetectable, it looks incredibly natural! Dr. Kogan is an exceptional person/dentist in so many ways. Extremely talented, understanding and caring. Unlike many dentists Dr. Kogan has a solid, holistic understanding of how whole body health/disease intertwines with the teeth and applies the necessary treatment accordingly. She is minimalistic in her approach but with outstanding outcomes. Any referrals she's given me have also been to wonderful doctors. The office is extremely clean, bright and modern. They are prompt with appointment times and anything else that's needed. I've always been greeted with smiles and a friendliness that makes the entire visit very comforting.
