Dr. Rick Kimbrel graduated from Georgia Southern University and earned his DMD from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. He has been practicing dentistry in Vidalia since 1990. A dedicated dentist, Dr. Kimbrel continues to travel throughout the United States and Europe attending courses that keep him current in the most advanced areas of dentistry. He completed his training in smile design and veneer restorations in Chicago, Illinois at the Center for Esthetic Excellence. He completed advanced surgical training in dental implant placement and restoration at Bicon International in Rome, Italy.

Dr. Kimbrel is a clinical Associate Professor in Oral Rehabilitation at the Medical College of Georgia. He is licensed and holds certificates in Conscious Sedation Dentistry, Advanced Anterior Esthetics, Dermal Lip and Facial Fillers, Botox, Dysport, Implant Surgical Placement and Restoration, Damon System Orthodontics, Ivisalign Clear Braces, and Cerec Cad-Cam Restorations. Dr. Kimbrel is a Preferred Provider for the Invisalign company. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Morris was born and raised in Palatka, Fl. After graduating from Palatka High School in 1993, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida. Dr. Morris continued her education at the University of Florida College of Dentistry and earned her earned her Doctorate in Medical Dentistry, D.M.D., in 2001. Dr. Morris is licensed to practice dentistry in Florida and Georgia. She is dedicated to providing excellent restorative and esthetic care for all her patients.

She continues to pursue multiple continuing education courses to advance her abilities. She has studied under some of the leading doctors in the country including Dr. Alex Touchstone, DDS for Advanced Cerec techniques, Dr. Pete Dawson, DDS for temporomandibular joint dysfunction treatment & Dr. John Chao, DMD for the pinhole periodontal or lunchtime gum lift.

Dr. Morris lives in Lyons, Georgia with her husband, Jeremy, and their three children, Clay, Megan, and Lyndsey. Dr. Morris maintains membership in the American Dental Association, (ADA), the Georgia Dental Association, (GDA), the Central District Dental Society, (CDDS) and the American Association for Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Lyons. As a member, she is very involved in mission activities & also serves as a choir member & on the board of trustees. Dr. Morris is also on the board of directors of the Vidalia Heritage Academy where her children attend school.

Dr. Hamilton, a native of Vidalia, obtained his D.M.D. degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2005. Since his graduation, he has enhanced his dental training through continuing education classes conducted throughout the United States. He has trained under top teaching clinicians in order to better serve his patients. Dr. Hamilton is a graduate of the GRU Maxi Implant Course and a Fellow, Master, and Diplomate (highest level) in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is licensed in conscious and IV sedation dentistry and a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He has completed advanced training in CEREC dentistry at the Spear Education Center in Scottsdale, AZ (Posterior Quadrant Proficiency and Implants). His training also includes Anterior Composite work at the Center for Esthetic Excellence in Chicago, Illinois with Dr. Corky Willhite. Dr. Hamilton is a active member of the of the Georgia Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He currently serves as a part-time faculty member at the Dental College of Georgia (Medical College of Georgia). Dr. Hamilton is one of the founders of Buffalo Tactics, a teaching company that educates dentist on the surgical and restorative aspects of implant dentistry.

Dr. Hamilton is married to the former Joni Owen of Dublin, GA. They have two daughters, Anna-Hudson and Chandler Kathleen and a son Stewart Ashley Hamilton, Jr. Dr. Hamilton enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and is an active member of the Vidalia First United Methodist Church.

Dr. Logan Christian is a Georgia native who was born in Columbus and raised in Waynesboro. Like his father, Dr. Johnny Christian, he decided to pursue a career in medicine. His parents instilled in him a love for helping people and impacting the community both inside and outside of his field of work. After graduating from Edmund Burke Academy in 2012, he went on to attend Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where he earned a degree in Chemistry, played football, and met his fiancee, TIlly. He will earn his DMD from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in May 2021.

Through alumni relations at MCG, he was able to meet Dr. Kimbrel and Dr. Hamilton. He looks forward to pursuing multiple continuing education courses to advance his abilities under the leadership and guidance of Dental Center of Vidalia. He believes the standard of work, character, and humility of the professionals at the Dental Center of Vidalia are unmatched, and Dr. Christian immediately connected with the people and environment created by this office. From a small town himself, he understands the value of patient care and relationships and looks forward to starting his family and serving the community of Vidalia, GA.

In addition to his love for dentistry, he is an avid sportsman. He enjoys being outdoors and in his free time you can find him hunting or fishing. He loves to travel, especially if his 3 year old Boykin, Baker, can tag along.

Sherrie has been with Dental Center of Vidalia since 2001. She is a 1990 graduate Of Toombs County High School. She is our Office Manager and our Insurance Coordinator. She started out scheduling for the doctors for three years and then scheduled for the hygienists for two years. She took over as our insurance coordinator in 2007. She has been through many training seminars & courses and has a lot of experience with dental insurance and dental claims.

Sherrie is married to Tony Mitchell. They have five children: Kristin, Chelsea, Mason, Erika and Eliza. They also have two grandchildren: Gage and Kailen. They attend Tabernacle Baptist church in Vidalia. She enjoys spending time with her family & children and traveling with her husband.

A native of Telfair County moving to Vidalia to begin her career with our practice in 1996. She is married to Ken McDonald; they have one son, Jonathon, and a fur baby, Zoee. She ministers in her church to the young adults and sings on the praise team. Her passion for the Lord shows through in her work.

Tammy Shuman is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She received her degree in Allied Health Science from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA. She has practiced 18 years with the Dental Center of Vidalia.

She is married to Brian Shuman and has 3 children; Blake, Kalab and Anna Marie. She is an active member of First Baptist Church of Collins. She enjoys spending time with family and watching her children play sports.

Casi Thigpen graduated from Southeastern Technical College in May 2015 with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. She was a recipient of the Hinman Dental Scholarship, a finalist in the GOAL award, Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership, and won the Golden Scaler Award.

Casi loves interacting with the patients and tries to make their visit enjoyable, while providing quality comprehensive care. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, shopping, and running.

Phillisa Frost is a Dental Assistant with over 21 years of experience. She is certified in Expanded Duties along with Cerec/CadCam, Botox/Juvederm, Implant and Pinhole Surgery. She is also a member of the Georgia Dental Assistants Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries. Phillisa is proud of her job and enjoys working beside Dr. Kimbrel while delivering quality dental care using cutting edge technology.

Samantha Smith has been employed with Dental Center of Vidalia since 2005. Samantha earned her EDA, Expanded Duties Assisting certificate in 2007 and then went on to achieve her CDA, Certified Dental Assisting certification in 2011 from the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. Samantha takes great pride in her job and enjoys being involved with all the new technologies as they become available. She loves meeting new patients and strives to build relationships with each patient and finds their trust is very important and rewarding.

On a personal note, Samantha is a resident and native of Tattnall County. She is married to Will Smith and they have three children, Kayla, Emma and Lily. She and her family love to vacation once a year in Disney World. It has become her favorite place to go.

Kimberly Avantis a Montgomery County native and graduated in 2004 from Southeastern Technical College with a Business Office Technology Degree. She received her certification from the Dental Assisting National Board in 2009.

Kimberly startedworking with Dental Center of Vidalia in 2006as a Certified Dental Assistant. Working with our wonderful patients, she says is by far the best part of her job. She is also blessed to be part of an amazing dental team. She has two children, a son Sloan and a daughter Skylar. She attends the Vidalia First Baptist Church.

Amber Mosley has been with the Dental Center of Vidalia family since 2014. She earned her EDA, Expanded Duties Assistant in 2015 and plans to further her education in becoming a CDA, Certified Dental Assistant. Amber graduated from Toombs County High School and went on to become a certified Phlebotomist as well as graduate with her Associates Degree from East Georgia State College.
