I was born and raised in Memphis, TN. My father and grandmother were both passionate dentists, which got me involved with dentistry at a very young age. In 1985, I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Biology. Later, I got my professional degree in dentistry and 1989 my doctorate in Dental Surgery. To this day, I maintain contact with the university and faculty so I may continue my education and remain at the forefront of the dental profession.
In 1999, I opened my own practice, DentalCares, so that I could give back to the community I grew up with. I have extensive experience in prosthetics and cosmetic surgery and have been acknowledged by a number of professionals for my work in those areas. Above all else, my goal is to provide exceptional care for my patients. I work hard to give each and every patient specialized care so that they are given the best possible support. I have devoted my life to helping people attain their desired dental health, and I would love nothing more than to be able to provide that for you.

Charged me twice for a visit, I payed in cash and then told me I didn't pay for my first visit. Not to mention that $50 is high for a co-pay! I do not recommend these people to anyone! Their service is not great either.

Dr. Ross was rough & very rude. He did not try to make pulling my wisdom tooth a comfortable experience for me. It was traumatic & I'll never go back there again. Ever.

The people are friendly. Unfortunately, on the call center / scheduling end, I asked to make an appointment for a Maxiofacial surgeon and a regular dentist. The woman scheduling me set up those two appointments, first with the immediate need, my jaw pain. Later, I would have a dental cleaning. Unfortunately when I showed up, I put everything on my paperwork, the reason I was there, had a full set of x-rays, and described why I was there to the hygienist. Then, when the doctor came in, he asked why I was here, hadn't yet looked at the paperwork that takes a while to complete, and still I preceded to explain that I've had a failed arthroplasty, I'm seeking another opinion to see what can be done to alleviate my chronic daily pain, and he suggested the splint option. Then I asked if that's the only thing, and he went on to state that he's a general dentist, and immediately I was frustrated because I didn't get in until a half hour later than the appointment time, and it was one hour to learn it was a wasted appointment. He explained about the call center making that mistake, which I don't blame anybody in that office, as it was not their mistake. However, it was a waste of time, and they provided me the name of an oral surgeon to call. It's just frustrating to have missed work, and to now make another appointment where I need to miss work again. Just frustrated with the system, and I will have a bill waiting for me for x-rays I didn't need to get done, and billed for a wasted appointment. Thank You for listening. Please do follow up with your call center , PR1, who made these appointments and made this big mistake costing me time and money, so this doesn't happen again.

Wonderful staff. I was a new patient and did not have a appointment and they got me worked in within a hour and a half of being there. Doctor Hennesy was excellent!! He is very through and explained everything in detail so I could understand it. I highly recommend!! I can't speak on the prices because I have dental insurance but the dental I have is not all that great so what I've seen so far it is very affordable even to those that don't have any insurance.

Kimmy was the most informative & professional Dental Hygienist. If you think getting your teeth cleaned is uncomfortable you should ask for Kimmy-she was so gentle & thorough! My teeth felt clean & my gums are not sore at all! She was EXCELLENT! Went in this morning because a crown fell out & I was in & out within 30 minutes, all fixed up. Thank you Dental Cares

I called on 8/31/22 and spoke with Savannah. I am a client, but my son isn't. I asked her, if they had an anesthesiologist, because my son is about to have implants,after removal of all of his teeth. And his dentist does not offer it. She checked to see,and the answer is "no". But then I asked if she knew one,or could recommend one. She didn't. BUT.... She was so sweet & helpful, and checked all around,for a good 10 or so minutes, til she found one for me !!!! This was close to 5pm,so I don't know yet,if that place can help,as they were already closed. My point to this is, I truly appreciate Ms. Savanah's help & kindness, she went out of her way to help me,and I wanted to let the office know,what a true asset you have! Sincerely, Rebecca Wolverton

I originally came in to see Dr. Hennessy because I had a wisdom tooth that broke and was giving me trouble. I was referred to an oral surgeon but sadly, they did not take my insurance. After calling every oral surgeon in the area with the help of my insurance, I was unable to find help. The pain was getting worse and I contacted Dental Cares again to see if they had any suggestions. I was seen by Dr. Ross to extract two of my wisdom teeth to solve the mouth/tooth pain. He was patient, kind, and made sure I was well taken care of. I cannot thank him and his staff enough for caring for me and helping resolve the issue. I look forward to going back for my cleaning and to get a full treatment plan in place as I trust them to get my mouth into tiptop shape.
