AtDental Care West, our philosophy is to treat you how we would our own family. That means we do what's best for you and no one else! We make sure you are comfortable and well educated about your dental care. We believe an educated patient can make the best decisions for themselves. We are not a dental mill. We don't rush patients through our office. You are a person, not a number. When you come visit us, we know you by name. We don't look in your mouth and tell you what you need. We do not force our values on you.
First, we sit and listen. We find out what YOUR needs and wants are for your teeth. We find out what your goals are for your oral health, and then we construct a custom treatment plan to help you reach those goals the most conservative and cost effective way. Our patients love knowing that our office gives them what they want. We never force treatment on anyone, or persuade a patient into doing something that doesn't help them reach their goals. Dr. Riley Adams graduated from Brigham Young University in 2004 in the honors program with a degree in Psychology. He received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2011. He then completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry with the US Air Force, Keesler AFB, MS in 2012. After working as an Air Force dentist in Mississippi and San Antonio, Riley and his family are excited to make Leander their home. He and his wife Krista have been married for 13 years and have 4 children. They enjoy being outdoors hiking and exploring in their free time. Road trips are a favorite past time and recent ones have included both a 7500 mile road trip through the Rockies and Pacific Coast as well as a 3500 mile trip through the Appalachian mountains.
Dr. Adams provides comprehensive dental care and has completed advanced courses in restorative, cosmetic and technologically advanced dentistry to make sure he is providing the highest quality dentistry that is available today. He also offers sedation dentistry to keep patients relaxed and comfortable during dental procedure

Went to get one wisdom tooth out they thought they numbed me and when the doctor came back to take the tooth out I was screaming so intense but I honestly couldn't handle the pain.. the doctor told me that there's other patients around me and that I could't be screaming like that. Didn't even ask me if I was okay !! I told him and his assistant that I couldn't handle the pain I was crying so bad and they both looked at me like they didn't care at all and left. I would never recommend this place! 0/10 These people for sure need a new dentist and receptionist

This is the first dental place that I've been to with the receptionists being so rude especially with a handicapped person it's just so sad that there are places like this !

I can't attest to any experience with the actual dentist. After sitting for an hour after my scheduled appointment, X-rays done, the dentist had still had not come in. I had another appointment to get to and got up and nicely told the desk folk that I had to leave due to another scheduled appointment. They were extremely rude and dismissive and told me "we can't ever guarantee when the dentist will actually see you" then told me to call back some time in October because they couldn't get me in any sooner after booking me for an appointment literally 2 days after I called them. The dentist sounded like a nice guy, but I guess I'll never know. It's hard for me to believe that this office is so highly respected given the way the front desk people treat clients.

Let me start by saying how much I hate dentists. They always hurt you, and they give you bad news. BUT, Dr. Adams and his staff are so nice and work hard to make you comfortable. My first visit to Dr. Adams came with a fair share of bad news, but they also spoke to me with patience and compassion. The first- of what will be several visits- was uncomfortable, but they ALL worked hard to make it as tolerable as possible. You will search for a long time to find a practice as good as Dental Care West, so just stop looking and go see them!

Avoid this office. If you're a medicaid recipient, there are other places. I had the remainder of my teeth pulled here. With all the teeth I've had pulled elsewhere, I know what it should be like. The shots were extremely heavy handed. When the dentist got to my remaining teeth on bottom, I let him know I could feel it. For whatever reason, he said he would try the other side of those teeth. When I jumped in pain, I was scolded; he said "I have very sharp tools, you need to be more careful". After the procedure, I had huge bone spurs that prevented me from wearing my denture. My denturist said to go back to the dentist. When my husband called, he was dismissed, saying my insurance would not cover the procedure. I have other insurance that very much would cover it, but I went to another provider anyway. I shared my experience with them, and now I'm sharing it here. This was the first time I'd ever used Medicaid for anything, and I don't feel like it's a coincidence. Please look into other options, especially if you're getting major surgery done.

The review I'm leaving for Dental Care West and the staff is not based on my opinion. I am basing it on my experience and facts. Im 55 years old and have been a patient of many dental care businesses over the years and my experience with the services and entire staff of Dental Care West has been absolutely fantastic and beyond expectations every single visit! If I could give them 10 stars, I would. The office manager and front end staff are super nice, super efficient and handle theirs jobs with perfection and professionalism. I, like many others, do not jump for joy when dental problems arise, however being lucky enough to be patient of Dental Care West has greatly reduced any dental anxiety I've had at other providers. The Dr. and back end staff are just as amazing as the front end staff. I've had a top notch experience every visit. You know Dental Care West is as good as it gets when I'm never in a hurry to leave after my procedure and I can 100% guarantee that I look forward to my next appointment. Caring, supportive, helpful as all get out and just awesome folks. I feel very lucky to have Dental Care West as my dental provider and would not be happy to go anywhere else.....ever!!! I have some high standards when seeking dental care and the entire staff at Dental Care West have met and far exceeded them. Thank you all so much for your kindness and friendliness. I very much appreciate what great people you all are! Dental Care West Rocks!

Awesome dental office. Came in for full mouth extractions with immediate dentures. First dentist I went to wanted me to go surgery route this office was able to do it all. Hands down would recommend this place to anyone. Office staff and dentist AWEOME. Thank you

I would highly highly recommend Dental care west! Jennifer is the absolute sweetest most caring person! She stayed late to make sure I got the Prescription and everything I needed. She went above and beyond what I have ever seen. If you're looking for a new dental office you found a good one!

This place is awesome. First of all they accept medicaid which is hard to find a dentist that does. I needed a root canal and several fillings, I was able to get this done in about a month which is really not that long. Not long waits, all staff were amazing!!! Thank you dental care west!!!

Didn't even make it inside. Called to setup a new patient appointment and the lady on the phone had a terrible attitude and was very rude. Maybe the rest of the staff is friendly? I'll never know..

Very rude receptionist there named Brianna. Didn't not want to help with any info or ins questions or make an appointment. Well not go to this dentist because of how rude the front desk is every time you call in for help. They don't want to help.

I had a horrible experience at this office. This dentist was so rough and short tempered he made me feel like just another medicaid patient that was moved in and out as soon as possible. I've had continuous pain since my extractions that now I've had to make an appointment with another dentist.

Wonderful office with affordable plans for crowns. First office I have received an all porcelain crown that visibly matches my teeth. My wife and I are pleasantly surprised at the quality of work received here in Idaho.

Please don't go here. I need root canals for most of the teeth this doctor has touched that I haven't even had issues with he just said there is small cavity that need fillings. Also hubby went there to extract wisdom tooth and now needs a surgery to fix the ducts that have been ripped. Stay away if you don't want to end up in the ER.

The reason why I'm giving this place only two stars is because when I first went in, I needed some work on my teeth but couldn't afford the repair so I went to another route and had asked to get my teeth pulled, the dentist was not very kind, the day that I had went in for my teeth removal, it felt like the dentist didn't want to waste time so he was rough with the needle and wasn't very polite, during the whole procedure I had tears running down my face and was in pain, after a couple of months I had went in to get some bone Spurs to be removed they wanted me to pay 150 dollars, they didn't remove all bone Spurs so I had to suffer even more then I went back in and wanted more bone spurs to be removed from the top and they wanted me to pay them 75$ to remove two pieces of bone, when I told the lady at the front desk that I didn't have the money, she had glared and said ok well let us know when you have the money, I had went home to my husband and explained everything to him of what had happened and he had told me that it was very stupid of them to treat me like that and said to never go back! I really suggest not going to this place because not only did they made fun of me but they were very rude,Don't Go Here!!!
