Our practice accepts most traditional insurance plans. We ask that you contact us to verify acceptance of your plan. If you have any questions about insurance or billing, please speak to our Financial Coordinator. We are more than happy to file insurance claims for your reimbursement as long as you are free to choose your own dentist.
You can pay for your dental treatments with cash, check or credit/debit card which is payable at the time of treatment. We also accept most major dental insurances as well as the CareCredit Card. Dr. Grant Skalnik is a different kind of dentist. He is compassionate, gentle and caring. He believes in conservative, preventative dentistry and his goal is to increase the longevity of his patients teeth.
Dr. Grant Skalnik earned his Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1997. He then attended dental school, graduating from University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 2001 where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Dr. Skalnik completed a year-long intensive implant residency at The Foundry Dental Center in 2013. Dr. Skalnik brings his knowledge of the latest in dental technology to his practice including veneers, oral surgery, implant placement and restoration.
He grew up in Dora, Alabama and graduated from Dora High School. Dr. Skalnik played basketball, baseball and football. Dentistry was a natural fit because he is very detailed oriented and always wanted to work in a field that not only helped people but one that would allow him to truly get to know the individuals that he is serving.
Dr. Skalnik lives in Tuscaloosa with his wife, Angel, and their sons, Eli and Ethan. They are members of Valley View Baptist Church. When away from the office, Dr. Skalnik spends his free time doing just about anything that his two boys want him to do from baseball, bikes, the zoo or beach getaways (this may be more for Angel). Even though his family takes priority of most of his spare time, he manages to fit in some hunting and golf. Dr. Skalnik is an avid Alabama football fan and keeps up to date with all things Tide. If he were not a dentist, hed be an announcer for Bama football! Watch out Eli Gold!!
