Dr. Charles Wade has been practicing dentistry in South Carolina since 1983. After graduating from Lancaster High School in Lancaster, SC, he received his B.S. degree from the College of Charleston where he also played basketball. He then received his D.M.D. degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Wade served the Lancaster community until 2021 when he relocated back to the Charleston area.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Tri-County Dental Association. Dr. Wade is also the past President of the South Carolina State Board of Dentistry.
Additional outside interests for Dr. Wade include tennis, running, hunting, fishing, boating, traveling and the fine arts. Dr. Wade and his wife, Carolyn have two children, Aynsley and Drayton, a daughter-in-law, Jessica, a son-in-law, Mike, a grandson, Hampton and a granddaughter, Leighton.

Went to this dentist about a year ago and just decided I would go elsewhere, but now my girlfriend is dealing with the same issues. Spent more time in the waiting room than I did in the chair. Hygienist and dentist were nice and competent - no complaints at all about the dental care. Patients who schedule for the early morning want to get in, out, and on with their day. 45 minutes in the waiting is absurd. This isn't the oncologists office; I'm just getting my teeth cleaned. I saw a doctor quicker on my last trip to the emergency room.

Excellent service all through my visit. I walked in earlier in the day to see if they were accepting new patients & with throbbing tooth pain. The office got me in a few hours later. Addressed & fixed my problem same day & I walked out feeling great. This is a great dental office. I'm so glad I decided to stop in. Especially since my regular dentist office scheduled me out for a week away. Guess where I won't be going back to. I highly recommend this place. Dr. Hamilton & staff show concern & compassion for their client's. Thank you for taking care if me.

Great overall experience. Everything is nice and new. Never had my teeth cared for like that before. My dental hygienist Courtney was great. She was very professional and easy to talk to. Would recommend to anyone. Super convenient location too.

I had a recent a visit, and it was an over-all excellent experience. The admin staff were professional, the dental hygienist (Becca) and the doctor were both fabulous. I would certainly recommend this clinic to others.

Dr Catoe is a great dentist! I have a fear of going so he always makes me feel comfortable. He goes out of his way to let me know that feeling secure is the most important part of my visit! I would recommend this practice to anyone!

The team at Dental Care of West Ashley Is extremely professional and customer oriented. They are always friendly and always working to find the best way to support your needs and to ensure you have a great experience. I would highly recommend this team to everyone. I definitely have the best dental tech taking care of me each and every time I come in for a cleaning or a check up, I'll leave her name out for privacy concerns.
