Dr. Sonia Lee was raised in Flushing, Queens and knew at a very young age that she wanted to work in the field of medicine. During her junior high days, she volunteered at Booth Memorial Hospital. Accepted into the prestigious Townsend Harris High School at Queens College, she continued to explore her options in the medical field through different programs and internships. During this time, she met Dr. Sydney Silverman. Dr. Silverman was the former prosthodontics chairman for the New York University Dental School. Dr. Lee observed and assisted Dr. Silverman on a variety of projects and soon realized her love for dentistry.
After high school, Dr. Lee was accepted into a seven-year dental program at New York University Dental School. During dental school, she continued to work with Dr. Silverman and worked as an EMT in her free time. After school, she completed one-year residency at Long Island College Hospital.
As a practicing dentist, Dr. Lees love of education has continued. She devotes days each month to attending dental seminars and study clubs. She has attended and completed advanced education at the Dawson Academy for TMJ and full mouth rehabilitation. She has also attended and completed an advanced esthetic dental program at the esteemed Newton Fahl Academy of Brazil.
She has been a resident of the area for more than two decades, currently residing in the western Catskills with her husband. Her husband (and partner in life and business), Dr. Colin Johnston, is now retired from the practice. Dr. Lee doesnt only love her husband and dentistry she is crazy in love with her hairless cat,Karma!

Dr Lee is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. She is very good at what she does. Everyone at her office is very professional. I would recommend her to anyone . She truly cares about her patients.

I would just like to say that the doctor is wonderful she is fantastic with a needle you don't even feel it all the girls are very funny and sweet and they make going to the dentist a funny and great experience thank you ladies

My appointment is always timely and easy to make for when it is convenient for me. My hygienist, Elisa, is thoughtful, professional and responsive during my cleanings. Dr. Lee provides clear information for treatment plans and answers questions so that information is easily understood. The office staff is efficient and very helpful when it comes to questions about billing, appointments and insurance coverage
