Dr. Matthew Henry, D.D.S., F.A.G.D., attended Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where he started his pursuit in a career in dentistry to provide best-in-class oral care and to give his patients a confident and radiant smile that will last a lifetime. Dr. Henry is committed to ongoing education, training, and professional memberships. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry but truly enjoys oral surgery, sedation dentistry, complex occlusion, TMD/Chronic pain, and endodontics.
Dr. Henry is committed to providing best-in-class patient care as he engages, connects, and builds trustworthy relationships that extend beyond the chair. It is that approach that he believes sets his team apart empathy throughout the patient care journey.
When Dr. Henry is not in the office creating beautiful smiles, he enjoys spending time with his family, meditation, yoga, working out, reading, playing board games and cooking. I am a student of Soto Zen Buddhism and have taken vows at the local Zen Sangha here in Jacksonville.

Had a wonderful experience with everyone there. The Hygienist was so helpful and knowledgeable with all my questions. The Dr. Is always on top of his game and willing to work with u. Even the receptionist game me some financial advice on which way to go with my dental plan. Everyone was a big help. That's why I make an hour drive.

Dentist review for Jennifer, Nancy, Sarah, and Dr Fowler Good Day. Last week I had the first dental visit that I have had in three years. This long period was due to the same issues that we have all had over the past few years. I was not sure what to expect, but found myself delightfully pleased by the experience. The office manager, Jennifer, helped me schedule and coordinate the visit. When I arrived she greeted me and immediately put me at ease. Each person that I met including Nancy, Sarah, and Dr. Fowler were warm, expert, and explained each detail of my exam. A clear plan was made for my next visits and once again, Jennifer helped me with the coordination. I cannot speak highly enough about my experience returning to the dentist office and that's a first for me! They did not make a good first impression, nor a good second impression, nor a third. The problem is this office is very short staffed, and they really don't know if they are going to have the staff to provide the service when they schedule your visit or not, it's a gamble at best if they will see you or not. On our first visit, I waited an hour past my scheduled time, while I watched two patients with appointments after me get seen, while I was waiting an hour later. Apparently, it makes more sense to just mess up one person's schedule than have every patient's appointment run late, so they delayed my schedule in order to keep the rest of their bookings on time. I tried to find the receptionist to advise her that I can't wait any longer, only to discover she was gone and there's nobody in the front office anymore. Don't know if she took her lunch without a replacement or left for the day. Like I said, they are not staffed properly. I'm guessing that's why my appointment didn't happen after an hour and nobody bothered to let me know it was going to be a while, or see if I could reschedule, you just figure it out yourselves. Then I get a bill for my son's x-rays and cleaning, he was seen before me, and I was to have my appointment immediately following his. I have really good dental insurance, but apparently this place charges a lot more than what they are authorized to by the insurance carriers, so the patients are responsible for the balance. That would have been really helpful information to have known before I allowed my son to be seen. Even after all of this, I gave them yet another chance and had an appointment scheduled two weeks in advance. Now I get a call, sorry, our dental assistant can't make it in that day, so we're going to have to reschedule. Apparently, there's only one person that helps them, so when she has to go out to milk the cows or something, they can't see anyone. So, if you go there, realize there's a 50/50 chance at best they will actually be able to see you, and then you can expect to be billed for services that are supposed to be covered 100% by your dental insurance. It was a really bad experience, and I have cancelled all future service with them and have taken my business elsewhere. I really wish someone would have warned me like I'm warning you.

I have wonderful experience with doctor Matthew Henry. He is wonderful job and been with him for 5 years. He did amazing job with my tooth before and after was BIG different. I'm so happy with my teeth. I recommend anyone to see doctor Matthew Henry! He is best and will make u happy no matter what. I give him 10 top star

Went for my cleaning, amazing! Job well done. I am very picking about my cleaning, due too be an assistant long ago I know what cleaning should feel like. I love the knew hygienist!!

I always paid my bill to smile center on time after each visit. Then I get notified that neither Blue Cross nor Aetna dental insurance covered what I owed (since 2019). They sent me a bill and it showed that they actually owed me money. They changed their numbers around (it was still incorrect). Rather than call me, they sent it off to a collection agency. When I first started going they were great as they had a retired Navy guy who was an outstanding dentist. He sold the business to someone else (shyster) and everything changed. This place had sub-average care and below average accounting. I learned my lesson...

Such a great dentist! I have pretty bad dental anxiety but the folks here take good care of you! I have never felt uncomfortable and I feel that they are a very compassionate and knowledgeable staff.
