Dr. Kevin Nielsen grew up in the Northwest and is grateful to be back working in this area. He earned a B.S. in Biology from Ricks College in Idaho before heading to the East Coast for dental school at University of Maryland/Baltimore. After graduating in 2009, he joined Dental Care of Lacey where he enjoys providing quality dental care to patients of all ages.
Dr. Nielsen serves on an ethics board for pharmaceutical drug studies and has had additional training in the latest techniques in root canals and dental implants. One of his favorite activities in the community is connecting with local preschools to share about taking care of teeth and taking the fear out of a trip to the dentist. When not in the office, he loves spending time with his wife and three children in the great outdoors. You can find him coaching several different youth sports, leading a Boy Scout troop, and hiking and backpacking year-round.

Dr. Neilson takes the time to get to know his patients and is always so personable. I had a huge fear of the dentist prior to going to his office. He has a wonderful team, I highly recommend them.

I called almost two weeks ago and left a message on the office phone and on the dentist emergency phone because my tooth was broken it had a huge hole in it and I was in severe pain. I have been a patient but haven't been in years but that shouldn't matter. I never got a call back just left to be in pain for weeks. Had to go to another dentist office and get a root canal and a crown and they messed up my tooth! Very disappointed in this office and I feel very let down.

Dr. Neilsen and the entire staff at Dental Care of Lacey are simply AMAZING! They ensure every step of your dental health is met with the upmost care and compassion! I have severe dental anxiety, to the point of often needing sedation for even just a cleaning. Not this time, Doctor N & his Staff made my visit so easy I couldn't even tell he had just done a CROWN & TWO FILLINGS and I didn't feel a thing & I was awake the whole time!! I have more dental work needing to be done and I know I will be in the best hands with Dental Care of Lacey & Satff! Thank you for helping me get my smile back and to be able to eat comfortably again! Y'all Rock!!

Dr Kevin- I called to reschedule an hygienist appointment due to being out of town for a week and was told I have to wait 6 months to reschedule. This was also obviously very irritating to your receptionist who took my call. Can you hire another hygienist and/or put some openings on your schedule for the inevitable needs of your patients to be able to reschedule in the same month?

I had a horrible experience with Dr Kevin. He did a root canal for me and left one root in the tooth and took the other one out.I found that out from a different dentist, He took an X-ray to find the where the pain is coming from. And he gave me a letter to dr Kevin telling him that the root is still in the tooth.no care at all.I've been hurting for 5 years. Pain comes and goes. I called the office to get some help. They said you have to pay again to get it fixed. Which is another $1500. I don't recommend this office to any one.

Had an emergency chip filled during COVID. The receptionists, assistants, and hygienists were all extremely professional and friendly, as they always have been, putting me at ease. Dentist himself did good work, but monologued about his views of the stay-at-home order, politically and economically, and topped it off by commenting on how the full PPE he was supposed to wear made him sweat, but thankfully as the owner he did not have to use it. This as his regular mask had slid below his nose. Unprofessional and did not make me feel like safety (his OR mine) was his priority.

WOW WOW WOW! I have a serious fear of dentists from my experiences growing up. I have never felt safer, happier and healthier than coming to Dr. Neislon. He is so kind and considerate. Thank you to the entire staff their for holding my hand through getting past my fear of dentists. You are THE best.

My dental cleaning was scheduled March of 2020 (an appt that I had to make 6 months prior). It was cancelled due to COVID. When they finally called to reschedule they are pushing all cancelled appt due to COVID back to September rather than pushing others back. So essentially we are getting punished so that others aren't inconvenienced. I will have to wait over a year to get a cleaning. Very poor customer service.

Dr. Nielsen is an amazing dentist, he's warm and funny and great at his profession. I've been a patient for years and I'll never go anywhere else. You won't find a more caring dentist or staff.
