Dr. Bains obtained her doctorate in dental medicine from Boston University in 2004 and has been the managing doctor at Dental Care of Edmonds for 17 years. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and Washington State Dental Association. Dr. Bains feels a friendly approach focused on listening to each patient's needs is the key to providing top quality dental care with a personal touch. She enjoys getting to know her patients and families. Dr. Bains pursues the latest techniques and technology to provide healthy, beautiful smiles.
In her leisure time, she loves spending time with her family. She and her husband, who is a sleep specialist at Virginia Mason, have 2 kids, ages 12 and 14 and a golden doodle who is 5 years old. She loves the outdoors, hiking, camping, and traveling.
Hello, my name is Linh, but I go by Johnny. I am from Vietnam and fluent in Vietnamese. I recently graduated from Lake Washington Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist at Dental Care of Edmonds. Prior to the Dental Hygiene career, I was a Dental Assistant at a community health center for three years in Bellingham. I have learned that as a provider, I am able to provide better care and dental related education to my patients and my community.
In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, camping, and badminton with my wife, Joyce. I believe that preventive dentistry is the only way to optimize my patients and their families overall health. I hope to have a chance to provide care to you soon.

The dentist and her staff are friendly and professional. The office is clean and furnished with modern dental equipment. The dentist and her staff try to make you as comfortable as possible when examining your teeth and are honest with their assessments of your dental health. Although sometimes it is painful going to the dentist (drills, shots, etc.), the staff do their best to minimize such pain. I would not hesitate to recommend this office to others.

Great experience. Lynn was like having a friend to talk to. I felt very comfortable asking her to file down a little bump that my Floss got hooked on every time I flossed my two front teeth. ******

I was very impressed with the friendly staff and Dr. Bains as my new dentist. I was able to get three appointments in one week for exam, xrays, fillings and teeth cleaning, after having not seen a dentist since moving to Seattle four years ago. The office is very clean and well maintained. Great experience.

Staff is very nice and treated me well. They worked with me with my insurance and helped to come up with a reasonable care plan. I've had my fair share of bad dental experiences at past dental places and have some dental anxiety but I've been going here for the past year now and always have a good experience. They are very kind and do great work.

Rattanjit Bains DMD is why I continue to return to Dental care of Edmonds. The staff is always friendly and dentists like Bains are very thorough and top of the line as far as everything from cleaning to complete replacement of teeth to wisdom teeth removal. A root canal with Bains is as easy and nearly pain free as getting a cleaning.

Really kind staff. It was my first visit. I received great care, but it was an overwhelming amount of information. Also, the hygienist was too rough for the cleaning. I had told two prior staff that I experienced a Workplace Violence injury, to the face. One the 'third sensitive to the point of stopping', I requested that we not proceed. It made the close of the day difficult and sad. I will reschedule and try again because the ladies at the office were gentle and respectful.

As much as I don't like going to the dentist these guys have always been gentle. During the entire visit they asked if I'm ok, or if I needed anything. Very personable. There also very friendly.

I won't return to this dentist. I have had a horrible experience with a crown. The crown I have does not fit. The dentist had to do the crown twice because it didn't fit the first time. It was the wrong color and I remember the dentist telling her assistant the color was wrong and it needed to be changes on the 2nd order and this was never done. The dental assistant made the temp crown too short so my bite was totally off. My permanent crown is too low, i specifically told the doctor that the original tooth was even with my back tooth so that I could check it before she did anything to it, she said thats not whats important. She never listens to me, she brushed off what I said and now I have a permanent crown that doesn't fit and is the wrong color. My ears are constantly popping and I have extreme pressure in my sinuses. I have to find a new dentist to help me and spend more money to fix this terrible work. I've spent $800 and 3 months trying to get a basic dental procedure done and all i have to show is constant discomfort and a tooth that is the wrong color. Don't ruin your life going to this dentist, I am in constant discomfort, to the point I dont want to leave my house.
