Having grown up in Colbert, Georgia, Dr. Powers is a graduate of Clarke Central High School in Athens. He then continued his education at Claflin University and University of Louisville School of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Powers spent eight years providing dental care at Shawnee Health Care in Carbondale, Illinois. When he isn't practicing dentistry, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, traveling with his wife, and watching football and basketball.
