Dr. Ronald Peterson started Peterson Dental Care in 1978. The practice grew with the addition of Dr. Carrie Peterson in 2006. When Dr. Ron retired in 2012, we needed a more inclusive name to welcome our newest dentist, Dr. Nathan Zaffke. Thus, Dental Care Fargo was born.

Dr. Carrie graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2002. Since then, shes stayed on top of treatment trends, best practices and technological advancements to provide each and every patient with a phenomenal experience.
Shes a straight-shooter who isnt going to sell you on treatment you dont need. Dr. Carrie is efficient, relatable, and down-to-earth seriously, all the qualities you want and need in someone you trust with your smile.
When shes not at the office, Dr. Carrie explores and enjoys life with her two dogs Amos (great dane) and Portia (German shorthair pointer). She loves to travel, workout and build guitars. Trust us, shes just as cool as she sounds.
Homegrown in Fargo-Moorhead, Dr. Zaffke attended Moorhead High School (GO SPUDS!) and Concordia College (ROLL, COBBS!). He attended graduated school at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
When he isnt reading up on current trends in the dental field (seriously he reads EVERYTHING), he spends time with his wife, Jenna, and their two cats, Sly and Honey. He also enjoys watching movies and golf.
Though its not reflected in her official title, DeNae is our Director of First Impressions. Shes one of the first faces youll see when you enter our office and we can almost guarantee shell be smiling.
Sues been rocking the whole dental assistant thing since 1987 and trust us, shes got it down. Since shes been assisting for so long, we sometimes joke she can read Dr. Zaffkes mind before he says anything. Translation for you: shes efficient, dedicated, and really good at her job.
Outside the office, Sue enjoys Fargo South Jazz Band, Concert Band, the FM ACRO Team and sewing (super cute mittens are her speciality). An early-bird who gets in a 5 a.m. workout six days a week, Sue is a go-getter who spends her (limited) spare time with her husband, Greg, their two children, two stepchildren and two dogs, Miley and Buffy.
Originally from Colorado, Dawn graduated from Northwestern Colorado Colleges dental hygiene program in 1981 and has called Fargo home since 1983. Dawn recently celebrated her 30th anniversary at our office and generally speaking, is a rockstar at everything she does.
Dawn and her husband, Ron, have four children and one daughter-in-law. She just welcomed her first grandchild! In her spare time, Dawn loves going to movies, sporting events, concerts, and spending time with friends and family.
With 29 years of experience and counting, Deana is a veteran in the field of oral health. She is a native of New Rockford, N.D., she attended North Dakota State College of Sciences and graduated in 1986 with a degree in dental hygiene.
Joan has been a member of the Dental Care Fargo team since 1997. (Thats 18 years of expertise, folks). Currently, she works three days a week. When shes at the office shes a Cavitron expert. Translation: your teeth will be spotless when shes finished.
When shes not at work, Gia enjoys a wide variety of multimedia freelance work including co-founding a Fargo-Moorhead based social media startup called Tellwell. She is also an avid geocacher who enjoys travel, red wine, and blue freezies.

I have been going here for 30 years. They are so caring at the front desk as well as in the cleaning rooms/work rooms. I have told all my friends to go here, as all my family already does. Their pricing is absoutley fair & the relationships I have gained from the people there is outstanding. It seems like once a hygenist is hired there, they are there forever. I love this dentist!!

2nd time of visit today. I'd say way better than my previous dental provider. I had a pleasant experience with the Dr and staff. Dina did an excellent job cleaning my teeth, thorough and is very caring. Receptionists are also very nice! I'm very satisfied with their service. Highly recommended!

We started going to Dr. Carrie in early 2014 shortly after moving to F/M area. Everything about this dental practice is top notch. We've actually had two dental emergencies in the past 7 years. One was treated same day on a weekend and the other was "come on in right now" and was fixed within an hour. The staff members are all knowledgeable and friendly. We're so glad to have Dr. Carrie as our dentist!

Called 3 weeks ago to make an appt. The person I spoke with was rude. Then received a passive aggressive non-apology this morning via a reply to my review. Probably from the same person who originally took my call. So glad I made an appt. elsewhere. They seem very snobby.

I just finished my first appointment at Dental Care Fargo and was very satisfied with the experience! My appointment wasn't for another week, but they had a cancellation and called to see if I could come in sooner, so that was a plus. My hygienist, Missy, was very friendly and knowledgeable, informative with product recommendations and although it's hard to respond while getting your teeth cleaned, I enjoyed the conversation! Dr. Zaffke was friendly too. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist in Fargo!

This office is full of friendly, welcoming professional people. A full xray of your teeth is standard at any dentist offices before a cleaning so you can be assessed properly and be provided excellent care (and most insurances will cover it). I always have a difficult time with the xrays because my mouth is narrow, but my hygienist made this process very quick and showed me each image to involve me. I would highly recommend this dentist office.

Was told I would NEED to do a full mouth x-ray if I wanted care (a simple cleaning) there as a new patient. I am not paying over $150 for a completely unnecessary x-ray. My whole life dentists have done bitewings and never had any problems there. This place is just trying to rip people off for their money. I will take my money to a genuine office.
