At Dental Care Basking Ridge, our patients are our priority. The well-trained, kind staff meets each patients needs in one convenient location. We handle all matters of general dentistry, and offer a number of services like cosmetic dentistry, implants and root canals. Our caring staff is considerate of patients with worries or uneasiness, offering laughing gas and aiming for gentle treatment.
Dr. Hertz and his wife Amy reside in Brooklyn, New York. He is a Vermont native, while his wife is originally from North Caldwell, NJ. Dr. Hertz completed his dental training at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he earned the prestigiousDonald Greiner, D.D.S. Scholarship foracademic excellence. He completedhis residency at the Brooklyn Veterans Affairs Hospital, giving back to those who have given so much for our country. He has also donated his time and care to participants of the Special Olympics and the Mission of Mercy. Dr. Hertz has taken extensive continuing education in restorative dentistry and root canal treatment. When I am not taking care of my patients at Dental Care, I enjoy playing golf and spending time with my wife, Amy, and dog, Rusty.
Dr. Amanda Hochstein earned her D.D.S. degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She completed her specialty training in Periodontics at New York University College of Dentistry, where she was able to train under some of the most prestigious members of her field. She earned her board certification in Periodontics, and has lectured at local and national dental conferences on a wide variety of periodontal topics. She has extensive experience in all aspects of periodontal treatment, from implants to bone regeneration, to gum grafting and laser therapy. She is also a member of the board of the Northeastern Society of Periodontists. Dr. Hochstein brings to our practice the latest and most effective periodontal and implant treatments available, and strives to provide treatment that is comfortable and predictable. She is a very caring and compassionate practitioner, who prides herself on the relationships she builds with her patients.
Dr. Hochstein resides in New Jersey with her husband Greg. When she is not taking care of patients, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, and traveling. What she loves most about working at Dental Care is the warm and caring environment in which she can provide exceptional care for each patient she treats.
Dr. Mouad Gseir grew up in Jersey City. He completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University and attend New York University Dental School. After dental school he continued his studies with a Residency at at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx where he focused on root canals and restorative dentistry. Dr. Gseir still lives in Jersey City and when he isnt practicing he loves to work out, learn new languages and travel. His favorite part about being a dentist is being part of the life changing experiences that patients have when they restore their smile.

Research shows that digital x-rays use 80% less radiation than standard film x-rays. We also understand that getting x-rays can be an uncomfortable experience for some patients. With digital x-rays the sensor is smaller than the one used for traditional films. It also lacks painful, sharp edges. These small changes help ensure your comfort.

Very nice facility Friendly staff 1 stars less only for the nurse who did my teeth clean up because she was so rough on my teeth that It was literally so painful, I have never experienced that much pain in yearly clean-up appointments. Other than that everything was good.

Dr. Moe and his staff are wonderful. I am not a huge fan of any dental work but they always try to make me feel as comfortable as possible and help me with my anxiety. I highly recommend Dr. Moe and his staff, good job!

The staff was extremely helpful and understanding. They were able to work with my difficult schedule in order for me to get all my work done before a big trip I had coming up. They also helped with my specific financial situation. Dr. Hertz was great and was able to provide me with a very comfortable and pain free experience. Highly recommend!

So lucky to find this dental practice and especially Dr. Gseir. He truly improved my smile 100%. Professional friendly and obviously talented!! Nobody washes their hands with soap & water. Hand sanitizer and gloves are not a substitute for hand hygiene.

I could not be happier with your practice- I'm a very nervous dental patient and hadn't been to a dentist is 5 years. The reason I picked your practice was because I saw an ad and you offer nitrous, I thought for sure I'd need it - but I didn't. Everyone here is very kind, very patient the care is excellent. I've had everything from a cleaning to a root canal and didn't need any kind of 'help' in the sedation department. Dr Hertz is patient and gentle. His manner is very calming. When you answer the phone you say 'what can I do to make you smile today? '. I have to let you know, you definitely made me smile. I may have found you randomly with an emergency toothache ... but I'm staying because the care is wonderful

This was the best dental checkup and cleaning experience I've ever had. The dentist is patient and explains everything tk you. The hygienist is so gentle with the cleaning. I would definitely recommend going here!

I have been coming to this dental group for 3 years now. All my experiences, regardless of procedure have been great. The staff is very friendly and finding ways to work with you and your schedule. The hours they operate are extremely convenient as well. The facility itself is highly maintained , the rooms are clean and up to date. I would absolutely recommend giving them a try.

I have been going to Dental Care at Basking Ridge for many years now and I think todays experience was the best I've had! My dental hygienist Alfonso was so lovely! He was so engaging, social and super friendly! He made the whole cleaning experience a breeze and gave me great tips for keeping my teeth healthy and clean. He truly made my experience top notch! Dr. Mo also was super nice and was very kind when talking to me. Overall great experience and highly recommend!

Yaasmeen was my dental assistant for my teeth whitening and she was so amazing from start to finish! I had the best experience from making an appointment so fast and getting in and out. I've also been here before for cleanings and cavities and the whole office is amazing. I'm so glad I found them!
