Originally from Abingdon, Virginia, Dr. Mize moved with his family (he is a proud dad of 5 boys and 1 girl) to Raleigh, North Carolina over 40 years ago. He graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School and the University of North Carolina where he received his undergrad and doctorate degrees. Additionally, he has served as an Officer in the United States Navy. In his free time, Dr. Mize is a huge Carolina basketball enthusiast.
