Dental Associates is Wisconsins premier dental provider, offering your family complete dental care at 14 convenient locations. What once was a small office serving only one Milwaukee location is now a well-respected organization of over 800 team members serving 14 clinics and thousands of families throughout Eastern Wisconsin, from Green Bay to Milwaukee and down to Kenosha. Were proud to be owned by a practicing dentist, Dr. Thomas Manos. In fact, weve been owned by Dr. Manos family ever since our first clinic opened in 1974.

We truly believe that your family receives the most complete, coordinated care when you visit any of our clinics. Not only do our dentists and their teams treat each patient as if theyre family, but you wont have to be referred out for specialty dental work, should you ever need it. If your dentist finds you need a root canal, dentures, dental implants, or other specialty dental procedure, you can have it all done in the same clinic or one of our nearby clinics.

Also, you can visit your dentist in the same facility where your child visits their pediatric dentist. Then when its time, your child can visit our orthodontics department for a consult about bracesand you can do it all in the same building! Thats the Dental Associates benefit, and we know youll enjoy having all your dental care from one dental provider.

Our dentists and their teams are the best in the industry. Theyre caring, compassionate, and are dedicated to providing Wisconsin residents with the very best care. Learn about what inspires our team members in Our Calling videos or read Dentist Reviews from actual patients.

Dental Associates is led by Dr. Manos, who champions the belief that team dentistry builds the best relationships and delivers the best results for patients. We pride ourselves on being a dental home for your family, which means we have an ongoing relationship with our patients and deliver comprehensive, continuously accessible, coordinated care in a family-centered way.

Our primary provider teams include a general dentist, at least one hygienist, dental assistants, and administrative support staff. You can choose your dentist and they will provide you care at each dental visit, which allows you to develop a meaningful relationship with your dentist and their team. We also have a pediatric dentistry team that treats children younger than 12 years old. When needed, specialists in orthodontics, oral surgery, and periodontics consult and support the primary care providers patients. All it takes is a walk down the hall because, in most cases, the entire team is in the same building.

Dental Associates - General dentist in Milwaukee, WI

Our very first clinic opened in 1974 on South 16th Street in Milwaukee. Starting as a 1-chair clinic with just a few employees, weve now grown to 14 clinics with over 800 dedicated team members! We set our roots in Wisconsin, and ever since weve been dedicated to serving the families who live in this great state.

Weve always been owned by a dentist rather than a corporation. Though were the largest group dental practice in the state, what sets us apart is our ownership. When our founder and first owner Dr. John Gonis passed away in 2008, his nephew Dr. Thomas Manos took over and our clinics remained in the hands of the family and a dentist. We strongly believe we offer you the most complete, coordinated, family-centered care since our owner is a practicing dentist and devoted father and husband.

Our main office is located in Downtown Milwaukee in the historic Iron Block Building. This is the headquarters of our main operations, and were dedicated to carrying out all processes in the same state where we treat our patients.

Our 14 clinics and supporting offices employ over 800 Wisconsinites. When you visit our clinics, youre not only receiving the highest-quality dental care in the state, but youre also helping support hundreds of fellow Wisconsin residents and their families. My dental hygienist was thorough and knowledgeable, explaining every step and making sure that I was comfortable along the way. The dentist was kind and efficient and I was able to get in and out before having to go to work!

The billing department is completely incompetent. I submitted my new insurance information for a routine cleaning no less than 4 times and they still could not figure it out and continued to bill me without insurance. Even sent me a letter they were sending my past due account to collections despite me having called multiple times and being promised each time it would be taken care of. The actual dental staff was just fine, but after having scheduling and billing issues with every appointment I've had, I will be finding a different dentist that can understand how to bill insurance.

I'm giving a three for now, only because the dentists I've dealt with were great. I went in back in January, because i have periodontal I wanted to get treated, on top of numerous of cavities. I chose DA, because I figured they had everything in house and my dental savings plan had them listed. Long story short with that, they didn't accept my DSP and said they shouldnt have had them on the list. So I ended up getting theirs. No huge deal. Got my exam, diagnosis and treatment plan. Getting in for the filling appointments was easy. Was told I had a failed root canal and we could either re-do it (Dr. was honest and said the succession rate of a retreated root canal was low, so it would make better sense to pull it.) He said I had a couple cavities on my back molars that should be taken care after my perio surgery (because gums were inflamed and hard to reach). Had my consultation with the periodontist and scheduled my flap surgery no problems. That surgery went great and experienced little pain. But this is where some of my frustrations are growing. I went a week after my surgery for a "follow up" to see how my gums healing. All it was was the periodontist's assistant come in and gave me a tooth brush and told me how to brush. Didn't check my gums or anything. I asked "how are they looking? Healing alright?" And she said "oh, yeah, they look fine." And I asked about the cavity on the one molar thinking we could schedule something to get it taken care of. Was told "they'll look at it at your next cleaning". Went to the desk and she told the receptionist "get him in here in July and everything months for cleanings. "Well we're booked out until October"... after a little back and forth, she said I could be waitlisted and called or I can call and see if there's any openings. So I called in June and luckily there was an opening to get a cleaning. Went to that and the cleaning went well. It was a deeper cleaning, so it was more intense (that's not a complaint). But I had to asked about the cavity to the hygienist (almost like she didn't notice it...trust me it was noticeable). Got an opinion on it and we scheduled to get it taken care of. Hindsight too, I didn't get my pockets probe post op and to see my other pocket sizes so we could figure out which ones need root planning and scaling. Went to make my next appointment for the cavity and we figured that we should schedule out my cleanings out for the rest of the year. Couldn't get me in in September, but to check back like I did for that appointment. I know I should get a root planning and scaling done for some of my deeper pockets but I don't know if that's been listed under my treatment plan. I talked to someone this past week to see if there's an opening that popped up...."there isn't one open until March, but we have you in January." Explained that I need every three months doctors orders. I also called, because I had tooth sensitivity on one side of the mouth (part of my condition from time to time), took one of those dental mirrors to look on that side of the mouth, low and behold another cavity on the back molar that it obviously seen. I'm not complain I have cavities, that's on me. But during the cleaning, or even if I had a proper follow up on my surgery, it should have been seen. If I can see it, and I'm not a professional, they should have seen it. And now that tooth is a little achey. I am getting it looked at tomorrow to see if it needs a filling or root canal. I hope just a filling, because I feel like the root canal could have been avoided if treated back in April (when I had post op "follow up"). I do like the dentist and periodontist. The assistant and hygienist were nice people but I think more attention to detail is in order and for follow up on a surgery should be a follow up. Not a "here's a tooth brush and here's how to brush". With the scheduling being so far out, and not being able to get in for the scaling and root planning and cleaning, I feel like the time, money and progress I'm making is just being wasted and feel like it's going to digress.

It makes no sense why the cleaning and exam are two separate appointments. Went yesterday thinking my appointments were back to back only to find out after waiting 20 minutes that they were not. I didn't stay for my cleaning. They obviously don't care about anyone's time. Will definitely be finding a new dentist.

I missed 2 previous appointments at my regular dentist because my guardian refused to take me to get my tooth removed, causing my tooth pain to get worse. I scheduled an emergency tooth removal for today at 12:30pm, and again I couldn't make it because of the same situation with my guardian which made me really upset. I really appreciate the time the woman on the phone took with me and I appreciate her for at least trying to help me.
