Dental Associates, founded by Dr. Sumner Hirshberg in 1947, is the oldest group practice not only in Quincy but all of Massachusetts. Dr. Hirshberg set out to provide the practices patients with quality, state-of-the-art dental services. We continue to follow his vision.
Dr. Hootnick joined Dental Associates in 1981. He received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1979 and completed his residency at Park City Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. Dr. Hootnick has been practicing restorative dentistry for over 30 years and offers his patients state-of-the-art techniques and services (link to Services). He is widely respected on both the South and North Shores for his quality treatment.
Dr. Le specializes in periodontics and implantology. She earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Montreal (Quebec) and Certification in Periodontology from the Universite Laval (Quebec). Dr. Le holds certifications in Advanced Education in General Dentistry form the Lutheran Medical Site in Boston, MA.
Dr. Casey joins us from Braintree, MA. She attended Braintree High School and graduated magna cum laude from Saint Anselm College with a degree in Biochemistry. Dr. Casey grew up playing softball and basketball and continued her softball career through college. She earned her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
During her time at Tufts, Dr. Casey was an active volunteer at The Dimock Community Health Center in Roxbury, MA providing dental care to an underserved population. She was also a student representative for pre-dental and impression days for prospective students, as well as a volunteer for pre-clinical teaching sessions for underclassmen.
Dr. Casey has a passion for restorative dentistry and has been trained in some of the newest dental technology and materials. Her attention to detail and patient centered care allows her to create the best possible treatment options for your specific cas. Dr. Casey is excited to incorporate digital dentistry into the practice, especially our new 3shape trios scanner.
Demetra has been a valued member of our team since she graduated from The Forsyth School for Dental Hygiene in 1981. She has many long-term patients who depend on her guidance for healthy teeth and gums.
Kerry is a 2005 graduate of the Southeastern Technical Institutes certified dental assisting program. Shes been a part of the Dental Associates team for more than 10 years. She is the office jokester, making office meetings and lunch and learns fun. Kerry is a mom to a great son, whom we have watched grow up. Kerry has nicknamed herself, superstar.
Erica started working with our team at Dental Associates in 2007, after graduating from South Shore Vocational Technical High School. She initially thought she would be working part time as she pursued her passion for hairdressing. Several years later, she is OUR resident hairdresser! Erica is a valued team member, processing many of our insurance details and treatment plans.
Frank has been with Dental Associates since 1983. He is an invaluable asset to the doctors. Our lab is important to our work, and Franks eye for aesthetics and detail are a perfect complement to our full-service restorative practice.
Flora came on board in 2005, bringing a very diversified skill set to Dental Associates. She has a degree in communications from American University in Washington, D.C. and worked in sales, marketing, and public relations before settling into the dental field.
Nicole graduated with a bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She has strong ambitions to attend dental school and provide to the future of her community. A passionate bird lover, she always keeps her binoculars close by.
