Dr. Phillip Chirla is an Ohio native, born and raised near Cleveland. He graduated from North Royalton Highschool with two years of college also completed at Cleveland State University through the post-secondary enrollment program. Dr. Phil was accepted to Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine at the age of 19 where he completed his doctorate degree and was the youngest student in his class.
Upon his graduation, he was recognized by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists with the pre-doctoral student achievement award for his interest and commitment to oral implantology & implant dentistry.
In his spare time, Dr. Phil enjoys spending time with his wife, Ligia, and their small dog, Miles. He has always been active in his local church and considers his Christian faith to be an especially important part of his life. He is always trying to learn new things in the field of dentistry to perfect his craft and to provide the most efficient and effective care for his patients.
Dental Arts is proud to serve Akron and Wadsworth as well as Barberton, New Franklin, North Canton, Randolph, Easton, Rittman, Seville, Norton, Barberton, Doylestown, Copley and other surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of dental medicine along with friendly, compassionate service.
Dr. Cris is an Alumni of Liberty University, in Lynchburg, VA. He graduated in 1990 with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and Chemistry, and for the following 3 years was employed at the Cleveland Clinic.
In 1993 he was accepted at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. He more than doubled his requirements and graduated with a Scholarship Award for Best Student with Most Accomplishments.
Gentle, professional, knowledgeable, meticulous, always striving for perfection, honest, kind, caring, funny, happy These are only a few of Dr. Cris distinctive qualities, which over the years have earned the appreciation, trust and confidence of our patients!

From the very first visit, I felt like I was family. Office banter totally relaxed me. I had two implants - one very old one to be replaced and a new one. Everything went smoothly and easily with the newer one. The old one was a true challenge and Dr Philip Chirla persevered, took on the challenge and succeeded. Also I was most grateful that they sent in for Medicare (Aetna) reimbursement which saved me a ton of money. Most grateful to everyone!

I went for a cleaning here after I was told on the phone that my insurance was accepted. I later received a bill for the full amount of the service. My wife went to the other location due to being told that the wadsworth office does not take our insurance. She later received a call stating that neither office accepts our insurance, despite us both being told otherwise, and received a bill for the full amount of both services. My wife also was spoken very rudely to on the phone when the woman who called her and asked "how we planned to pay for both of our bills". Would NOT return here. Horrible communication and poorly treated.

I love Dr. Churla and the staff. They are very professional and very good with what they do. Dr. Charla taking over for the previous Dr. Didn't change the level of trust and comfort I have with them.
