I have known I wanted to be a dentist for as long as I can remember. I was inspired by my childhood dentist who made every visit personal and comfortable. My goal is to treat every patient like family, to make people feel at ease in my dental chair, and to treat each individuals needs in a customized fashion. If I can make you smile or laugh during your visit, thats an added bonus! My patients health is my number one priority. I recognize the importance of our oral health and its connection to the rest of our bodies. Because of this, I pride myself on taking a comprehensive approach to dentistry that keeps you healthy and allows you to keep your teeth for a lifetime. In addition to general dentistry, I have developed a passion for correcting misaligned teeth and improving the beauty of my patients smiles with clear aligner therapy. I have also found a love for facial aesthetics and enhancing natural beauty by incorporating Botox and filler into my practice.
I am thrilled to be a part of the Santa Fe community and am so happy to call it my new home. I am an animal lover, have a passion for traveling, and am in my happy place being in the outdoors with my family.
Dentistry is my craft, passion, and hobby. Since I was 10 years old, I have told everyone and anyone that I wanted to be a dentist. In fact, I applied to dental school when I was in high school, at age 17. I was accepted and was able to accelerate my training to become one of the youngest graduates ever from Marquette University School of Dentistry. As a professional, I spend virtually every day expanding my knowledge and perfecting my techniques. In my mind, dentistry is an intersection between several disciplines: Medicine, Engineering, and Artistry. I believe that great dentistry involves an intimate understanding of all three and how they interact. From routine fillings to complex treatment management, every patient gets my absolute best. Our goal at Dental Arts of Santa Fe is defined by quality, precision, and patient comfort.
As a southwest native, I am beyond excited to have made Santa Fe, NM my home. When I am not doing dentistry, I enjoy cooking, hanging out with my wife and animals, collecting classic cars, and enjoying the great outdoors.
Pampa is the official office greeter. She was rescued as a stray from Farmington, NM, and joined our dental family in 2018. Pampas favorite pastimes include chasing squirrels and her kitty sisters, sniffing plants, and getting belly rubs. While she loves everyone, she especially loves our loyal patients who bring her treats.

Came here to do Invisalign with Dr. Mervau. Treatment has been great so far! Decided to change my care to this office due to the level of expertise Dr. Plaza and Dr. Mervau have. I have not got a cleaning yet but I expect nothing but perfection.

Exceptional experience! I have lived in Santa fe for over a decade and finally found the right dentist. I first saw the hygienist, Shalem. She extremely informative, thorough and helpful....and GENTLE. Dr. Plaza's exam was more thorough than any I have experienced. With the help of some fancy tools, Dr. Plaza gave me a tour of my mouth. I needed some work, it was completed in a precise and direct fashion. Now, I am thinking about Invisalign with Dr. Mervau to really complete my oral health. I'm so glad I found my new dentist.

I am currently a patient at Dental Arts of Santa Fe and could not be more pleased!! Dr Mervau guided my Invisalign treatment which came out absolutely perfect and my jaw pain is totally gone. I now am under the care of Dr Plaza with some restoration work in process which will be completed soon. I am 70 and am sure I will have the best smile around when they complete all the work! Best dentists ever really believe in what is right for each patient!

Dental Arts of Santa Fe has been awesome to work with! I was in an accident and a tooth moved a little bit and they did all the proper procedures to get me looking my best. As a bonus they got me setup on Invisalign. Invisalign, has helped not only straighten my teeth more, but its helped reduce sensitivity I've always dealt with. It will help prevent future problems as well. 10/10 for service and cost. Best in the Santa Fe area!

Fantastic Dentist! Highly skilled, and exceptional bedside manner. I would recommend Dr. Jess and Dr. Jon to anyone. They do great cosmetic work, and they even do botox too! Such a great place to bring the family for their dental needs.

Had a great experience here. Brought me back right away, made me feel as comfortable as you can possibly be at the dentist. Dr. Plaza did a great job explaining everything to me in a way I could understand. I'll definitely be coming back long term and will be recommending them to all of my friends.

Great doctors and great service! I've been seeing Dr. Plaza and Dr. Mervau for a while and I always leave happy and with perfect teeth! Dr. Mervau has also started doing botox on me and I love it. Happy to be a patient!

Dr. Mervau and Dr. Plaza are the best! They took the time to not only tell me what treatment I needed, but also to explain why as well. Hands down best experience I have had at a dentist! Will be having the entire family coming to Dental Arts of Santa Fe from now on.

I felt so comfortable with Dr. Plaza and Dr. Mervau. The dentist took the time to explain what they saw during the exam. The office seems to have a very conservative approach. They were focused on maintaining as much natural tooth structure as possible and preventing any further treatment. It is a relief to have found a team I trust with all my dental needs.
