Dr. Gizelle Richard opened her doors in 1986. The practice was originally located in the former Village Aurora Mall, but in 2000, she built what is now the current office on General DeGaulle Drive in Algiers.
Fast forward to 2018, when Dental Arts of New Orleans welcomed Dr. Brent Benoit to the practice. Dr. Benoit is a board certified orthodontist who is trained in both traditional braces and Invisalign for adults and children.

We are a full-service general dentistry and orthodontic practice for the entire family. I have been a patient here for over 20 years. I love what Dr. Richard has done with my entire dental care. All the referrals she recommended have been excellent. I highly recommend you pay them a visit if you are looking for a dentist.

After a breaking my front tooth and having a forty five year old crown on the other front tooth Dr. Richard told me it was time for new crowns on both teeth. She told me that she would do two root canals and put on two temporary crowns which would then be replaced by the permanent crowns in a couple of weeks. I don't know how she did it but she put the broken tooth back together so that we could get an impression for the permanent crowns and we picked a day for the root canals. Everyone I spoke to told me their "horror story" about roots canals. From one day of pain to about a week of discomfort I guess I heard about what the parameters of suffering would be for my procedure. Folks, I had no pain whatsoever. I had a luncheon meeting that I was quickly excused from which no one thought I would make. Boy were my friends surprised when I walked in pain free with beautiful teeth! Dr. Richard and Caroline were great. The way they wouldn't stop measuring and refitting until everything was perfect was very impressive. Everyone I have ever encountered at this office has always done a great job. Timely, efficient, skillful and caring. I was really prepared for a tough experience but it was completely pain free! My only anxiety was when I mistook the gentle background music for Gino Vanelli when it was Peter Frampton. I'm telling you even their background music is perfect and relaxing. If you haven't been to the dentist lately or if you had an unpleasant experience somewhere give Dental Arts a visit. From top to bottom this is the best dental office you will find and they are constantly working to make it better!

My kids LOVE this place, which really makes me love it as well! They never put up a fight to go. Everyone is extremely friendly and excellent with kids! I have a seven, five and three year old that have all been coming here since they were two. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Dental Arts is a hidden gem. I initially went for Invisalign but ended up having general dental work done. I'm impressed by the thoroughness of oral exams, treatment plans, the knowledge Dr. Brent, Dr. Gabrielle, and the dental assistants possess, and the overall feeling of comfort and kindness that begins the moment you walk in. Highly recommend!

I have been a patient with this practice since 1986. I used to dread going to the dentist, but Dental Arts makes the experience very pleasant. Everyone on staff greets me with a smile and they are always very professional and helpful. They have always worked me in for any dental emergencies. I love this practice and all the employees. I could not imagine going any other place for my dental care.

When my long time dentist retired my sister who was already a patient of Dr. Richards suggested I give her a try. That was over 15 years ago what a great refferal - We have been through braces for the second time, fillings, root canals, implants, and numerous chronic sinus infections. She has always taken excellent care of me and when the problem was not her expertise she pointed me in the right direction and was there to follow up. In a world of inconsistency and doubt once you walk into Dental Arts you know you have made the right choice. I would go no where else, I have been totally spoiled by the best.

Dr. Richard has improved the smile of not just me and my whole family but everyone I've ever sent to see her. I personally needed major reconstruction after years of not having terrible grinding issues addressed. Dr. Richard has given me back my smile and ability to sleep without clenching jaw pain. Now I even get my botox there with results I didn't know were possible. My mother went without a broken crown due to the projected cost of fixing incorrectly placed vaneers years ago. Dr. Richard fixed my mom's smile for 1/3 of the cost and now "Grammy" isn't embarrassed to smile! My 7 year old son also loves going to the dentist because of the amazing staff! I have a friend calling this morning after suffering 2 weeks, seeing 2 other dentists and still unable to get an answer. I am grateful to share this gem with him and recomend Dental Arts of New Orleans to everyone!

From the moment you walk into Dental Arts of New Orleans you immediately know this is not your average dentist office. Their facility and staff are all very warm and welcoming! They make it a priority to go out of their way to ensure your dental experience is a comfortable and positive one - especially for someone like myself who is generally nervous about going to the dentist in general. I have been going there for about a year now and have been seen by both Dr. Gizelle and Dr. Gabrielle - they are both GREAT - calming, detail oriented, and caring. I have been a resident of New Orleans, both on the West Bank in Algiers and on St. Charles Avenue. For more than 30 years Dr. Gizelle Richard has been my family's dentist expertly treating my wife, myself, and our three children with expertise and a caring attitude through out the many decades. We continue to receive wonderful care both from the dental hygienist, all dental surgery, and using their orthodontist for my children. I highly recommend Dental Arts with no reservations for all of your dental needs backed up by decades of their caring, expert experience in all phases of dentistry. It's well worth even crossing the Crescent City Connection to receive their expert care while living on the East Bank.
