He completed his undergraduate degree at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, where he excelled academically graduating magna cum laude. He then decided to continue his schooling at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, New Jersey, where he received his doctorate of dental medicine. Afterward, he completed his residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.
Dr. Moawad combines the practice of dentistry with the newest technologies available. He is a certified provider of Invisalign, an innovative form of orthodontics involving nearly invisible aligners. He has a sedation permit from the state of New Jersey to practice sedation dentistry in addition to being certified to administer Botox.
Ever since he was in school, Dr. Moawad has enjoyed giving back to his community through multiple volunteer programs including educating Newark public school children about the importance of oral care and providing free dental care for them through the American Dental Associations Give Kids a Smile program. In addition, he is an active member of his church and community where he tutors high school children in chemistry and math.

Had cavities filled here and had problems with all 3, 1 of which I had to have a root canal performed (which I definitely did not get done here). You couldn't pay me to go back.

My visit primarily was with Adele the hygienists. Adele`s patients and perseverance is nothing short remarkable. Dr Mike completed the visit with his extensive exam. The entire visit was a very positive experience.

Best dentist anywhere. My appointments are always on time, the receptionist are caring and competent. The hygienist are kind and do a spectacular job. Dr. Mike is a great guy and straight shooter. I highly recommend this practice!

Dr Moawad is amazing! I had the in office Laser Cleaning. This was my first whitening and I was blown away with my results. They did such an amazing job. All his staff is very nice and professional. I 100% recommend his office to any one who wants a brighter smile. Thank you!!!

Dr. Moawad and his staff are the BEST in the Dental Industry and so grateful to have them in my backyard in Hoboken NJ. They took care of my 4 year old daughter and 17month old son with the upmost patients and made them feel so comfortable.
