Jane is originally from Thailand and has been a hygienist since 2017. Outside of work, she likes spending time at home with her daughter, husband and dog. She is excited to help her patients achieve good oral hygiene and beautiful smiles and continues to be an awesome leader for her hygiene team!
Alyssa has been a dental assistant for 3 years. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, friends and family. Her typical weekend is spent running, going to a winery or curled up watching true crime! Her favorite part about working with us is getting to meet and connect with all of our patients!
Mallory has been an assistant for 6 years and became a Qualified Dental Assistant in October 2020. She looks forward to expanding her career and continuing to learn new things. She is passionate about being able to help patients feel happy and healthy about their teeth!
Mallory lives in Pennsylvania with her boyfriend and 4 year old son who always keep her busy! She loves spending time with family, and her latest adventure is checking out local breweries for hard ciders.
Kirsten has been in the dental field for 6 years and started out as a sterilization technician, then turned Dental Assistant and now is our Financial Treatment Coordinator! Along with managing the admin team and helping out in the back when needed, she loves interacting with all of our patients when they come in to see us. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her dog April. On the weekends you'll find her shopping around Downtown Frederick and exploring new Thai restaurants. She is excited to help you plan your next dental journey!
Once the scan is complete, the images are pieced together to create a single 3D image that is displayed almost instantly on a computer monitor. With CBCT panorax images, we can diagnose a variety of different issues, determine your need for a bone graft, and determine optimal implant placement.
An intraoral scanner allows us to take a digital impression of your teeth and gums. We use a top-of-the-line device known as the TRIOS scanner. This device takes hundreds of photos per second to produce a detailed, colored, and three-dimensional visualization of your mouth. Digital impressions have revolutionized the way we place dental implants. It can also give us a detailed look at minor instances of tooth decay and gum disease.
Digital impressions provide an alternative to messy, uncomfortable impression putty. Instead, we use an intraoral wand to take an impression of your teeth and gums. These impressions are quick and accurate, preventing the need for multiple impressions. This can also aid in the creation of much more accurate dental restorations. Additionally, digital impressions have greatly improved the patient experience.
A porcelain oven, also called a porcelain furnace, is a technology that enables us to create a variety of different natural-looking restorations including crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays, and bridges. After your restoration has been milled, it is placed inside of the porcelain oven. The oven heats up to very high temperatures, which fuses the particles inside the porcelain or ceramic. This creates a very strong restoration.
To keep both our team and patients safe, we have added the Safe-T-Shield to our practice. By creating a broad negative pressure zone directly above the oral cavity, the Safe-T-Shield provides more powerful evacuation of patient exhalation than single-point oral suction devices. The Shield also provides an absolute barrier to droplet and bioburden ejection while still allowing comfortable access to treat our patients.

I had one of the best dental experiences Ive ever had at dental arts. First the most Thorough exam I have ever had, next even though my appointment was long and tedious I felt like I got absolutely the best possible care and everything that could have been done for my comfort was taken care of. Dr. Oaks and his staff are absolutely state of the art in their technical work while also being extremely caring and sensitive to your needs. A great office all the way around! Update: Today I had a fantastic cleaning with Jane she was meticulously careful with my teeth and they have never looked so good!!!

I highly recommend this dental practice! I called at 8:00am with a dental issue and was seen by 10:30am. The staff is amazing. Dr. Oakes takes the time to explain everything that is going on and makes you feel at ease.

I would highly recommend Dental Arts of Frederick. Dr. Oakes, and Office Manager Kari are just simply the best as well as the rest of their staff. Always so friendly, and very professional. I never feel rushed and they always answer all my questions. I have been going there since the practice opened approximately 15 years ago. Prior to that, my job required me to move around the country a lot and I therefore had many dentists over the years. Dr.Oakes is by far the best I ever had.
