I went here thinking it had great reviews and would be a good experience but I was way off. The inside is definitely very different and not your typical office setting, which was okay. The employees were on their cell phones at the desk and just walking around the office on personal phones. Not a professional atmosphere. Receptionist wasn't friendly in the slightest. My appointment was at 2 and I had x-rays then was left waiting in the room for 45 minutes with absolutely nothing. No work was done. Just sat there and wasted my time. I would say it didn't appear the cleanest and I just got up and left. Ive never experienced a dentist office like this and not in a good way. Wouldn't recommend.

I had seen Dr Theisen at All About Smiles years ago and had a wonderful experience. I hate the dentist. After having braces for years and my teeth rapidly declining after having my son, they became extremely sensitive and decayed very fast. When I saw him there, he was extremely patient and accommodating to my anxieties and pains. When I went to call to schedule another appointment a few months later, he no longer worked there. Because of this, I hadn't seen a dentist in years. To my surprise, I scheduled my step daughter for an appointment at Dental Arts of Erie to find he is the doctor at this establishment! He is an incredibly laid back, understanding, nonjudgmental dentist. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Dr. T is the best dentist I've ever been to and I recommend his office to anyone who is in need of a new dentist or unhappy with their current dentist. I genuinely look forward to my appointments at his office because they're painless and he always provides a good laugh. :)

I had an awesome experience today going to Dental Arts of Erie for a second opinion on some work done by another area dentist. Dr. Tim's staff were so friendly and helpful, I immediately felt at ease and very comfortable. Office does not look and feel like a typical dentist office, very modern and comfortable. First time meeting Dr. Tim, he came out to the waiting room to chat for a few minutes before I went back. He actually spoke with me and seemed to genuinely care about me. Once in the chair, he literally explains everything and I mean everything, he goes out of his way to make sure that you know what is happening, how long it may take, and how much pain you could feel...ummm....none in my case. Need a few filings rather than crowns. I am definitely coming back. Dr. Tim is extremely caring; he takes your mind off of what can be a very unpleasant subject for most people. I don't have a ton of dental anxiety but felt reassured anyway. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great dentist. Finally a dentist who listens to you!

I would give a zero if possible, this was the strangest Dr's office I've ever been to, very unprofessional, and I can't agree with these other reviews. I needed a root canal, which the website said the Dr provided, and also there were nothing but good reviews posted, so I made an appointment and went to see him. I was immediately struck at how unusual it all was there, but was willing to overlook it all if he could do the procedure, but it turns out he doesn't actually do that procedure, but has a "friend" who comes in and uses the equipment and does the procedure instead. They took an x-ray, I paid for it, and he sent me on my way saying he would call in a few days after conferring with his friend...and then I never heard from him again. That would have been the end of this strange experience but several weeks later my insurance provider needed paperwork related to my visit there, so I called and was told what I needed would be sent to me right away. After a few weeks, when the paperwork did not arrive I called the office to ask why, but there was no answer- I called multiple times every day for a MONTH, and no one answered the phone. The call eventually would go to the Dr's voice-mail box, which was full. So, I finally went to the office to see if they had gone out of business. Ran into the dr himself in the parking lot, but he turned and walked away from me as soon as he figured out I was unhappy with him. Went inside to an equally disinterested receptionist and there was the paperwork I needed, in an addressed envelope, laying on the desk. No one bothered to put a stamp on it and send it- for over a month... I would not recommend this business based on my experience.

The best dentist I've ever been to, and I've been to a dozen. Dentists have always blamed me for my terrible teeth despite how rigorously I care for them. I usually feel judged and humiliated when I go, but Dr. Theisen went above and beyond to make me comfortable. He gave me a realistic, tooth-by-tooth assessment and explained what was going on in each area, what I've done well, and how I can protect my teeth in the future. He even explained that he could do a whitening procedure which other dentists have said isn't possible due to all my dental work--apparently, he paints around the dental work instead of slathering the whitener on top. On top of that, he's a genuinely fun person to be around and a great conversationalist. I literally forgot I was at the dentist. I especially appreciated how thoroughly he understands his craft (he knows a lot about other disciplines, too!) and how good he is at explaining the science behind tooth care in a way that's neither inaccessible nor patronizing. He told me what he was going to do in my mouth before he did it, and then he gave me the most thorough, gentle cleaning I've ever received. He has a very trauma-informed approach to care. If you hate going to the dentist or have had a bad experience in the past, this is the place to go. Not only did he do a great job, but I'm actually looking forward to getting more work done here. Yes, looking forward to a dental appointment. That's beyond outstanding care.

Dr Theisen is hands down the best dentist I have been to. The office is very relaxed and welcoming, does not feel clinical at all. He is very personable when he's working with you. You can see the care and passion he takes with every procedure. I have had 4 crowns done so far and they're so close to natural looking that you can't even tell. 10/10 would recommend.

I've had an extreme fear of dentists for most of my life after a few bad experiences growing up. Luckily, I found Dental Arts of Erie when I was having pain in one of my molars. Dr. Tim and his staff are tremendous, very friendly, professional and most importantly to me, EMPATHIC regarding my anxiety and fear. It turns out that I needed a root canal and I was terrified to hear that. I had always heard that root canals were extremely painful and that you should avoid them if possible. I put aside my fears mainly because of Dr. Tim's calming demeanor and words of encouragement. He told me that root canals were his favorite procedure to do and that it doesn't hurt anywhere near what people think. I was in pain and needed to do something so I decided to go through it the procedure. The doctor was right, I hardly felt anything at all. I never felt the Novocaine injections either. I've had dentists jab the needle into my gums not caring if they hurt you or not but Dr. Tim went so slow that I never felt a thing. During the procedure he needed to use a diluted bleach spray to clean out the area and a few drops landed on the black FireHouse shirt that I was wearing, leaving bleached marks. He was very apologetic saying sorry over and over again. I told him it was okay not to worry about it. He insisted on buying me a FireHouse CD to make up for bleaching my shirt. How many dentists would do that? None! I would highly recommend Dental Arts of Erie to anyone who has anxiety or fear about going to a dentist. They will treat you with care and compassion. I'm so happy that I found this great, caring dentist.

The environment is very friendly and the cost is very affordable. I've had bad teeth for a while now and they were able to reconstruct several of my teeth and give me more confidence in my smile again!

This is hands down the best dental office I've been to, from walking in to walking out you feel welcomed and heard. I started going here because I needed to find a new dentist due to last experience and I'm so grateful I found his office. I was nervous at first to get a filling but when I say you feel nothing, you really feel nothing. I didn't think it was possible to get a numbing shot and not feel it but you feel nothing with Dr.T Everyone there makes you feel like they have known you for a lifetime, I always feel calm and at ease now when I have an appointment. It only takes 1 good experience to change how you think about things and I'm glad my experience was with him and his awesome assistant!

Dr. Theisen is by far the best dentist I've ever had. I don't usually leave google reviews for doctors or really anything, but I feel like this practice, dental arts of Erie Deserves it. Dr. Tyson has changed my life in terms of my smile confidence and he's just an all-around Nice person , and I'm not lying when I say this, I feel absolutely nothing when he gives injections and I didn't even think that was possible! Anyway, if you're in search of a new dentist or yours is nearing retirement come see Dr. T it's a great atmosphere good people and Actually Enjoyable. Who says this about the dentist? Great music great people relaxed atmosphere and I will never switch dentists again!

I've been having problems finding a replacement dentist. I came across Dr T through a chance encounter. I have only had two other dentists and he is way better than both of them. I have no problem recommending him to anyone. I have yet to have any issues with pain with any crowns or bridges that I have had recently that also include root canals. A guy can definitely see myself having a drink with.
