Dr. Rubina Ali graduated from Boston University in 2004. She founded Dental Arts of Avon in 2005 and has been practicing at this location since then. She believes in conservative dentistry, takes the time to explain all treatment options to her patients, and has a lot of experience dealing with younger patients, such as children and adolescents. A patients trust, comfort, and dental health are her first priority. Her ultimate goal for her patients is a lifetime of beautiful, healthy teeth and gums. Dr. Ali always takes the time to hear patients concerns and answer questions, because what they have to say is important to her.
Dr. Sophia Beason-Brown received her undergraduate studies in pre-med biology in Tulsa, OK and graduated from Howard University in Washington, D.C. with her Doctor of Dental Surgery. Prior to procuring Simsbury Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Beason-Brown completed a pediatric dental fellowship with the Childrens Hospital in Hartford CT, as well as two years general practice residency at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. While there she was the chief resident and recipient of the prestigious oral surgery award. She is dedicated to the most current advancements in dentistry and maintains a strong commitment to continuing education.
Among the many distinguishing qualities of Dr. Beason-Brown, as mentioned by team and patients alike, are her gentleness, attention to detail, her affable disposition, and impeccable bedside manner. She takes great pride and joy in providing exceptional dentistry in a caring and pleasant environment. Dr. Beason-Brown provides an array of dental services including treatment of gum disease, surgical placement of implants, Invisalign, TMJ therapy, sleep apnea treatment, pediatric dentistry, and cosmetic dental services. She is a professional member of the national and state dental associations, as well as multiple study clubs. Her goal is to provide exceptional service in a comfortable atmosphere.
When Dr. Beason-Brown is not practicing her passion of cosmetic dentistry, she spends most of her time with her husband, three children, and her German Spitz dog. She is an avid reader, loves tennis, singing, and playing the guitar.

What a wonderful experience at Dental Arts of Avon this past Monday ! I was greeted by a smile upon my entrance by a lovely woman at reception and Daniel - Dental Hygienist created a wonderful first experience for my 2 - year old who has NEVER seen a dental office. Daniel was polite, creative, patient and transparent with both my children. I'm elated with the experience received and HIGHLY recommend for all dental needs for families !!!!!!

Be aware of this place. I have been taking my kids for a couple of years there and during 2020 and beginning of 2021 they said my kids had some cavities and needed work being done. We did the work as suggested by the dentist (Rubina Ali). When we went for the scheduled cleaning November 2021 again the dentist (Rubina Ali) said that both my kids had many cavities, 5 for my son and 3 for my daughter. I got very skeptical by this suggestion and didn't schedule any more work to be done by this place. Instead, I looked for other dentist to get my kids too. The new dentist after cleaning and doing x-rays said their teeth are looking great and no cavities at all. I didn't say to the new dentist what the old dentist said about cavities as I wanted an unbiased opinion from the new dentist. The insurance we carry covers 100% of worked done for cavities, but that is no reason for any dentist out there to schedule unneeded work to be done on 14-16 years old destroying their teeth a such young age. Parents be aware of this unethical place. They do not deserve any stars at all they shouldn't be in business with such unethical procedures, but you need to rate them in order to post a review.

Everyone here is so kind and professional. I have been coming here for years and I've never had less than a 5-Star experience. Jackie at the front desk is always very helpful and accomodating in setting the appointments and updating me on earlier availabilities whenever possible. For my most recent visit, the hygienist, I believe his name was Daniel, was highly professional and friendly; I couldn't help but be impressed by his superb chairside manner. Dr. Ali runs a tight ship and I always come here knowing I'm in good hands. 2021 update: had a couple wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Brown is a great communicator with a gentle hand. Jackie is great, as always.

I had a great time as I always do!! The hygienist was pleasant and relatable in conversation but not so much that you feel like you have to talk a lot during a cleaning lol My dentist, Dr. Beason Brown, always stops in to check on my current status as I am a long time patient with much work in the past and future. No matter how many times I've asked (about a procedure I've been putting off) they always run the treatment breakdown and insurance coverage with me and email it so I have time to go over it in office and on my own. I started coming to see her because it was by my job at the time. I now work much further away and still see her because they are just that good! Cleanings and dental work are gentle considering how much other places have hurt me, they're honest and to the point about my options, and from check in to check out everyone I interact with has an amazing personality!!

Fantastic staff! The Dental Hygienists are friendly, calming and informative, detailing for kids, teens (and adults), what to expect as they work on your teeth. The Doctors are excellent. Dental Arts of Avon certainly places patient comfort first and foremost. Our family has been going to them for several years. Highly recommend!
