They need to work on their people skills. Dr Choi was very cold during my exam, she did not interact with me at all beyond a brief "hello". My cleaning itself was fine, however they will try to upsell you their deep cleaning service. Overall not a great experience, I would choose one of the many other dental offices in the area.

I had an appointment for a crown today. The whole procedure was painless and Dr. Dobrin had a lot of drilling to do, I felt nothing. The office staff is always so pleasant, office is nice and clean. I highly recommend Dental Arts.

Run away, this practice is very shady. I haven't had a cavity or dental issues in like 20 years. I started seeing them and suddenly I need a "deep cleaning", which was very surprising. I eventually decided to trust them and went through with it, despite it seeming like a money grab. The way they approached this and communicated made me a little uneasy and so I decided to switch to another local Somerville dental practice. What do you know? My teeth and gums are fine and no special "periodontal cleanings" are needed. 1.5 years after my last cleaning from them I receive a bill in the mail saying I have an overdue balance that will be sent to collections. They blamed a billing error on their part for sending me my very first bill 1.5 years later. I was also very confused as cleanings are covered 100% by my insurance. Apparently since I did a deep clean with them I will forever need a special cleaning which is of course more expensive and not fully covered by insurance. None of this was explained earlier on. I'm glad I switched practices, they seem to be doing some shady things and also have some very questionable billing practices. Other than this, the office itself was clean, they sent text message reminders which was convenient, and my hygienist was always pretty good. I don't think I ever saw a dentist for more than 1 minute in any visit to judge them.

I had some difficult situations around scheduling appointments and insurance, and they handled it well. Most notably, I had two appointments for a deep cleaning for different days, but then a hygienist was sick and they had to reschedule one. The only day that worked, because I was about to travel for the holidays, was on the same day as the other. So I did that... and then my insurance only covered one because they were on the same day (for what reason, I cannot fathom, it would have worked perfectly fine to do it all in one sitting). Anyhow, they understood how my insurance worked, explained it to me up front, and then since it wasn't my choice to put the appointments on the same day, they charged me *as if* my insurance covered it.

3/5 of my fillings done here have fallen out. This place is "Fine" on the surface but is full of chance: Everything highly depends on who you get and there seems to be a higher turnover as I had worked with about 4 dentists in the ~3-4 years I went there for my regular cleanings and occasional fillings. One instance comes to mind when the dentist and the hygienist argued in front of me over which width to use for a cap or whatever goes under the fake tooth in a root canal. This argument quickly gained volume and ferocity but landed on a size and to be fair that's probably one of the more quality things I got there but the whole experience was surreal and unprofessional. While I have had one positive experience there (after one of my fillings came out and they immediately saw me and took care of things), nothing can excuse questionable chance of quality service and lack of consistency.

I came in for an appointment and I found the attitude of the hygienist to be incredibly cold and awful. Going in to the dentist is already a painful, unpleasant experience, and the attitude of the hygienist, Bernadette, was incredibly negative. She was constantly shaking her head at me as she performed the procedure. I have never had an experience like this before---I've gotten many procedures in the past---and I never had someone behave like this and make me feel so negative during a dental procedure in my lifetime. I would highly recommend going somewhere else for dental work. I have also heard from a friend who came here once that the office staff is frequently rude as well, particularly the guy at the front desk who is impatient. The lack of compassion here, from my personal experience, is quite apparent. RUN AWAY! Go somewhere where you will be treated like a human being!

I'm not sure where to begin with this place. Yikes is the first word that comes to mind. I had an appointment for 2 PM confirmed via phone call after I originally changed my appointment. When I arrived I was told my appointment was at one. I was then left to stand for twenty minutes with no communication from the man and women at the front desk. A man who was clearly from another country with a language barrier came in to ask If his insurance was accepted and if not that insurances they took. The women was extremely rude and then made fun of him to her coworker when he left. Zero compassion or kindness. While I was standing there the female receptionist let in people who didn't have appointments to use the bathroom. They came in loud and screaming, clearly on drugs. One of the ladies proceeded to take her mask off to badger a patient about watching her baby while she went to the bathroom.. all while BOTH receptionists did nothing.. STILL shocked I waited patiently. Finally someone came to me and said I couldn't be seen. After I had taken work off. This place is a disaster. I think I dodged a bullet.

I was experiencing some severe pain in my jaw and they were able to see me within 20 min of my calling. The dentist explained the issue in clear and simple terms without being condescending. He put my worries to ease and helped me understand next steps. The best dental experience I've had.

Tried this place for this first time after moving to Boston. Would highly recommend going somewhere else. Although the woman who cleaned my teeth was very friendly and knowledgeable, the dentist told me (after looking in my mouth for two seconds) that I had a cavity and needed a follow up appointment immediately or I would need a root canal. Went to my normal dentist back home and they confirmed there was nothing wrong. Sketchy place here.
