Matthew T. Scaffa, DDS Dr. Matthew Thomas Scaffa graduated from New York University in 1985 with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) and has been working as a dentist on Staten Island, NY, for nearly 30 years. Before attending dental school, he completed his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at Stony Brook University. To ensure that he keeps abreast of emerging technologies and procedures in dentistry, Dr. Scaffa annually averages about 20 Continuing Education (CE) units. In addition, he is a member of the American Dental Association and the 2nd District Dental Society. To provide the highest possible level of care to his patients, he has received advanced training in implant dentistry, Invisalign and Lumineers cosmetic veneers.
Dr. Scaffa opened his practice on Richmond Avenue, Staten Island, NY, in 1985, moved his practice to a larger office at 127 Foster Road, Staten Island, NY, in 1988 and then moved for the final time to an even larger office and his current location (112 Foster Road, Staten Island, NY) in 2000. He continually seeks to provide professional and high-quality dental care for his patients. In doing so, he hopes to always over-deliver for his patients so that they will have healthy and beautiful smiles.
Dr. Scaffas family is extremely important to him. He has been blessed with three sons and his wonderful wife. They have been and will always be his driving force and his strength. One of Dr. Scaffas hobbies is SCUBA diving, and he has earned his PADI certification for SCUBA.
Kristin is a registered dental hygienist who has been working with Dr. Matthew Scaffa for over tenyears. Kristin has been a constant referral source of family and friends to this office since she first started with Dr. Matthew Scaffa. She strives to provide the best cleanings for our patients, and many patients commend her on giving them the best cleaning they have ever had! Every October, you can see Kristin participate in the 37-mile AVONWalk to End Breast Cancer.
For over 25 years, Donna has worked at our practice as a registered dental assistant and front desk receptionist. She strives to help our patients keep their mouths healthy and bright. For the entirety of her time at Dr. Matthew Scaffas office, she has noticed the unrelenting attention our team gives to our patients. It has been wonderful for her to see Dr. Scaffas lifelong patients grow with this practice patients that were children when they first started coming to our practice are now parents themselves. Donna is proud to work at Dr. Matthew Scaffas office and be friends with many of his patients. She really enjoys seeing and greeting the patients that she has watched grow up. Donna is married to her husband, Matthew, and they have three children, Christopher, Dominic and Anthony. In her free time, she enjoys drawing/coloring and writing poems and short stories.

Dr. Scaffa is absolutely worthy of 10 stars! The doctor, his office manager, hygienists and nursing staff are professional, courteous, respectful and very welcoming to a patient. The office is lovely and the equipment is state of the art and complements how skilled Dr. Scaffa is. The entire experience at Dental Arts Concept was so wonderful, I literally needed to pinch myself. I would recommend Dr. Scaffa without any hesitation. He has taken care of my parents as well and I am so pleased to have found such a skilled, wonderful doctor who put me at ease from the very first moment! Dr. Scaffa addressed all of my concerns and repaired my teeth beautifully. I felt like I knew them for years and I am smiling and so are my teeth! Go and see the doc, you will be pleased .

Great Dental office with very nice doctors and staff. Feels like home when you walk in and they always do a great job to take care of your teeth. Did a whitening this time and I actually went up an entire shade immediately after the session!

I haven't gone to the dentist in a long while - my previous dentist retired and the search for a new dentist during Covid was less than ideal. That being said, I'm thrilled I found this office. This is a customer oriented business. That means - they are friendly, knowledgeable, transparent and punctual. Qualities I appreciate. I had an incredibly patient and sweet hygienist named Arianna (apologies if I didn't spell it correctly). She was thorough and made my time at the office pleasant. I also met Dr. Scafa. They were both gentle and made me feel less nervous. Dr. Scafa was very lively (keeps your interest by sharing his own real life experiences) and professional. The office staff was polite and respectful as well. Side note - they do try to tell you about all of the services they provide and you, of course, have the option to say yes or no. As I have a heavy sales background, I can appreciate their efforts. I also believe it's great to know that they have so many services, a one stop shop for all things dental. This was my first visit - I'll update if anything changes but so far so amazing. My search is over - or at least until Dr. Scafa retires. :) I will be recommending this practice. Thanks team!
