I am a proud native of Evanston, and it gives me great pleasure to work in the community that was so instrumental in making me the doctor I am today. Pediatric dentistry allows me the opportunity to foster lasting relationships with each child and parent I meet, and to deliver quality care that is tailored specifically for the patient. Update!!!: My daughter has her braces and Dr. Melvin definitely made the right decision by making up wait! The treatment plan was less expensive and I love the staff so far! My daughter has been a patient here for over 3 years. We knew she needed braces and agreed on a new treatment plan and date for her to receive the braces. My daughter is 10, and has been missing her front tooth for over two years now, so needless to say she was so excited to begin the process of repairing her smile. I spoke with Diana regarding payment, and mentioned to her that we would be moving to another state soon, and she took it upon herself to mention it to Dr. Melvin. Dr. Melvin called me 25 mins before our appointment explaining that he would rather my daughter start treatment in the state we are moving to, but we would discuss further once I arrived. Once I arrived, he again stated that he wanted her to begin treatment in the state we were moving to. I explained to him that I didn't want to start over with another office, but he was "previous experience " that we wouldn't bring her back for future appointments and recommended us to someone in the new state. I wanted to move forward with braces, and use the recommendation for all future appointments, but he refused to do so. I feel like the last 3+ years have been a complete waste of time and money, and I would not recommend this office to anyone. Life happens, people move for many different reasons, even during dental treatment. I think he should have kept our original plan, and kept the same confidence in the Orthodontist he recommended for future appointments.

Dr. Melvin , thank you !!!!!!! I wrote a review before about how amazing Dental Art Specialists are but I feel I need to update my review . My daughter Briana started with Dr. Melvin and Dr. Jaz many years ago , she is still a patient . Briana passed through probably all the different of stages of ortho treatments , I can't express how satisfied and glad I am as a parent to know that Dr. Melvin is looking out for her best interest . She is currently with a gold chain in her mouth that helps her bring down her permanent teeth , thanks to Dr. Melvin's recommendation to have the surgery done . What a great decision and results are in . Through the years I was always worried for my daughter teeth development and jaw but now I feel so good that everything is in its position and looking healthy . Her smile is amazing , she is so happy and we all see an amazing results . The pictures of before and after speak for themselves !!! Thank you Dr. Melvin , Briana consider you as her favorite doctor , she misses Dr. Jaz too , and the staff that are always helping her , they are so nice , kind , and friendly . That's an example how a dentist office should be ! Thank you for all your help , we really appreciate it ! Thank you for the time spending on her , I know your time is valuable and means a lot to us . We have been with Dental Arts Specialist for years . My daughter Briana started with Dr. Melvin when she was in need for orthodontist and then she was introduced to Dr. Jazmine . She loves both of them . I left numerous 5 stars reviews on other forms but I wanted to share with goggle . If there was more than 5 stars , I would give it !!!! Everybody is so profesional and nice . When you walk in , the receptionist is so kind and friendly . She really listens ! She is great ! Diana very helpful and understanding ! The billing department knows what they are doing . Never mistakes and always on point. All the hygienists and assistants are polite and knowledgeable . Thank you all ! It is always pleasure to come to the dental office . Dr. Melvin is great , over the years he paid close attention to Briana's teeth development and I think she has improvement . Dr. Jaz is so good . She is one of those kind, patient , funny, and amazing skilled doctor . Today was not a difference ! Briana needed 6 of her baby teeth to be removed and Dr. Jaz was great! She knew how to talk to Briana and made her feel relaxed , the assistant was so helpful too. Briana kept giving her " love you "heart sighs with her hands :) Thank you all for the dedicated work and time ! I know it's truly appreciated and it means a lot to us .

The whole office is so kind and patient. They just filled a cavity for my 7 year old who is very nervous and they were silly and made it fun for him.

Nothing but disorganization. Son's braces were taken off too early. Long waits in the office - sometimes up to an hour. Switched to a different dentist.

Personally I did not have a good experience They asked 400 dollars for simply brushing my sons teeth and told me that they need to put him to sleep because .? My son was compliant enough ,they push this general anesthesia right away don't have the patience because they make more money out of it . Don't want to answer basic questions about the anesthesia or my concerns snd ask for another 400 dollars again for that. I did find another pediatric dentist who had enough patience .

Dr Jazmin and her team is amazing. Warm welcoming and inviting in the office. Very personable, treated my child and I like family. Would definitely recommend her practice to anyone. Loves when she's explaining how the cause of problem works and how it needs to be treated. Very detailed to make sure you understand.

I am so disappointed my daughter was looking forward to finally getting her teeth fixed. I had the money and ready to start ASAP. We get there and clearly no one wants to be there. Horrible customer service. I see a sign to wait outside due to COVID there were four people behind the desk that looked at us then went about their business another employee walked right threw us and went in. I just walked in with the kids. Long story short. Not a clear indication what the next step is no appointment made but clear printout of what the cost is. A young lady came in to present price with an angry looking woman with her. No introduction or smile. Wow blessings to you all.... I called another place which I have to wait another month but at least she was nicer

I felt the need to give a review because of the constant negative experiences I've had with the Evanston location over the past year. As a service provider myself, nothing is more displeasing to a customer than a company that is dishonest and doesn't take accountability for their mistakes; especially in instances in which their statements can be fact checked. Both my girls are patients and get regular teeth cleanings. At the end of the appointment you can schedule the next 6 month cleaning appt in the future. On BOTH instances on the day of their next 6 month appointments I am told on that day that their appointments have been canceled. It always, coincident or not, has to due with the doctor not being in the office that week. This is understandable as scheduling does change in the future. What is not acceptable is when the client or parent doesn't receive a phone call ahead of time to inform them of the change and opportunity to reschedule. I expressed my strong displeasure in the lack of courtesy and communication of such changes as often parents have to arrange their schedules for child related appointments. I was informed that they call 2x regarding any changes. We have been supporting this business for over 3 years now so their business number is programmed into my contacts. I use my phone for both business and personal so I am more attentive to incoming calls and check them regularly. I truly have a distaste for dishonestly especially when it could get fact checked. Immediately, after my call to them, I pulled up my call history and the last call interation was back in November 2020 when I brought my daughter in the office for non cleaning related appointment. The next call I had from them was today in March 2021. There were no calls made or voicemails to me regarding any communications of appointment cancelation or rescheduling for a March 2021 teeth cleaning. Again, this lack of professionalism has occurred 2x to me in a row which is inconsiderate and rude. I've swept under the rug other grievances I've had regarding long wait times but today was enough. My advice would be to take accountability of your mistakes and don't tell a customer something that is knowingly untrue. Integrity is a must in your profession.

Dr. Dillard and her staff are awesome! The office runs smoothly, everyone is great with kids and I get clear feedback/instructions for them.

My daughter has been a patient here for about 2 years now and I absolutely love this place!!! Dr. Dillard and the dental art staff are so caring and compassionate that my daughter's jitters and anxiety quickly fades away as soon as we enter the facility. Dental Art Specialists is by far the best dental service I've ever experienced.

This practice knocked it out of the park with our kids today; so much so that I had to write a review immediately. Morgan (hygienist, I think?) spent extra time warming up our 4 year old to the idea of a dentist and got his informed consent for everything she did. She also charmed his socks off. Turns out she's a former pre-K teacher; it's a perfect role for her! She was also great with our ten year old. Had a non-shaming conversation about her nail biting that I think my daughter really took well (unlike when I talk to her!). The administrative team was incredibly helpful with scheduling and pre-checking cost of various services for us. My spouse and I will also be seeing their adult dentist later this month. They have our loyalty now!
