Dental Aid was the first not-for-profit comprehensive dental clinic in Colorado. Founded as a referral organization in 1974, Dental Aid opened its first full-service clinic in Boulder in 1980. Dental Aid now has clinics located in Boulder, Longmont and Louisville which provide emergency, preventive, restorative and specialty care including pediatrics, orthodontics, and oral surgery. Our tele-dentistry programs make oral health services more accessible by bringing the services of a registered dental hygienist to community settings where clients are already present.

Dental Aids mission is to improve the quality of life of children and adults struggling to afford health care by providing compassionate, affordable, high quality dental care and education, while advocating to ensure access to care.

Disrespectful front desk. Appointment was cancelled because the dentist was sick. They called me once, I missed the call, and they didn't leave the voicemail, email or text message to make sure I'm notified. They just let me drive there for nothing, not even for apology.

I went here for a consultation looking for a new dentist. I got a cleaning done here and it was very painful. Amanda, the hygienist, was way too rough on my gums and she was rushing because the cleaning was done in no time. There was a lot of blood that was coming out from my gums and I broke a sweat due to the excruciating pain. Now keep in mind that this was a regular cleaning, not even a deep cleaning, and she hurt my gums badly. I had cleanings done from multiple dentist offices over my lifetime, and this one was the most memorable because of how painful it was. I just hope it hasn't caused any permanent damage. I feel like this was intentional, and if it wasn't, I'm not sure how she is still a hygienist after how awful she did. I highly doubt she would do that to her own gums, she would be a lot more gentle. She would not be able to handle the pain, a lot of people wouldn't. I don't know what her problem was but that is unacceptable. This was the worst cleaning I've ever had.

Had X-rays sent from my 6 month, they charged me $75 to confirm what was needed. I waited for over 25 minutes for the super friendly dentist to look in my mouth for less than 10.. no procedure done today and they booked me a month out so the tooth can continue to decay. I'm extremely disappointed. I came here to get help and am out an extra $75 and hour of my life for no good reason. I'm a caregiver; that hour and $75 is important!! I cannot get an infection or prolong my own care. Clients rely on me!

My wife waited almost 3 months for an appointment. They were closed during covid stuff and reopened and didn't notify those with appointments that they were going to be open again. When you call and get the voicemail it says they are open for emergency procedures only and if you have a special case to call another number. Come to find out my wife actually missed the appointment because they had in fact opened back up...three months is a long time to wait for an appointment to then just have that vanish.

Avoid this place at all costs. My son was supposed to get his wisdom teeth out and they refused to send the oral surgeon the X-rays they had taken two months earlier even though we sent them a release form. The woman on the phone at Dental Aid did nothing to help and did everything she could to make it impossible to get the x-rays. She refused to answer the phone when we would call. We had to start using different cell phones to get through because she would see our number and the oral surgeon's number and refuse to answer. When we did get through she would put us on hold and never pick the phone up again. In the end we had to go to another dental office and pay to get x-rays taken again. The rudeness and incompetency of the staff at Dental Aid is beyond compare.

Completely incompetent. I went to Dental Aid to replace lost retainers. They took impressions and I paid on the spot ahead of time. When I went in three weeks later, they tried to shove someone else'a retainers into my mouth. The old man working there lacks any sense of customer service and did not even speak to me directly when shoving someone else's retainers into my mouth. They had a mixup, didn't even apologize about it, and had to retake impressions and send off for a new set of retainers. Currently I'm just praying I didn't waste $300 and the ones they sent for will fit. It is one thing to make such a mistake, but to handle it so poorly and without tact is frankly unacceptable. 100% do not recommend.

First off, I've been coming to Dental Aid since about 2013; and overall I've had good experiences. They don't hold onto Dentists for very long, so that part sucks :( I recently had a dental exam and filling from Dr. Hagen, and I can't express enough how thorough he was!! He took his time and was very accommodating. I don't feel I've had this treatment in a very long time. My only fear is 6 months from now, he probably won't be there.

My mom is visiting from out of state and cracked a filling. Dental Aid was able to get her in the same day I called and Dr. Hagen was wonderfully patient with my mom as she asked questions. He was able to quickly diagnose her, file down the sharp filling, and give her relief until she can go to her home dentist. Additionally, Dental Aid was very reasonably priced for this service, which my mom was very appreciative of.

Do not send your children to this place or they could be left without treatment! my daughter has braces and has been going here for about a year. last week we drove 1.5 hours to her appointment to not only not be seen but told they have cancelled their program so she is no longer a patient. left in limbo with no coverage. new medical director had no clue what they need to do for patients left with no provider and braces on their teeth. have not followed protocol to terminate care so patients can get a new provider. Tell me they are sending me records and still have not. Rude customer service upon entering and executive staff have no clue what they are doing.
