With a special interest in oral surgery, Dr. Ninh was selected to complete a yearlong clerkship in the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the University of Maryland Dental School. Through the clerkship he was able to gain additional education and experiences in oral surgery.
Dr. Ninh continued to advance his education by completing a 2 year residency in Advanced General Dentistry at the University of Maryland Dental School. His residency training allowed him to gain additional experiences in many aspects of dentistry involving cosmetics, oral surgery, endodontics, and dental implant placement and restoration.
During his dental school career, he was involved with many community service related events. He particularly enjoyed volunteering his time with Project Jump Start and Project Feast to help feed the homeless in Baltimore City, MD. Having a desire to continue to give back to the community, Dr. Ninh also became an Albert Schweitzer Fellow. The fellowship empowered him to create a positive change within the Baltimore City communitys oral health. As a Schweitzer fellow, he enjoyed teaching 2-4th graders the importance of their oral health through interactive learning and instilling them with self confidence towards their overall health. He also enjoys volunteering on international dental missions such as Operation Smile Vietnam, where he was able to participate in the exchange of knowledge, experience, culture and deliver dental care to the children of Vietnam.
