Our doctor provides general dentistry for patients of all ages and coordinatestreatmentwith the best specialists available locally. To communicate effectively with all our patients, some team members speak Vietnamese, Teochew, and Spanish. Dr. Loi Ta believes that dentistry is a beautiful combination of science and art. It was during his junior year of college that he discovered a love for dentistry. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis, he took a year away from school to study abroad in Shanghai, China. He then interned at the VA in Washington, D.C. In 2008, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.

While in dental school, he was selected to present his findings on oral cancer research at the Hinman Student Research Symposium in Memphis, the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, and the American Association for Dental Research in Los Angeles, CA. He also served on a mission trip to Ecuador, where he developed a deep love for patient care.

Dr. Ta continues his love of knowledge and passion for dentistry by taking multiple education courses each year and by reading the latest dental journal and research studies. In Puerto Rico, he completed a Maxicourse with 400 hours of training in complex implant surgery and IV sedation. He also completed a complex occlusion design training with Dr. Stephen Phelan and Guided Bone Regeneration and Soft Tissue Graft with Dr. Naheed Mohamed. Additionally, he completed an advanced surgical course in All-on X Ninja Implant Systems. In continuing his quest to bring his patients the highest level of care, Dr. Ta will be implementing BOTOX and dermal fillers through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE). Dr. Ta is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE).

Dr. Ta loves to have fun and treats each person he encounters with kindness and respect. He believes all his patients are an extension of his friends and family and enjoys speaking to each of them about their lives and their families. His gentleness and generosity also extends to his staff who describe him as a sweet and humble man who cares deeply for everyone he encounters. He is known to put others ahead of himself and continuously checks on his employees physical and mental health. His generosity also extends to the community where he is often witnessed giving and helping complete strangers whom are less fortunate.

Dr. Ta understands the importance of communication. This led him to study multiple languages. He is multi-linguistic--- proficient in Vietnamese, Chinese, and English and has team members who are fluent in Spanish. It is of upmost importance that all of his patients feel equally comfortable and understood.

When hes not caring for his patients, Dr. Ta enjoys exercising both his mind and body by practicing calisthenics, a form of street workout. He also enjoys traveling with his fianc and reading a good book while sipping on a freshly brewed cup of coffee at a local coffeehouse.

Rosie Rizo has worked in the dental industry as a registered dental hygienist for 20 years. Rosie loves educating patients and working closely with patients of all ages to help achieve excellent dental health. Rosie comes to us with years of experience helping patients with periodontal disease achieve optimum oral health. Rosie also loves to help explain, answer questions, and help ease any anxiety of your upcoming procedures with the doctor . Rosie is certified in N2O and laser bacteria reduction.

When not at work Rosie enjoys spending time with her two daughters, and her grandchildren. On the weekends, you can find Rosie watching a good movie with her husband, reading, and gardening. She looks forward to meeting every patient and becoming a part of their medical team.

Meet Jamie Conn. Jamie is our billing and insurance specialist. She has over 10 years experience in the insurance industry. Jamie is your go to girl with any questions you may have about your bill or your insurance. Jamie has lived in Odessa for over 30 years. Jamie holds a masters degree in healthcare administration along with a masters degree in management and leadership. In her free time Jamie enjoys reading and spending time with her precious grandbabies.

Meet Shannon Portillos! Shannon is our patient coordinator, along with her sparkling personality and awesome sense of humor, shes a great cook! Shannon is a native New Mexican and is loving officially being a Texan. Shannon comes from a close-knit family and is especially proud of her three beautiful children. Out of the office you can find Shannon trying new recipes in the kitchen, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with her family.

Gina is one of our wonderful dental assistants. She was born and raised here in Odessa.She has been a certified dental assistant for 9 years. Gina goes above and beyond to make patients feel comfortable and loved. Gina's compassion and kindness is evident in the way she treats staff members, and patients.Gina's favorite thing about dentistry is helping patients feel good about their smiles. Gina is the proud mom to two wonderful boys, and a beautiful daughter. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
