I called to set an appointment. I told the front desk about my insurance. she made me call the insurance company myself, the insurance company agent that I talked to called the front desk lady themselves and talked to her to tell them that i do have coverage but the front desk lady wasn't really listening then the insurance agent called me back to tell me that i do have coverage for this dentist but the lady she talked to had a flippant attitude and wasn't really listening to her and asked if i wanted a different provider. I still called them with the intention to go to them because they were referred by a very good friend of mine. the lady told me 450 dollars for a cleaning. 450 is an exorbitant amount that i have never seen a dentist charge for a simple cleaning. without insurance, my out of pocket cost for a different dentist cost me 100 dollars the worst part here is, i asked her how much of the cleaning my insurance would cover. she sounded annoyed and and told me to just pay upfront and submit the claim and see how much they reimburse. I even asked how much the insurance would normally cover for this. she told me rudely to just call and ask my insurance again. after calling my insurance. I found out, that the insurance will cover 100% of the cleaning. but thats not the issue. the issue is that I found out that this lady could have looked up my insurance on a provider website and found that information out and told me right away. SHE MADE ME CALL BACK AND FORTH TO WASTE MY TIME! ON TOP OF BEING RUDE, SHE DIDNT EVEN DO HER JOB!

Dr Volker referred Dr Chung to perform my extractions. I was nervous and had a panic attack. Dr Chung made me feel so comfortable and took his time with me. I highly recommend this dental office. The dentists are amazing and do a fine job!!!!

Great doctors (Dr. Volker and Dr. Chung) and hygienists! I've moved to UWS, but still come back to this dentistry because of the great doctors. They have only the best for you in mind! felt there were many situations where they could convinced me to do some costly procedures, but they talked me out of them.

Please don't go there! I was there for 2 cavities and one implant, the implant at this time is ok but the 2 cavities are still there. They did nothing the dentist just put a cover and the covers came out so the cavities were still there, I was very clear "please clean the cavities".

I can't express how happy I am to find this dentist. I have never experienced such a wonderful staff and excellent care. I always feel comfortable and pleased at every visit. Dr. Vokner no hands down is the the best dentist I've ever received care from. He takes his work serious and very passionate about what he is doing. He is not about making money or how much money he can get from your visit. He's all about how great he can make your teeth look how your feeling when you leave his chair. You will never feel like you are being over charged are someone is trying to have pay for something you don't even need. Just the thought of how much he listen to you what you don't like about your teeth what you want to change he listen to all. When you get your final result it is exceptional and even better than what you expected. I was never a person who loved to smile and now because of him I can't stop. Thanks Dent care this is not just a dentist they make you feel like family. That's how much care you receive!!!!!!

I am so glad to have found this dental practice. The dentist and the entire office has been very nice and professional during my visits. They are always ready for you at your appointment time so there is not a crowd of people waiting. I would highly recommend this practice.

I went to Dr. Volker's office recommended by a friend. As many individuals, going to the dentist causes great stress. However, after meeting Dr. Chung and the staff I feel very confident on their expertise. I am pleased to recommend him and the staff very highly. They set me at ease immediately throughout the whole process of and implant procedure. Meet Dr. Davis and Massie the Hygienic for my cleaning, I recommend both for their professionalism and expertise.

Dr. Volker and Dr. Chung are the BEST! The entire staff is friendly and accommodating and the wait is never very long (which is not the case at other practices.) They do fantastic work here. Highly recommend!

This place is the worst dental practice I have ever encountered! Beware of their insurance practices! My wife went to this place for a simple cleaning and asked if they accepted her insurance. They said they did and she goes for a simple tooth filling. At the end of the procedure, they tell her she has to pay $110 copay. I thought it was excessive since I only pay $20 at my dentist as copay. Today we receive another bill at home for another $70. I was perplexed as to why we 1) used our insurance, 2) paid $110 out of pocket while there have to receive 3) a bill for an additional $70? A filling without any insurance is probably cheaper. I called the office and I asked the lady who picked up if they accepted my wife's health insurance. She used an interesting term and didn't admit to accepting but said "they participated" with her insurance. I told her that this is not what they told my wife when she went to their office. Needless to say, that we won't be going anywhere near this place ever again. Beware and make sure they accept your insurance before going in and watch out for their predatory and bait and switch practices. We will follow with our insurance to see if they are accepted by this practice and if they engaged in any illegal practices with us. **** A response to the Dent-Care Dental since I cannot reply to them directly. However, everything that I have written here is based on hard facts that include my wife's experience, the bills we have paid, the insurance claims, phone conversations with your staff and your reply here. First let's review your response. You claim something about "adjudicated co-payments and fees". The definition of copay as per my wife's health insurance states: "A copay is a fixed amount you pay for a health care service, usually when you receive the service." So it's a fixed pay that you pay to your provider when they have accepted your insurance and their schedule of payments for their services. I have checked the insurance claims we have received from our insurance company. Insurance will usually covers part of the provider's cost as they can send thousands of patients to each practice. When the provider claims to "accept" the patient's insurance, they accept the insurance's schedule of payments. Here is where Dent Care misrepresents payments from us to cover the Dent Care costs on top of what insurance paid. But that is not copay, that is just payment for them not accepting my wife's insurance. So in effect Dent Care takes what our insurance pays while claiming that it "accepts" our insurance, but then covers the balance with the patients having to cover the difference out of pocket, conveniently calling them co-payments. We already paid $110, there is another $70 to be paid and it's not going to break the bank. But for us it's a matter of principle especially during these hard times for all that a medical office takes advantage of patients not having enough information to dispute their claims. We are honest and hard working people and any attempts to mute our voices in public forums is intimidation and we will not stand for it. We have local political representatives and other venues to air these grievances if you want to take them further. We can back up our claims at any time and place and your claims of insurance fraud are a futile attempt at invalidating our experience. This is a public comment and it's ridiculous to even make such a comment. But we will bring all of these up with our provider and our experience with your office this far.

Dr. Volker is excellent! I come from a dental family but they live in a different state and I needed a local dentist. Needless to say, I'm pretty picky about who I let care for my teeth and Dr. V is fantastic.
