Dr. Trevor L. Denny is a graduate of the prestigious University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology, as well as a Master of Science in Industrial Technology from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo.
Dr. Denny joins his sister Dr. Mary Denny Wagner at their family practice, which was started by their uncle Dr. Herb Barthels in the 1960's. Dr. Denny comes from a long line of dentists. His father is an orthodontist in Los Angeles, his brother is a general dentist in Redondo Beach, and his younger brother is a dental student in his last year at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry.
Dr. Denny was raised in Palos Verdes, California but spent much of his time in Santa Barbara where most of the family resided. Between his undergraduate and master's degree, Dr. Denny spent 2 years working in Japan and traveling throughout Asia. During his master's program at Cal Poly, he returned to Asia as a volunteer at Thailand's first community college in the northern town of Nong Khai. Here he served as an administrator and an English teacher.
At the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, Dr. Denny was active in the school-sponsored Student Community Outreach for Public Education program (SCOPE). He participated in various SCOPE activities, including health fairs targeting underserved populations. The highlight of the program was San Francisco's Project Homelessness Connect where Dr. Denny and his colleagues provided dental treatment to the homeless population in downtown San Francisco. Dr. Denny participated in an oral surgery rotation at Highland Hospital in Oakland, as well as a denture rotation at Laguna Honda Hospital in San Francisco. Dr. Denny was also a member of the Philippines Dental Mission where 35 volunteers spent their spring break providing dentistry in Manila and surrounding provinces. The trip was organized by Pacific dental students with the assistance of a local church. In his spare time, Dr. Denny enjoys traveling, surfing, swimming, and bike riding here in Santa Barbara.
Cherie Riley - Cherie is our super gentle hygienist, who has been with our practice for many years. Cherie grew up on the Central Coast attending local schools before graduating from the USC School of Dental Hygiene. As a member of the local, state, and national dental hygiene associations, Cherie keeps up to date with all the current trends of dental hygiene by taking Continuing Education courses. Patients are always pleased with her winning combination of a gentle touch and a thorough knowledge of dental hygiene. When not practicing dental hygiene, Cherie keeps up with her two girls enjoying the outdoors of Santa Barbara.
Lori Manzo - Lori joined our growing practice in 2012 with thirty years of dental hygiene experience.She has a gentle touch and a plethora of knowledge in both dentistry and nutrition. Lori grew up in Newport Beach and attended Orange Coast College, continuing on to dental hygiene school. Our patients love Lori's gentleness and carisma. When not practicing dental hygiene, you will find Lori in her organic garden or walking on the beach with her family.
Miriam Jimenez - Miriam comes to us with over 18 years of experience in the dental field. Miriam has been a Registered Dental Assistant working in Santa Barbara for many years. Included in these years she has the experience of working at a pediatric dentist's office, giving her the necessary skills and experience to work with children as well. Miriam's big smile and warm demeanor will comfort any patient in the dental office. Miriam is now running the front office. She is our Business Administrator. Miriam came to Santa Barbara at the age of nine and has been here since. She graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 1994. In her free time, Miriam tends to her two boys, and her little girl. Both of her boys are in college. She loves spending time with family and her kids.
Sabrina Baltadano - Sabrina joined our practice over 6 years ago. Sabrina was born and raised in Santa Barbara. She graduated from one of our local Santa Barbara Schools in 1998. She can be found running the back office. Sabrina has a gregarious personality that everybody enjoys. She has been a Register Dental Assistant for about five years, and has her X-ray and Coronal Polishing licenses. On her free time she enjoys watching one of her boys play football for our local high school, or spending time with her other boy and her two little girls.

Went for a 6 month checkup and cleaning. The staff was thorough with the exam/procedure. The dentist and hygienist were very explicit to each detail of treatment.The staff were friendly and accommodating.The bottom line, I felt they did an excellent job.

Just had my first consultation and it was as convenient as visiting the dentist can be. They squeezed me in last minute and provide quick, but thorough assessment and crafted a solid treatment plan that made sense.

Such kind and professional service that although it's a dentist appointment I look forward to going to visit with my dentist, my hygienist and the receptionist. The chair has a calming ocean view on the Mesa as well.

I am South African born, in my late seventies and have worldwide experience of dentists,. This is the best I have ever experienced. Dr Denny does not try to "sell" anything, unlike many, and Miriam at the front desk goes out of her way to assist. My Hygienist (regret name forgotten) is gentle, affirming and thorough. All in all, very impressive. I had a longstanding issue that no other dentist even noticed. Dr. Denny saw it and fixed it within 15 minutes. A rough edge on one tooth is now as smooth as glass.

Gentle, thorough, modern, organized. Dr. and staff all very friendly and explained everything. This was my first visit for checkup and cleaning. Highly recommend. Very calming ocean view from exam room icing on the cake.

Trevor Denny always does a good job and I like going very much. However, today I was told I have to wear a mask?! After all we now know I have to go in and play make believe? This is ludicrous. I don't have to wear one an inch outside the door and not in the chair but in between we all have to pretend because no one will admit they were wrong. Now I'm sure the reason is they're just doing what they have to do. That is a weak road to travel. They know better. Besides the mask wearing I like Dr Denny very much and will continue to patronize as long as they'll take me.

As always, the best experience one can reasonably hope for at the dentist's. Everyone is prompt, friendly, snd supremely competent. Unlike many dreary dental offices where one feels doomed, this office is cheery with lovely views. Highly recommended.

great experience today. two filling and a cleaning. I felt safe and dr Trevor was fast friendly and no pain..They look good and I was happy . I alsohad my teeth cleaned and the person doing was quick and gave me good suggestions and my next appointment.
