Dr. Lucas earned his undergraduate degree in English from Temple University in Philadelphia, graduating magna cum laude and earning induction into the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor fraternity. He received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh and served several associateships in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He has practiced dentistry in Naples since 1987.
Dr. Lucass post-doctoral training includes advanced dental education at the L.D. Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida, as well as extensive work with The Schuster Center for Professional Development, and numerous continuing education courses. He is a past president of the Collier County Dental Association and loves volunteering his time at the Neighborhood Health Clinic in Naples.
Outside of the office, you will find Dr. Lucas taking care of his own body and mind, often with his wife and fellow fitness enthusiast, Catherine. He enjoys weight training, fitness, cycling and reading. Catherine holds a Masters degree in Fine Arts from the New York Academy of Art, and you can see her masterpieces displayed in our office.
Sandra obtained her Expanded Functions certification in 1990 from the Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology in Naples and has been an integral member of Dr. Lucass team since 2015. She brings a broad range of dental experience to our practice, including pediatrics, endodontics, and general/cosmetic dentistry.
Sandra regularly completes extensive training in dental sleep apnea devices, as well as dental photography with the renowned Spear Education (previously known as the Spear Institute). She has a passion for staying current with the latest advances that dentistry has to offer, and looks forward to meeting you at your next visit.
Outside of the office, you will find Sandra spending time with her dear husband, Israel, their sweet daughter, Rebecca, and her large extended Cuban family. She also enjoys dancing, scuba diving and photography.

I've been going to Dr. Dennis Lucas since 1997 and I can't say enough about how happy I am with his services. Lately I've been getting my teeth cleaned by their new hygienist Eduardo and he's the best EVER! If you are looking for an honest, loyal and fair dentist in Naples, look no further!

We couldn't be happier with the dentist! We are from out of town and they worked us in when my son's tooth was hurting. The whole office is very nice and professional! The dentist even emailed our dentist at home to fill him in on the procedure.

After 9 years and 5 different dentists in SW Florida, seeking a practioner who could meet my rather complex dental needs, about 6 months ago I found Dr. Lucas. He combines old school knowledge and methodology with state-of-the art technology. Yesterday Dr. Lucas replaced 2 anterior crowns. I was very concerned about matching new crowns to my existing ones. The new crowns are perfect! Everyone in Dr. Lucas's practice, especially Sandra, hygienist Eduardo, and lab technician Tony not only met my expectations but exceeded them, and the entire staff are affable, capable, and always available to help me with my dental needs. My recommendation: A+++!

Dr. Lucas is an excellent dentist for major work. He was recommended to me by periodontist Dr. Timothy Davis to reconstruct crowns on my front teeth after an implant. Dr. Lucas and Dr. Davis worked seamlessly to fix and improve my smile after previous accident reconstruction fell apart. Dr. Lucas gave me new, natural looking crowns and veneers that fit my mouth, my smile and my face. He is careful about making you comfortable (even during 5+ hours of work). I am so happy with the way my teeth look and feel. I would never go anywhere else in Naples.

I am a retired Oral and Maxillo-facial Surgeon. When I moved to Naples, I actually searched for the perfect dentist for my problem. I found Dr. Lucas' office after visiting a couple of other dentists in the area, who were not impressive at all. I have been to Dr. Lucas' office too many times in the last couple years. I have had a wonderful experience each time and he has taken care of problems in my Oral cavity superbly and very very knowledgeable. This time I visited his office for Oral hygiene. I had a wonderful experience with EduardoChacin. He is an Endodontist from Venezuala. Unfortunately he is yet to finish his Required dental exams to obtain registration to practice dentistry in this country, but he is very well qualified to practice Dental Hygiene in this country. Eduardo has promised me that he will finish that soon. What can I say about Dr. Lucas. He is gem and his staff is very accommodating! Thank you everyone! Love

Just became a new patient at this dental practice my first visit was probably the most thorough exam I've had - staff was great friendly and helpful and did not wait long at all to see the dentist- was referred by my dentist of 20 years up in Nh - moved to Naples and needed a dentist!! Dr. Lucas is great. He fixed my broken tooth so well and so carefully, I barely felt a thing. He is meticulous, talented, professional, kind, and funny. The entire staff are wonderful, and they have the latest technology. My visit was pleasant and successful. Dare I say, I can't wait to go back.
