Many of our new patients who come in for an exam simply do not need orthodontic treatment at that time. Growing up, I knew I wanted to do something in the health field to help people improve their lives, andI knew I wantedto work with peopleon a one-to-one basis. My dad has recently retired as a general dentist, and I was fascinated watching my dad solve problems for his patientsthroughout the years.Seeingthe relationships he developed through his work, I knew the dental field was right for me. Its the ideal combination of healthcare, personal connections, and improving wellbeing.
I love getting to know each patient as a person. I particularly love seeing a person get excited about their transformation;as they move through their treatment, they become more confident and happy as they see the change in their smile. I grew up in Stone Mountain and have lived in Duluth, GA, since 2010. My husband, Brian Dempsey, and I met at the University of Georgia. Hes an optometrist and practices in Loganville.We have two beautiful daughters, Caroline and Victoria. When not at work Im usually playing with mygirls. I also enjoy exercising, spending time outdoors, traveling to Seaside, FL, Disney World, or any national park, and I am very active in my church, St. Columbas Episcopal Church.

I love when Im able to help a patient and their parent see there is a way to make orthodontic care affordable. At Dempsey Orthodontics, we believe everyone should have a healthy smile they love, and we are here tomake them happen! As our Financial Coordinator, I ensure patients get the most from their insurance benefits, file the paperwork, and follow-up on claims. I also develop financial contracts and handle billing matters. I started working in the dental field in 1995, and I've been working at our officesince 1998.
Originally from Colorado, Ive lived in Atlanta since 1991. My husband and I have been married for over 25 years, and we have an adult son. I read as much as possible, and enjoy watching movies, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
I love working in orthodontics; it allows me to be part of creating a lifetime of beautiful smiles while creating lasting friendships. I have enjoyed this joy for over25 years. Helping someone I care about develop great oral health and a radiant smile is incredibly fulfilling. My days are spent assisting Dr. Dempsey withprocedures while supporting our patients.
Im the proud mother to my amazing son, Scott. When not working, I love time with family and friends, as well as traveling to the beach and mountains. I also enjoy decorating, antiquing, and watching The Bachelorette, HGTV, and The Food Network.
I became an orthodontic assistant over 20 years ago and still love it as much as when I first started! I enjoy getting to know the patients during the course of their time with us, and Im always excited to see their smiles transform. I help Dr. Dempsey with procedures chair-side and do a lot for our office behind the scenes.
I have been married to my husband, Kent, for over 25 years, and we enjoy spending time with family and friends. On my time off I like to exercise, read, spend time at Rosemary Beach, and go to Georgia games- Go Dawgs!!! I love to travel when possible and see the world.
My name is Ale, and I am a New Orleans native. I've been an orthodontic assistant since I was 19 years old. I've called Atlanta home since 2007. I'm married to my best friend, Jeremy, and we have a beautiful daughter Audrey. I enjoy shopping, crafting, the movies, and Netflix. We love football season! I pull for the Saints, but we are raising a Georgia Tech fan!

Dempsey Orthodontist is where you want to have you or your child experience having Braces. Dr Dempsey and her staff are simply amazing!!! They make it fun and relaxing no stress for the child or as a parent. The office is very clean and a nice environment to be in. The day we got braces off they made it very fun and exciting!!! Do your self a favor and go to Dempsey Orthodontist for your kids!!! You won't regret! THE BEST!!

Dr Dempsey and her staff are the best! We had a terrible experience with a prior orthodontist who made my daughter very self conscious about her appearance. I was nervous to try again after that but there was no reason to be. I shared some of our experience with her prior to our first appointment and she went out of her way to compliment my daughter's smile and reassure her about what was to come. We've now been coming there for about a year and could not be happier. Dr Dempsey always has a smile, as does her staff who are fantastic as well. They have the most up to date equipment and lots of options for different scenarios. We are especially grateful for Amberly, who met us after hours one day when my daughter's bracket broke. We love Dempsey Orthodontics!

Dr. Dempsey and her staff are absolutely wonderful! I've had multiple kids go through treatments and everything is always explained on their level. Staff makes visits fun with chair rides for my little kids and the big kids love the prizes at the start and end of treatments. Office staff is very easy to work with and very accommodating! We've continued treatments during COVID-19 and feel very confident in the safety protocols they have in place. I absolutely recommend!

Couldn't be happier with the service and treatment my son received at Dempsey Orthodontics. The staff is always friendly and helpful and answered all my many questions at every appointment. They always explained all available options for my sons braces, treatment plan, and before/after care with braces. They also involved my son and taught him how to properly care for his braces and were always flexible with our schedule and always on time. Would definitely recommend this orthodontics practice to anyone!

All three of my children are/have been patients at this office at we couldn't be happier! We have always experienced the utmost professionalism and the nicest staff. We drive about 25 minutes to see Dr Dempsey, passing numerous other orthodontists on the way because we love this office so much. During Covid-19, my daughter has had 2 virtual appointments with Dr Dempsey for her Invisalign. We are so thankful that she has been able to keep her treatment going during this time.

We had an ortho emergency and our regular orthodontist(who was too far away for a quick resolution of the problem) recommended Dr. Dempsey close by. Even though my daughter wasn't a patient they saw us without an appt and treated her issue quickly plus giving extra special kindness since she was a special needs person. Would highly recommend this practice!

This is hands down the best orthodontist in Gwinnett! They are kind, friendly, considerate and with excellent value. I take all my children here and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an orthodontist. My kids love going to see the orthodontist and they are very comprehensive in their explanation of what is the best treatment for each child.

I put off getting braces until two years ago. I had an over-bite, and my lower, front teeth were very crowded. I chose Invisilign. Yesterday, I had the appliances taken off. My teeth look straight, and great! I am so happy. Dr. Dempsey is an Awesome Orthodontist! She is so nice, personal, and professional! Dr. Phelan is great, too! All the staff are so nice, so accommodating, and very professional! Phelan-Dempsey Orthodontics are the best with a fantastic team!
