Deming Childrens Dentistry & Orthodontics has pediatric dental specialists on staff overseeing our dental operations. Pediatric dentists are childrens dentists who elect to take an extra two years of schooling to specialize in pediatric dentistry. Our childrens dentists work with children aged nine months to 18 years, and with special needs patients up to 26 years. No matter how minor or serious your childs needs are, we have the knowledge and technology upon which you can rely.
Luis Gutierrez, DDS, MSD was born and raised in Peru. He attended the University of California, San Francisco where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. During dental school, he was president of the Hispanic Dental Association Student Chapter and won several awards for his accomplishments Following dental school, Dr. Luis completed his specialty training in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree from the University of Colorado, School of Dental Medicine. He has presented his research work in scientific meetings and was published in the American Journal of Orthodontics. Dr. Luis and his wife are the proud parents of two girls, and they enjoy biking and cooking together. Dr. Luis is excited to be part of this community and looks forward to meeting your family.
Bianca Rae Ramirez, DMD was born and raised in Animas, New Mexico and is a proud native to Hidalgo County. Dr. Ramirez graduated from Animas High School and continued her education at the University of New Mexico where she received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Spanish. She received her DMD degree with a Certificate in Public Health from A.T. Still University- Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ASDOH) in Mesa, Arizona. Through her dental experience, Dr. Ramirez has learned that working with and teaching children is her passion. She loves working with children of all ages and is honored to have found a way back home to serve all of her fellow New Mexicans in the best way she knows how; with a smile.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets, and in some cases, you can even choose the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years depending on several factors, including age, treatment method, and the severity of your case. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

I like this place. I'm scared of going to the dentist but when I come here I don't feel as bad I feel comfort and I appreciate the good job they do

Well my sons dentist here is great the office is bad at returning calls or emails...I have been trying to get a hold of them to check up my son who is a bad teether & has been grinding his teeth in his sleep to see if they can do a follow up. Such a shame...I may have to find another dentist pediatric or not to see who see him and help him...

Doctor Ramirez is Awesome! Staff is great as well! My little guy is autistic and it was his first time at the dentist so needless to say he was scared. The team made him feel so comfortable and Doctor Ramirez even got him to open his mouth and count his teeth! Hands down best pediatric dentist around!

The staff was wonderful and accommodating . My daughter is very sensitive and needs trauma informed settings. The dentist was very kind and made her feel very comfortable. Best childrens dentist in the area that i know of . Very grateful

Everyone here is wonderful! My 3 year d absolutely loves going to the dentist (as opposed to me who is terrified ). The staff is caring and takes their time with my daughter and when she requested a Moana toothbrush this time, the assistant went and specifically looked for one. The doctor was amazing with my little one too. Just all around recommend them. Also, my they put Frozen on for my little one to help pass time. I just love how they care for their patients!
