Dr. Souvik Sarkar attended the A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences in Mangalore, India, where he received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree. While in India, he worked as a dental surgeon for Lab Tech, Inc. Dental Clinic and Prasiddhi Dental Clinic. In 2009, Dr. Sarkar moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where he completed his Master of Public Health degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
During his time at UNT, Dr. Sarkar worked in the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy as an assistant for Rustin Reeves, Ph.D. In 2013, Dr. Sarkar moved to Los Angeles, California, and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. After completing dental school in 2015, Dr. Sarkar moved back to Texas, where he worked in the city of Snyder at Snyder Smiles as a general dentist. There, he served both children and adults, helping all patients achieve better smiles.
In 2016, Dr. Sarkar moved to Weatherford, Texas, where he started Main Street Dental. Now, Dr. Sarkar continues to work as a general dentist for children and adults and strives to be an active member of the community. As a dentist, his goal is to provide excellent, comprehensive care to his patients in friendly and caring environment. He strives to educate and encourage his patients to achieve an optimal state of oral health. In short, Dr. Sarkar believes that everyone should have a beautiful, healthy smile that will sparkle forever.
Dr. Sarkar is originally from Kolkata, India, and is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati and Bangali. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and driving. He also enjoys applying is diploma in Fine Arts to his own artwork and paintings.

This place is the worst. I have received multiple letters from my insurance stating that they need information to process a claim from back in March. If not processed I will end up with the full bill. Now I've filled out another ridiculous covid form and left a comment about how the world needs to move on and they refused to see me becuase I refused to fill the from out without the comment. I stand by my statement. Don't waste your time with this place like I just did.

Liz and Dr. Zhou were awesome! I received a deep cleaning and it wasn't painful but refreshing! They also started me on a great treatment plan to help me get a great smile again. I'd definitely recommend their services!

I do like the dentist and she does well on my teeth. However, I went there for the first time 2 months ago and filled out paperwork which is normal for a new patient, whatever. I did not expect having to redo that paperwork my second appointment. I questioned the receptionist and she tells me patients have to do the paperwork every visit that they do not keep it. At this point, I was respectful, but annoyed that I had to fill this out, again. I decided not to put as much information on the paperwork as it seemed irrelevant to me and there was no issues or questions with any of my health concerns or medications the first time. So, I didn't list anything like I had the first time. I turned the paperwork in and the receptionist questions me about a previous medication that I had listed two months prior, when she pulled my name up on her computer.... but apparently they don't keep that information, right? So not only did I have to redo the paperwork when CLEARLY they still had the info, but she announced my (very personal) medication out-loud in the waiting room when she questioned me from across the room. I wasn't even at the desk. I was IN THE WAITING ROOM. Talk about a privacy issue. So, If you DO NOT WANT TO DO PAPERWORK EVERY VISIT, and if you want respect for privacy, Don't go here. This whole experience was frustrating.. if you don't mind this thought, then the dentist is good.

Everyone was beyond professional. I was (pleasantly) surprised by how courteous the staff were. They were informative and accommodating in a way that felt genuine. Although going to the dentist may not be the highlight of someone's day, they definitely helped make it as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend :)
